I saw this lady, Lisa Williams, on the Oprah Winfrey show some days ago. She's a self-described medium, who has a show called Lisa Williams: Life Among the Dead.
The show follows Lisa as she allegedly communicates with the dead, investigates haunted houses, and conducts other spirit-seeking activities.
Lisa is the granddaughter of Frances Glazebrook, a well known British medium.
She claims to have spoken to Bob Hope, Princess Diana, Natalie Wood, Marilyn Monroe and Ray Charles after they died.
Mediums are people who have a special gift that allows the spirit people to give mesages from the afterlife. The objective of a medium's work is to prove survival of the human personality after death and to help the bereaved come to terms with their loss.

Gloria Taylor Dies
The mother of stabbed schoolboy Damilola Taylor has died of a suspected heart attack just miles from where the ten-year-old was killed on Tuesday 8th of April 2008.

Gloria Taylor, 57, who dedicated her life after her son's death to helping underprivileged children, collapsed while walking near her home in Blackheath, South East London, on Tuesday night.

The key point is "if you fell out it might now have been love in the first place" I believe there are varying degrees of love and when you love the greatest, you cant ever let taht go.

Mediums are familiar spirits. It means that they are demonic spirits sent to utilise their powers using the human bodies. A typical example is in the bible where King Saul visited the medium in Endor to enquire about dead Samuel (the prophet), and she actually invoked the spirit of Samuel. Which i don't think was real 'cause at the end of the day King Saul died a very miserable death.
Then there is the case of the man that had a legion of demons, that is, about 2,000 of them, and Jesus had compassion on him casting the demons out of him into the swines that were grazing nearby the scene. The swines were driven into the sea. The owners of the swines had to beg Jesus to leave their vicinity as the scenario was too overwhelming for them after seeing the demonaic in the right frame of mind.
I don't have the bible quotes but if one searches for it; it is depicted both in the New and Old Testament.
It is scary - it can be scary but with God all things are possible.
About the mediators...I think they exist all over the world. haven't you heard of African's asking their dead what killed them. They exist but might exaggerate who they've kept in touch with.

i watch Lisa show every Sunday on reality Tv and it looks so real....I'm a Christain but I think there are lots of things we dont know and are not really explained in the Bible, so maybe it's very possible

Love is a feeling and I don't think it is possible to not experience that feeling anymore...No matter how little it may be, you will still feel it for someone. You can fall for someone and discover that you are not feeling what you use to feel. It doesn't mean you have fallen out of love, it only means you are no longer falling for the person.
Love is not a person, it's a feeling. In as much as you continue to love, you can never fall out of love.

How do you know they are demonic, because the Bible gives a decription in that sort of way, makes all of them evil?
There are people who are naturally gifted who can see the future either by dreaming or just having that 6th sense, there are some mediums who just by looking at them you know there is some funny stuff going on but there are some people who are just gifted example my husband!

@Anon: 8: 16PM: Thanks for your write up, i really appreciate it. For starters, one does not over read the bible, rather, one has a revelation of the bible through the Holy Spirit. To have a greater revelation of some topics in the bible you can ask the Holy Spirit to give you an understanding, that is, if you believe in Him, as He is a person.
