Congrats to the new parents. It's always every newly-marrried couple's prayer to have children, so shall it be with each and every one of us in Jesus name.
Not sure about the baby's name though, what's with naija celebs lately with giving their children western names sef.
@wienna: isn't the same issue, lack of pride in their culture? and i don't even know if they do research on these names, like mona lisa chinda who named her daughter Tamar who tricked her father in law into pregnating her by posing as a prostitute. it shows in nollywood films, when its a village movie everyone is nkechi, obiora, ikechukwu but if its a city film and the characters have money, they become Maxima (yes - Dakore Egbuson!), Prisca (yes - Stephanie Okereke), Rosalind etc.
Lack of Pride! Indian people come go to America and their children remain Sanjit, Sanjay, Jhumpa etc same thing with Hispanics, Chinese etc but not Nigerians o. To think there are Nigerians in the US whose parents are from the same tribe and the kids speak only English, its a shame. We will soon end up a country of all English speakers.
There is no excuse. I am Nigerian, my husband is Polish and our children speak my tribal dialect, Polish and they are learning French and Spanish. Children are sponges, they soak up languages more easily than adults so there is no excuse for that fear that they will not be good at English because their first language is a native dialect.
Nobody understands everything you have to have like you do. Also, some individuals are unable to have their tongue accurately pierced thanks to your orientation of necessary nerves and blood vessels.
By the end I hope it will be clear on the difference.
