Former actress Dolly Unachukwu marries again

She is now Dolly Unachukwu-Olaniyan. She quietly married a man she calls her best friend and confidant, one Dr Olaniyan, several weeks ago. They had a traditional and church blessing and are planning a white wedding in the coming months. Dolly's new husband is a pastor.

This will be the 41 year old's third attempt at marriage. Her first marriage crashed in 1994 and her second some years back. She has two children. All the best to her.

We no even see one, she dey on her 3rd one, na wa o...lol

No, that is not Genevieve Nnaji's daughter

The pic has been circulating all over BB, Twitter, Facebook and blogs, with the caption, Genevieve Nnaji and daughter. Genevieve has a teenage daughter, but that is not her. The lady in the pic is a model. I guess the story started because of the resemblance...but she's no kin of hers. You know some people start a story as a joke and before you know it, it spreads like wildfire. The actress would never expose her teenage child like this...at a party, long weave, boobs on display, carrying a wine glass...common guys...:-)

To see the real pic of Genevieve's daughter, then continue...

Uganda to pass the 'Kill The Gays' Bill?

Since last week, Parliament in Uganda have been debating the 'Kill The Gays' bill, also known as the “Anti-Homosexuality Bill,” or AHB, which, if signed into law in its current form, mandates the death penalty for anyone convicted of the “crime” of homosexuality, anyone convicted of same-sex rape, anyone who is classified as a “serial offender,” even anyone with HIV.

The bill will most likely get a vote this week in parliament and activist groups in that country are calling on President Yoweri Museveni to veto it.

I hope they don't pass it...it will be too unfair...please God, don't let it happen. Kill another human being because of his sexual preference? Wow!

"My new wife led me to T.B Joshua" - John Fashanu

"One thing I bless Abigail for is that she led me to pastor T.B Joshua. Anybody know that if you are introduced into the synagogue, it's a massive blessing. I come from a country where the impossible is impossible (UK). I'm now in a country where the impossible is possible. (Nigeria). In Africa, there are 53 countries, I've been to 48 countries, I have met 27 heads of state, I have seen it all. So, people are astounded when I say T.B Joshua inspires me. He is a humble man, and because of what he is able to do, and because he taught me about reconciliation of the family. Abigail introduced me and some of my friends to Synagogue about three years ago, when she and I were just acquaintances. T.B Joshua is a great man." - John Fashanu to Wole Alakija and Bunmi Odunowo of City People Magazine

Oh no! Arnold Schwarzenegger and wife announce separation

The Schwarzenegger family
Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife of 25 years, Maria Shriver, announced Monday night that they are separating. The political power couple released a statement saying:
"This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us. After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion and prayer, we came to this decision together. At this time, we are living apart while we work on the future of our relationship.
We are continuing to parent our four children together. They are the light and the center of both of our lives. We consider this a private matter and neither we nor any of our friends or family will have further comment. We ask for compassion and respect from the media and the public."
Wow, definitely didn't see that coming.

Oge Okoye and Muna Ibekwe's hot scene in Blackberry Babes

Someone brought this to my attention and asked me to discuss on my blog. Where should a married actress draw the line in Nollywood? I think acting is acting sha...but what do you think? Is this a bit too much?

Olubukola Adefisayo being released from prison?

Bukola
Y'all remember that mentally ill lady, Olubukola Adefisayo who murdered her mother in 2009? (Read here if you missed it). I saw on TV today that the Nigeria police is considering releasing her from Kirikiri prison where she's been since 2009 (or have they release her already?) after rehabilitating her. The TV station interviewed several of Bukky's former neighbours and they said they were looking forward to receiving her back home. They say she's now a born again Christian.

Does anyone have more info on this, 'cos I only caught the last part of the report.

Watch her talk about how she killed her mom while high on crack cocaine...after the cut...

Say What?? Students want Jega for president in 2015

Lead Image
Joint Campus Committee{JCC} Chairman, Clement Olusegun{M} accompanied by other executives at the press conference
The National Association of Nigerian Students, Zone D gave a pass mark to the Attahiru Jega-led Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the weekend for conducting violence-free and fair elections. According to the students, in view of this record, they have decided to endorse him as the president in 2015 if he shows interest.

The zone, which comprises Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Ondo and Ekiti states, said this at a press conference held in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, via the Joint Campus Committee chairman, Clement Olusegun.

Free and fair election? Somewhat, but then our president is tackling Buhari at the presidential election tribunal for cheating with under-age voters during the elections. Violence-free? So many youth corps members died, and instead of demanding answers, these students are endorsing Jega? Was there ever a press conference by this body addressing what happened to those corpers? Or even one asking for a review of the NYSC? How sad!

Beauty of the day: Lilian Unachukwu

The gorgeous lady who is in her twenties owns and runs the incredibly successful Liam Fashion & Consulting Agency, Nigeria’s first fashion consulting agency. Beauty, brains and ambition = great combination.

It's Don Jazzy again

Don in a recent photo. Wonder what he was looking at...
BTW, Him and his crew, D'Banj and gbo gbo e will be in Malaysia for a show on Thursday May 12th at Sunway Convention Centre, Malaysia.

How come so many of our artists go to Malaysia for shows. Banky W just came back from there last week. Are there that many Nigerians there?

Guess who?

The celeb in her 3D glasses inside the cinema
Guess the celebrity? And when I say celebrity, I mean she's huge...like Genevieve Nnaji celebrity status. World famous huge! Ha ha ha! I bumped into her at the palms yesterday, where she came to watch same movie as me...Thor in 3D. Like me, it was her first time watching any movie in 3D. She told me she doesn't like to pay more than N1, 000 for a movie ticket (yeah, she's cheap) but decided to do it yesterday just for the experience. It's N2, 500 to watch a movie in 3D in Lagos and she came with two other people so you can imagine her annoyance having to pay N7, 500 just to watch a movie. She told me she won't do it again...or at least whenever she wants to do it, she will either go alone or get someone else to pay for it.

So, who is this cheap ass celeb? And no, it's not me. For one, I'm not a celeb and two, I might be cheap, but not this cheap...:-)

Ankara shoes...

Someone brought some to my place recently and I couldn't bring myself to buy any. I'm still on the fence on these shoes. I mean, I think they are cute n all, but what outfit am I going to wear it with? I don't wear traditional outfits...abi can I wear these with a regular dress? I don't know, it just seems like too much work.
Thoughts?

Denrele Edun robbed in Lagos traffic

He was on his way to Jay Jay Okocha's Club 10 with friends for May7ven's birthday party when he was robbed at gunpoint in stand still traffic around Anthony area on Friday night at bout 9pm. The four armed robbers jumped into their car, took their phones, money, and other valuable goods they found on them.

This is why I hate driving at night in Lagos...I've been harassed so many times in traffic by area boys...just nothing as major as this. God protect us all.

RIP Agnes Ezennadozie

The remains of Mrs Ezennadozie being received at the Government House on Thursday by the state governor of Anambra, Peter Obi. Pic: 234next
Agnes Ezennadozie was a pregnant corps member who was posted to serve in Bauchi. During the post-presidential election crisis that engulfed parts of the state, Agnes was dragged out of a police station and badly beaten. She died twelve days later from injuries sustained from that beating.

So we didn't just lose Agnes, we lost her unborn child. These animals would beat a pregnant woman?
I ask again, are these people going to die in vain?
