THE WAR IN UGANDA.

Some of you might find this pictures offensive. I'm sorry about that. But I think we all need to know what's happening in other parts of the world. We all need to know how our fellow human beings live like animals. While we are thinking of how to get that new ride, new home, new clothes, these people are thinking of how to survive from day to day. Thinking of when their next meal will arrive, wondering if and when they'll see their families again. And hoping for a better tomorrow. Below are some pictures from war torn Uganda.

I usually don't like to load up sad things but I believe some of us need to wake up and start counting our blessings. And what better way to do it than to see how other people live?

There's been a civil unrest in Uganda since 1979, after dictator India Amin left power. It's sad to see people live this way, right?

From today onwards, count your blessings instead of counting the little things you don't have. Trust me, millions of people in war torn countries will trade places with you anyday. You are lucky. Always remember that.

JAY Z TO SELL ROCAWEAR.

Jay-Z has entered into a deal to sell his successful clothing company Rocawear.
The best part? He's set to receive $204 million in CASH for it!!!!!

The hip hop mogul will be selling his apparel line to the Iconix Brand Group, a company that licenses and markets such popular brands as Candies, Joe Boxer, Mudd, London Fog, Ocean Pacific and others.

And, Jay is set to make even more money if Rocawear continues to perform well.

The deal, which was announced Tuesday March 6th, could also net Jay-Z $35 million in Iconix stock, if the Rocawear brand meets certain performance requirements over the next three-five years.

Jay-Z will still also stay on board as figurehead of the company and he will continue to be in charge of all product development, marketing and licensing for Rocawear, which boasts annual retail sales of over $700 million.

And, Beyonce's man has also signed a new deal with Iconix to launch a new luxury brand, The Shawn Carter Collection, which is due in stores in 2008.

Some people don't know how lucky they are. Good luck to Jay!!!

The only thing I love more than writing is watching movies. Or maybe I love watching movies more than writing...maybe I love both equally! Anyway, I've seen more movies than most people my age. ANNA NICOLE SMITH BURIED AT LAST!

Anna Nicole Smith dressed in a designer gown, her coffin covered in a pink rhinestone-studded blanket was buried in an extravagant funeral this past weekend.

The reality TV star was mourned at a lavish memorial service on Friday, with her companion Howard K. Stern, her mother Virgie Arthur and her former boyfriend Larry Birkhead all battling for custody of her 5-month-old Dannielynn in attendance.

Arthur, Birkhead and Stern took turns eulogizing the 39-year-old Smith, who died last month in a Florida hotel.

She was buried beside her son's grave in the Bahamas on Friday, 2nd March 2007. May her soul rest in perfect peace. Amen

KOLAWOLE OLAWUYI IS DEAD!

How many of you know Kolawole Olawuyi? The man behind the very popular Yoruba programme Nnkan be (strange things are happening)? He was the producer and presenter of the programme that exposed mysterious, strange and bizarre happenings all over Nigeria. He also was a radio presenter at Radio Nigeria. He passed-on on Saturday March 3rd 2007 after a brief illness.

May his beautiful, gentle soul rest in perfect peace, Amen.

TYRA BANKS LOOKING HOT HOT HOT! AND OLD!!

Tyra Banks is still hot, no doubt about it. But she's begiining to look older than her age. Could it be the weight she's added or the weave? Maybe she should loose the weave and concentrate on darker, smother, straighter weaves? I don't know. What do you guys think?

OBASANJO TURNS 70! HURRAY!!!

Our President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo turned 70years old yesterday, Monday, March 5th 2007. I thought he turned 70 three years ago? I must have thought wrong.

The Nigerian Television Authority threw a birthday party for him in Lagos. He wasn't present at the party, instead, he was in Ghana celebrating with the Ghanians who also threw him a party. Good for him!

Happy birthday to the father of our nation. May more years to come.

BEYONCE'S PUBIC HAIR IN DISPLAY!

