Davido gives back to society. Under priviledged, orphans and schools benefit as he turns 21

Davido added another year today 21^st of November, and the superstar decided to give back to society to celebrate the milestone. The singer who is gearing up for the release of a new single started his day by dropping by Ikeja Government Primary School where he presented the pupils with stationery and electronics to aid learning. It’s just paper gains, but it counts. Nigerian banker Tony O. Elumelu has become at least $123 million richer between November 1 and November 21 as shares of Transcorp PLC, a Nigerian-Stock Exchange-listed conglomerate, surged 186% in that period.

Transnational Corporation Of Nigeria, usually referred to as Transcorp, is an emerging conglomerate holding investments in hotels, power and agriculture. On November 1, the company’s stock was trading at N1.87 ($0.01), and at the close of trading today (Thursday), the stock was trading at N5.35 ($5.35). According to an analyst who did not want to be quoted, there has been an unprecedented demand for Transcorp’s shares at the bourse on account of the company’s recent acquisition of the Ughelli Power plant, a strategic power generation company that the government recently sold in a privatization exercise.

Michelle Obama cites these shorts as her biggest fashion regret

When asked what her biggest fashion regret was during an interview with BET's "106 and Park" this week, US First Lady Michelle Obama said the shorts (pictured above) which she wore as she exited  Air Force One with her daughters during a family vacation in Arizona was her biggest fashion regret.

Mrs Obama said she regretted wearing it back in 2009 because of the backlash she received from people who felt it was inappropriate for a First Lady to dress like that.

She told BET,

"Because people were like, 'she's wearing shorts getting off of Air Force One. Sometimes I forget I'm the first lady and I'm running around in shorts."

Michelle said she won't wear shorts on Air Force One or out in public again. But what's wrong with wearing shorts tho?

The striding team takes over Lagos

 

Something is going on in Lagos and it will be big courtesy Johnnie Walker. There are hot ladies all kitted up in nice looking F1 jumpsuits literately stopping traffic with their strides. President Jonathan undergoes medical check up in London

Presidential spokesperson Reuben Abati has announced that the president is currently undergoing medical check up in the UK but says it's nothing serious. See the State House press release below...

In the course of his on-going visit to London for a meeting of Nigeria’s Honorary International Investors’ Council, President Goodluck Jonathan became indisposed and could not be present at the opening of the meeting today. President Jonathan has since been examined by competent medical practitioners. He has been advised to rest for a few days.

The Presidency wishes to assure all Nigerians that President Jonathan’s condition is nothing serious and that the medical attention he has sought is only precautionary.

Update on Adaobi: Man suspected of killing her was her roommate

Found more details about 26 year old Adaobi Michella Obih who was found dead on Tuesday Nov. 19th at an apartment in Columbus, Indiana. The man suspected of killing her, 36 year old Ryan Allen Klug, was her roommate. Adaobi was stabbed multiple times and her throat cut.

Police were alerted to Obih’s death after she missed work Monday and Tuesday without notifying anyone. Concerned coworkers contacted her apartment complex to ask about her. Police also contacted the property manager to request a welfare check, according to the arrest affidavit.

A maintenance worked went to check on the woman and said, “It’s not good, there is blood everywhere” after going to Obih’s apartment.

A neighbor said he noticed that the door to Obih’s garage spot was open and had been open for at least 24 hours. Klug, who police described as Obih’s roommate, parked his vehicle there.

Oprah Winfrey awarded highest civilian honour by President Obama

President Obama yesterday Nov. 20th presented talk show legend and media mogul Oprah Winfrey and 15 others with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which is America's highest civilian honor. The award is given to individuals who have made "meritorious contributions to the security or national interests of the US, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.”

Young Nigerian woman killed in Columbus Indiana by her neighbour

The body of 26 year old Adaobi Michaella Obih (pictured above) was found yesterday Tuesday Nov. 19th at an apartment at Riverstone Apartments in Columbus, Indiana. Her death is being investigated as a homicide.

A spokesman for the Columbus Police Department said her neighbour, 36 year old Ryan Allen Klug,  (pictured above) is a person of interest in the case. Ryan also lived in the apartment complex but has gone missing since Adaobi's body was found.

The Columbus Police have not revealed how and why Adaobi was killed but they're currently seeking the public’s help in locating Ryan Klug.

Adaobi was the first of two children and was already pursuing her PHD in Electrical Engineering at just 26 years old. So sad! May her soul rest in peace...Amen.
