End-of-year LIB Giveaway continues! Win 2 Blackberry Passports

I told y'all I will be giving away 10 Blackberry Passports courtesy Blackberry Nigeria. The phones are already in my possession...and they are worth about N150k each. I will be giving away 2 phones everyday from today Dec 15th to Friday Dec. 19th. But to win this is a little different from the random selection I do with the money giveaway. You have to work a little harder to win this...:-)

To win a phone, write a short note on what you like about Blackberry on the comment section. The guys at Blackberry Nigeria will review entries and send names of winners to me. If you win, you will meet me this weekend to collect your phone. If you don't live in Lagos, we will find a way to send the phone to you. Good luck guys...

The main reason i like blackberry is because with just only 1000naira, you can enjoy using all social networks esp BBM and the internet for so much less. Even a brokest individual in the world can afford to interact and acheive alot because blackberry makes it easier. I never get bored with my blackberry Lol, All this project that people are writing.. You keep talking about light indicator and its keyboard, bla bla bla which every other phone has.

Until recently, I have always had a BlackBerry phone since 2010 when I started working. I started with the BlackBerry curve. Unfortunately, my last BlackBerry, the Torch 1 gave up on me and I haven't been able to replace it since I am still saving up for the best. Imagine my delight when I saw this giveaway on LIB, it was a dream come true.
Now, back to the matter, "What I like about BlackBerry". I will make it as simple as possible.
1) Best push email technology.
2) Elegant qwerty key board for faster typing and accuracy.
3) Best Data management.
4) Best battery management.
5) Very Unique. The android which I own presently seems to be a copycat.
6) I hear the OS7 and above makes browsing a better experience.
7) Best camera. My Torch 1 was a 5.0MP but the picture quality was to die for. I cant even begin to imagine what the passport picture quality will be like.
8) As a business oriented lady, the BlackBerry from experience is the best option.
9) If given the opportunity to upgrade, it has to always be a BlackBerry anytime, any day. I trust that they are equal to the task.
10) I am in awe of the specifications of the passport, owning one will surely give me the boost and confidence needed to succeed in my place of work and my small business.
In summary, BlackBerry rocks my world. Thumbs up to BlackBerry and thanks for this wonderful opportunity.

There are things about BlackBerry that simply doesn’t let its hard core fans and users like me down,When it comes to technology, Android and iOS devices are at the top of the food chain. So, does that mean BlackBerry is being completely outclassed OR out of the limelight definitely not infact blantantly NEVER!!
Permit me to outlist the reasons i like my BB Gadgets in formal details...
1). Great Keyboards – BlackBerry keyboards are pretty flexible and of great help for fast texting without errors. The keyboards feel way better than touch type. It’s like, you can carry grocery in one hand and text on the other, Amazing huh?
2). Variety in Styles – Frankly speaking, one gets bored of the same old block style. Be it the Samsung Galaxy S5 or the iPhone 5, it’s the same style. With BlackBerry however, you have several unique form factors to choose from – Full QWERTY (Bold/Curve), QWERTY Slider (Torch 9800/9810), Full Touchscreen (Torch 9850/9860 and Z3/Z10), Suretype (Pearl 3G) and QWERTY Flip (Pearl Flip). A style for everyone, all exclusively from BB smart world of possibilities..
3). Can Be Used Anywhere – An unlocked BlackBerry can be used on almost any carrier around the world, so you are not limited to a few specific carriers.
4). Easy Charging – All new BlackBerry phones use a standardize Micro-USB connector for charging and synchronization both for extracting files and sending...
5). International Roaming – Because BlackBerry supports international carriers, international roaming is not an issue. However, am careful with this as the roaming charges from my carrier might be a little challenging.
6). Unlimited Wi-Fi Calling – If the BlackBerry runs on T-Mobile USA, it offers unlimited Wi-Fi calling from any corner of the world. WOW!!!! Thought you would shout this one out.......
7). Expandable Memory – Fit in as many gigabytes as you want! With flexible memory card options, you don’t have to be limited to phone sets that have a set amount of internal memory.
8). Smooth Multitasking – Oh yes. You can browse and answer messages at the same time. Multi-tasking is smooth and flexible in the Blackberry.yummmy right?
9). BlackBerry Messenger – Before WhatsApp, Viber, and all the other new messaging applications arrived the BlackBerry Messenger was king. Many of its features were copied by its competitors and it is still the most secured messaging app on the market. Best of all, it’s FREE!!!
10. Security – There is no debating this one. BlackBerry makes the highest secured mobile phones in the world. There is a reason why the White House uses them and does not allow the President to switch even though he insist on ditching his Blackberry. Am sure most of us dont know this one LOL
11. Email – Simply put, none of BlackBerry’s competitors have been able to match the effectiveness of Blackberry’s distinguished email system.
14. Relatively Inexpensive – The latest BlackBerry can be purchased for at a a very low affordable price tagged from the company’s website. This is at incomparably cheaper than even the least expensive iPhone 5s or Galaxy S4 or Note.
15. Battery Life – Even though battery life differs with each specific BlackBerry phone, in general the average battery life of a BlackBerry cell phone is superior to that of its rivals.
16. Screen Share – Don’t limit yourself to calling and texting. Share your screen with anyone you wish through the BBM app.
17.BBM Social – If you are a developer, the BBM Social Platform API will provide you with access to the social features and functionality of the BlackBerry Messenger, all from within your app.
18.Peek-a-Boo – Newer BlackBerry smartphones allow you to sneak a peek at your latest notifications and messages without the need to switch or exit the current app you are using.