I don't like seeing beyonce like this. Her Stylist/Costumier should prevent such fashion disaster from happening to her. That short wasn't tight enough and nobody could advise her to always wear panties when going on stage. Hope this never happens again. But she's still a diva to me.

What do you think about the pubic...I mean that picture? Send me your thoughts.

USHER SET TO WED 38YEAR OLD MOTHER OF THREE!

Usher, 28 and 38year fiancee, Tameka Foster

Usher and ex, Rozanda Thomas

Usher and ex-model girlfriend, Eishia Brightwell

Usher and Tameka Foster

Usher and new girlfriend, who was his ex stylist for a long long time are now engaged. Rumour has it that Usher proposed to the almost 40 years old Tameka Foster, who left her husband to be with Usher. Did I also mention that this woman has three kids? If Usher is really engaged and is planning to marry her, he needs to get his head examined.I mean if you are going to settle down as he says he plans to do soon, why not settle with a hot top model with no kids. I was complaining about his relationship with Chilli of TLC, who was almost ten years older than him. But a divorced mother of three? Pls where is Chilli? Heck, he did a lot better with her. At least she only had a kid!
Usher and Tameka have been an item for a year. They first met back in 2004 when Foster, who has previously worked with such music stars as Toni Braxton and Lauryn Hill, joined Usher as a stylist on his Truth tour supporting his last multi-platinum album, Confessions.
I hear Usher's mum and manager, Jonetta Patton, isn't happy with the news. I don't blame her. The woman is almost as old as her. Usher's mum is really "flipping out" over the union, and ironically, Jonetta had previously fired Foster because "she didn't think she was dressing Usher according to the caliber of star he was." But Usher re-employed her.
If they get married, it will be Usher's first marriage and the second go-round for Foster, who was previously married to Ryan Glover, the cofounder of Atlanta-based Noontime Music.
What the hell is wrong with the young sexy women in America? Why allow a 38year old nail one of the world's most eligible bachelors? This is so not fair!
I hope Usher's mum stops this wedding. He deserves better. Maybe she has a good heart, fine!!! But there are millions of women with good hearts...and a fiiiine, young body to go with it. I hope he finds that woman. Tameka should date men her own age. Right ladies? Right!!!!!!

RUGGEDMAN LAUNCHES NEW ALBUM

My very dear friend Ruggedman, on Saturday 3rd March, launched his new album at the Vault Nite Club, on Victoria Island, Lagos. I was invited but I couldn't go 'cos I had this terrible toothache. You guys know that toothache pain is one of the worse physical pain anyone can go through. Let's hope childbirth is not as painful.
Anyway, my younger sister Laura was there and told me the party was off the hook. According to her, those who performed were:
Eedris Abdulkareem (who performed on stage with Rugged. Strange huh?), Paulplay, Jazzman, P.Square, Wierd MC, Freestyle, Obiwon, Rasquie, Nedo, OJB and one Azuka all the way from Ghana.
The MC of the event was ace comedian Gbenga Adeyinka. Other comedians that came to support Rugged on his big day were: Koffi, Owen G and Abbagana, who all performed.
She said the club was packed full of people who came to watch their favourite rap artiste dish out songs from his new album. And of course, there were other celebrities who graced the occasion. African China, Sunny Neji, Sound Sultan, Ayo Shonaya and Ronke Apampa of Ben TV UK, were all there.
I also heard the gatefee was 2,000 thousand naira and everyone who bought a ticket got a gift pack courtesy of Rugged's Record Label, Now Music, owned by Efe Omorege. Inside the pack was Rugged's T.shirts, his new c.d's, his posters and his 2007 calendar. That day was incidentally Efe's birthday. Happy birthday to you Efe!
Now, what I don't understand is this new trend of asking people to pay a gate fee for an Album launch. What kind of craziness is that? So many other artistes have done this in the past and I still don't understand why no one has told this people that's not the way it's done. A launch should be strictly by invitation. Tickets are for concerts, comedy, fashion and music shows. Hello? What's wrong with these people? When you put a price tag on something as important as an Album Release, you will end up having minimal crowd because not too many people want to pay to listen to songs that they've never heard before. No? Maybe it's just me. Do you guys agree with me?
Anyway, congrats to Ruggedman. You guys should rush off to the stores and buy his new album. I already have a c.d. I'm not particularly a 'rap' person but Ruggeddibaba had me rapping-along to his tracks. It's a good buy. Check it out and let me know which track you loved most.

AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL WINNERS!

ANTM cycle 1 winner: Adrianne Curry (2003)

ANTM cycle 2 winner: Yoanna House (2004)

ANTM cycle 3 winner: Eva Pigford (2004)

ANTM cycle 4 winner: Naima Mora

ANTM cycle 5 winner: Nicole Linkletter

ANTM cycle 6 winner: Danielle Evans (2006)

ANTM cycle 7 winner: Caridee English (2006)

Of all the winners of America's Next Top Model, who do you think deserved it the most? I'll go for cycle 3 winner Eva Pigford. She has striking features, a lovely physique and a very unique look. How many of you remember her in Jamie Foxx's music video 'DJ play her a love song'? Yeah, she was that very sexy vixen in that steamy video, kissing and touching Jamie all over. I also hear her modeling career is doing great. Later, I'll investigate these girls and tell you all how far they've gone in their careers since winning ANTM.

BRITTANY OF AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL

In cycle 4 of America's Next top model, won by Naima Mora, there was a particular girl I was rooting for. I thought she was going to win. To me, she beat every other girl in that competition hands down. Her name is Brittany. She was the eleventh girl elimated from the show. Trust me when I tell that this girl deserved to win. She photographs well, she knows how to pose, she had the best shape and she was the tallest, standing at 5'11', but the best part of her was her personality. She is very out-going, fun to be with, never bitched at any of the other contestants, never got into a fight, always laughing, making jokes, she was easy to work with, very creative and always made everyone feel special. she should have won sha!! Check out some of her pictures taken from ANTM's photo shoot.

I hear she's now being represented by NEXT Model Management. I have absolutely no doubt that she'll go far in modeling. You don't have to win a competition to get to the top. All you need is to believe in yourself and never give up.

AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL!

How many of you are ardent watchers of America's Next Top Model created by Tyra Banks? I'm not proud to say that I never saw an episode of the show until this past weekend. I'm a model, I'm supposed to go to any lenght to see what the show is all about but I never did. Bad huh? Anyways, I saw it for the very first time this weekened and I fell madly inlove with it and I went out to go get me all the tapes of previous editions. I heard this show is very big in America, one of UPN's highest rated shows and is No 2 on the list of most watched reality TV shows in America. Rightly so!

For those of you who don't know what the show is all about, here's a little peak into it.

Each season of America's Next Top Model has from ten to fourteen episodes and starts with ten to fourteen contestants. Generally, one contestant is eliminated per episode (though there have been cases of a double elimination or no elimination) by consensus of the judging panel. Makeovers are administered to contestants early in the season (usually after the first elimination in finals), and a trip to an international destination is scheduled at about two-thirds' way through the season.

Each episode of Top Model, covering the events of roughly a week of real time, features a fashion challenge, photo shoot or commercial, judging, and critique of each contestant and her performance by the panel led by Tyra Banks.
The final segment of each episode is judging. During judging, contestants are often given a challenge in some area such as posing, selling a product, runway walking, or choosing a representative outfit or make-up look to satisfy a given prompt. Then each contestant's photo is shown and evaluated by the judging panel. After all photos have been evaluated, the contestants leave the room as the judges deliberate. The elimination process is ceremonious, as Tyra reveals and hands out the photos of the contestants that have not been eliminated one-by-one, each time saying, "You are still in the running towards becoming America's Next Top Model." The last two contestants who have not received their photos are brought up as "the bottom two," and Tyra critiques each one before revealing which of the two has been eliminated. This goes on until there's only two contestants left.

The final two then compete in a runway show in front of the judges, and both their performance there and during the entire competition is considered when the judges declare a winner.

Trivia's about the show you might want to know
