Akolade was sentenced to death for stabbing his wife 76 times, by an Ikeja high court in 2014.
His pleading came as the Committee on Prerogative on Mercy said that the state will not fail to exercise its prerogative on prisoners, who proved to have been reformed.
Arowolo was among 74 prisoners called out by the committee, led by Professor Oyelowo Oyewo, set up by the governor to review their plea applications.

What exactly does he want to do with a pardon? Can he ever fit back into society now that everyone knows his face.
