'If I don't have a girl this time, maybe baby No.5': Victoria Beckham

Speaking to CNN yesterday, Posh said: 'If I don't have a girl this time, then maybe I'll be lucky enough and have a girl the next time.'

She already has three boys and another baby on the way. But Victoria Beckham suggested she may try for a fifth child with husband David if their next arrival is another boy.

Silly Question: Why do some people insist on having both male and female children?

My mum had seven kids. Mainly because she was looking for a boy. Her first five kids were girls, so she went for a sixth, turned out to be a boy. She decided to try for another boy, it turned out to be another girl, so she stopped.

My former neighbour had four boys, and at the age of 42/43, tried for a girl...it turned out to be another boy. I don't know if she stopped there...like I said, she's a former neighbour...:-)

So why is it not OK to have just boys or just girls?
Thoughts?

Kai Linda she was kidding when she said that. She has had 3 cesareans already, a fifth would be extremely risky. She said she would be happy with either sex but I can imagine having a girl would be a pleasant change from all that testosterone in the house. I'm sure posh would have so much fun dressing her up and stuff. And who doesn't want a little girl to buy pretty things for especially when you can afford them.
I hope she has a girl.

For me, I want both a boy and a girl for the best of both worlds experience, but I'll take whatever God gives me when the time comes.

SN: Kai your mama try o. 7 children no be beans. lol

i dont think it is the having the two sexes per say...i think what it is is she would love to have a girl child...go shopping together, prob share clothes... you know there are some things mothers can do with girls they cant do with boys... and daddy would probably want someone he can pamper rather than someone he can play ball with...u know what i mean...

People are so obsessed with having boys or girls because they are not grateful to God for giving them what He has given them. Some people who are barren or experiencing delays will do anything to just have one, whether boy or girl.

I only experience the same thing. I and my wife planned to have just 2 kids. But our first 2 issues happen to be girls. To my amazement, my wife said she wanted a boy. Thank God, the 3rd issue happens to be a boy. But assuming, one is experiencing delay, she would just have wished for any sex, not minding male or female.

It's the same reason as why we are covetous of our neighbors cars, houses, and body :-p

Lol...well if oyu know the number of croc bags and diamond jewellry this lady has, then you'd understand how imperative it is for her to have a daughter to inherit all that stuff...fate has its way of setting folks straight sha cos she might have the daughter and then they daughter would pull a Chastity Bono on her, doing sex change, ordering penis from france feeling she is a male trapped in a female's body, somtimes it's just ok to accept ur fate in life and know that God never makes mistakes.

We will never be contempted in life no matter how big we acquired things in life, some are having boys looking for a girl and vice versa, while some does not hv at all .

There are three guys embarking on a journey to the same destination and they were told to load their pockets with Stone as many as possible, 1st guy was having a thought dat it was going be insane to put Stone in his pocket and the 2nd guy put just a little, while the 3rd guy filled all his pocket with Stone.
Eventually, the Stone turned to Gold when they reached thier final destination and the 1st Guy was comtemplating dat he would hv had taken just 1 Stone, the 2nd guy said he supposed to hv filled all his pocket with Stone while the 3rd guy that was fully loaded was blaming himself for not putting Stones in his hands.

It is just a nature and will continue to be until we are above the ground level.

Hmmm! I would think that it should be obvious that the only 100% sure way to have a baby girl (or boy for that matter) would be to adopt one......just saying!

I feel Victoria Beckham because i have 2 wonderful, handsome boys. But please, every mother needs a daughter.

I dont see anything wrong in desiring a boy and a girl. Its the best of both worlds but i'd be happy with what God gives me. Pls having girl is fun cos you get to do girlie things with them and dress them up in the cute outfits.

I prayed for a girl when i was pregnant and God gave me one, Next child, i'll pray for a boy. Its called heart desire and he grants them. But more importantly is that they're healthy either sex.

All i asked God for are two healthy kids that will love and be loved.
As soon as the 2nd one arrives in a few weeks time, we don resign be dat.Gender of the child is irrelevant but i am so glad i have a daughter. She dey make my heart Yori Yori

I cant really blame her, my mum use to say something "any woman wey no get daughter make she begin cry even before her old age, because she cant avoid suffering for it later in life" that is the cruel irony of life.

I read it somewhere last week that David said they are having a girl! If it’s false and she doesn’t have a girl maybe God is trying to tell her to stop being self-centred. It’s human nature to want to have a girl after having all boys. Personally, i consider it selfish. A child is a child.

I still don't know how that size zero body squeezed out three boys talkless of the fourth one coming. Never been a fan of hers, I was very surprised that she had children because she appears to be very self absorbed but I am sure the nannies are the ones doing the real dirty work. Sha, may God grant her heart's desire, if it's a girl that she want but a healthy baby is most important.

I've always wanted a boy first, don't ask me why but I've always felt that I will have a son before a daughter. I want both, if I have fraternal twin boy/girl, I will be in heaven for sure! Again, I want healthy children first and foremost.
