Muktar, an operative of the Commission when he received scores of protesters under the aegis of “’Coalition of Civil Rights Oraganisations, Concerned Youths and the Ijaw Nation Worldwide” who thronged the Port Harcourt Zonal office to protest what they called undue harassment of the former first lady, Patience Jonathan.

36-year-old Nigerian man, Igwe Francis died under mysterious circumstances, moments after he got into a scuffle with his former landlord, in southwest Delhi’s Uttam Nagar, on January 6th, 2017. Francis reportedly got into an argument with his former landlord, Liaquat Ali, who claimed he owed him Rs 30,000 in rent. According to the Police, since Francis was not fluent in English, Ali wrote the figure “30,000” on a signboard at the spot.

Paris Jackson wins! Episode starring Joseph Fiennes as Michael Jackson in TV comedy series has been cancelled after outcry

The episode in a TV comedy series, Urban Myth, which offended Paris Jackson because a white actor portrayed Michael Jackson will not be aired on Sky Art. Sky released a statement Friday, following Paris' rant that the episode has been cancelled adding that they never intended to cause any offence. Asides Paris' outburst, another factor that probably led to the episode being pulled was a petition signed by more than 20,000 people to boycott the episode in objection to Joseph Fiennes being cast as Michael Jackson. Newborn baby kidnapped 18 years ago found alive and well

A newborn baby, Kamiyah Mobley, who was kidnapped from a hospital in Florida in 1998, just hours after she was born, has been found alive and healthy in South Carolina, authorities announced Friday, cracking a case that went unsolved for 18 years.
“She appears to be a normal 18-year-old woman,” Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams said of , Kamiyah Mobley who was found in Walterboro living under a different name. “She has a lot to process, a lot to think about.”

Russia to launch funeral app that helps when someone dies

A new Russian app ‘Umer’ that allows people to organise funerals on the go will be launched in March 2017. According to the developers, the app is designed to make it easier for heartbroken families and relatives unfamiliar with the process to arrange the funerals of their loved ones. The users will be able to type in the deceased's name, date of death, religion and address, before receiving options and prices for different cemeteries and funeral directors. The customer is then put in contact with an operator, who arranges the details.

Police are currently hunting for a famous Malawian businessman who is on the run for allegedly killing a boy with albinism for money ritual.

The businessman identified as Willard Mikayele on Tuesday allegedly lured 19-year-old Sunganani Pensulo with biscuits and juice into his house at Mlonda Village, where he killed him.

Ex-marine mother kills her 9-year-old daughter and herself

46-year-old Ericka Bellamy Joseph and her 9-year-old daughter, Akili Joseph, were found dead at their home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in what is believed to have been a murder-suicide.

Though no one was there to witness the incident, Ericka Bellamy who used to be in the marine is believed to have killed her daughter before taking her own life.

Tragic accident on 3rd mainland bridge last night causes severe injury, eye witness gives account of what happened (Graphic photos)

According to Twitter user, Gbemi Famoti, an accident occurred on third mainland bridge on Thursday 13 January 2017 which left some injured, led to the destruction of over ten cars and nearly claimed his life.

The accident was as a result of an oversight by the road construction company. Famoti wrote on Twitter, blaming the government for the accident that almost claimed lives, saying it was as a result of their "constant negligence and disregard for safety."
