Tragedy befell the Ghana Police service as one female officer identified as Peace Agbemefo was on Monday found dead in her room after allegedly shooting herself in the throat with an AK 47 rifle.
Confirming the painful death, the Garu District Police Commander, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Alexander Tieku told Graphic Online on Tuesday, that preliminary investigations showed that the 31-years-old deceased had a relationship problem.
According to ASP Tieku, the deceased’s action may have been triggered by a failed marriage promise made to her by her fiancé.
He said the lifeless body of Peace was found by one of her colleagues when she went to her house to check on her.
He said when the colleague arrived at the deceased’s house and after several knocks on the door did not elicit any response, she called for a carpenter to force open the door only to see Peace lying in a pool of blood and holding the gun.
ASP Tieku said the body has been deposited at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital pending a post-moterm and discloses that the police were still investigating the incident.

Things are really happening. she could afford to kill herself with a gun because she has access to it. Young ladies who have been going through heartbreaks and still not married even though they so want it. You should be happy for one thing. You are still here and you are strong. some people went through what you have gone through and they are either dead or mad so thank God for the beautiful life he has given you. Why die because a relationship failed. There is more to a woman than marriage. Please ladies love yourself and dont think you are not complete because you are not married. Live your life to the full, be happy and in so doing you will meet your mr. right one day.Im not gonna say RIP cos she just bought herself a ticket to hell faya.
