Police Declare Ndudi Elumelu Wanted On Charges Of Attempted Murder

Ndudi Elumelu
The Delta State Police Command has declared a member of the Federal House of Representatives, Honourable Godwin Ndudi Elumelu wanted for aggravated assault and attempted murder of some youths after a botched campaign rally yesterday.

Police sources in Delta told THEWILL that Elumelu is wanted for questioning following revelations that he led a team of mobile policemen attached to him to Ubulu-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area of the Delta State, where they opened fire on youths in the area who had locked him out of the venue of a political rally in Ewulu earlier in the day.

THEWILL has however not been able to independently confirm the exact number of victims that were wounded in the Saturday night incident but reports say some victims have been hospitalized while the police in Ubulu-Uku have recovered shelled live ammunitions from the scene of the gun attack.

Investigations further revealed that Elumelu had sold a story to the town that the state Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan would be campaigning in the area yesterday (Saturday) as he prepares to test his popularity in the April Governorship election.

Ewulu is a town in Aniocha South Local Government Area of the state.
Excited that the state governor was coming to the town, indigenes were said to have gathered at a primary school where canopies had been erected to receive the governor. The palace of the traditional ruler was also given a quick facelift in anticipation of the Uduaghan’s impromptu visit.

But the town would later receive the disappointing news that it was all a hoax. Elumelu had invoked the governor’s name to gather a huge crowd to attend his own campaign rally for a return to the House of Representatives.
THEWILL gathered that the indigenes of the town had gathered at the primary school ground and waited for over 5hrs for the governor to arrive.

Meanwhile some prominent politicians from the Local Government Area including the state House of Assembly member representing the area, Hon. Joan Amaechi-Mrakpor, contacted Government House for details of the governor’s itinerary during the said visit to the LGA. When the news filtered into the arena that the governor’s name had been used by Elumelu to lure them to the stomp they left the venue in anger while youths of the town put a chain and padlock on the school’s gate.

The lock prevented Elumelu from entering the ground when he arrived to the now almost deserted arena. He was reported to have left in annoyance with a promise to deal with those responsible for locking him out of the school.
After a visit to the residence of a political ally in the town, Mr. Emeka Okwudishi, he returned to a location at about 11.pm where the leader of the group, Charles Odiaka and some persons were meeting and allegedly ordered his policemen to open fire on the gathering.
The district police command confirmed the unprovoked shooting in the area, adding that it was taking statements from witnesses while Elumelu has been declared wanted for complicity, aggravated assault and complicity in the attempted murder of the youths that received gunshot wounds.

The district office said it has sent a signal to the CID and command headquarters in Asaba.
Several calls to the honourable member of the House of Representatives were left unanswered.
Recall that a few weeks ago, Senate Majority Leader, Senator Teslim Folarin (PDP, Oyo) was detained and charged alongside some security aides for the murder of a politician, Alhaji Lateef Salako aka Eleweomo in Oyo State.

Ndudi is a very dangerous man..he was previously married to a family friend and wanted her to participate in some very ritualistic acts, and she ran home to her parent's house never to return...

Has his EFCC case been quashed? These are the kind of demons that are making laws for people yet they don’t abide by them.
Elsie; spot on. You are very correct. I grew up with the girl’s family. He’s since married someone else so it means his current Mrs is fine with his dabbling! Heard it’s his whole family that dabbles. So go and figure that out. Tony Elemelu’s clone.
