According to Sahara Reporters, late Senator Adeleke had been suffering from severe leg pain that required him to be injected with pain killers.
Dr Aderibigbe who has acted as one of Adeleke's personal doctors, allegedly injected the deceased with an overdose of the medication that caused his death. Aderibigbe is being accused of practicising medicine illegally.
The police arrested Aderibigbe yesterday and have detained him at the State Investigation Bureau of the Nigeria Police in Oshogbo where he is being interrogated.
Preliminary report of an autopsy ordered by the Osun State government and Mr. Adeleke’s family indicated that the senator died of drug overdose. Aderibigbe reportedly gave him analgesics intravenously.