I am a systems administrator. I receive and send over 25 emails every day. My whole job description runs around it and it’s not an easy task. But I configured my official email on my Blackberry Z10 and since then, sending and receiving emails is just as easy as an SMS.

I love my Z10 but the screen is cracked now.I might need a replacement (passport) lol.

Uche is my name and I am currently using BB Bold 5. If I begin to describe all the benefits I derive from using my device; the whole of Linda Ikeji’s blog wont contain all my write ups… lol. Actually, Blackberry is outstanding as far as internet connection is concerned. I started using blackberry device in 2010, and ever since then, I don’t think I’ll EVER use any other phone apart from blackberry. I derive lots of benefits from using my lovely device. Friends, if you are not on blackberry world, hmmmm… I pity you oo… You dey miss plenty plenty things wey other phone no fit offer u. My internet connection is the bomb, I’m always online without any worry of running out of MB. The color display fantastic, my camera coupled with it’s geo tagging is awesome, talking about the battery life; my goodness, the battery last longer than expected. Infact everything about my Blackberry is unique. If there is anything like Blackberry TV or radio, I will buy it ooo… I guess I’ll have to take a pause here. ***Smiles***

My first Blackberry phone was BB 9700. I love Blackberry products for the freedom I get in moving my files and media to and fro from the device. I like the fact that I can connect my devices through a micro-HDMI cable to my big screen. I love the ability to have expansion memory in the form of a micro SD card for my files that I can remove at any time and insert into another device. My emails are fast at a speed of sound. The keyboards, security, apps are simply the best to use. And the BBM, what more can I say ' WE STAY CONNECTED ALL DAY AND NIGHT. BlackBerry rocks!!

Unknown said...

I love Blackberry because it is BLACKBERRY! Its different from any other phone you can think of. It has exclusive rights to BBM and when i mean exclusive, i mean it literally!!! All other phones that have BBM cannot be compared to that of a Blackberry.
So, i would be glad if blackberry can make me a winner of one of these blackberry passport as i cannot afford this top notch kind of blackberry at the moment.
Thank you.

Just over a year ago I published three reasons I wouldn’t switch
my BlackBerry for an iPhone: the red indicator light, the physical
keyboard and BBM.
The first two reasons still remain true for me today. As for BBM, my
contact list was dwindling even back in December 2011 when I first wrote
about my BlackBerry loyalty. Now it’s down to one regular contact. Plus,
I can chat with any of my Android and iPhone friends via WhatsApp so
BBM has become less important.
But that red indicator light? I love it as much as I ever have. I noted in my
last post that iPhones don’t have a tiny little light that flashes when
there’s a new message or alert. That’s still the case. And as one recent
Blackberry to iPhone convert put it, “That’s what I miss most about my
BlackBerry. Now I have to turn my phone on to check if I have new
messages.”
(I should note I’ve seen indicator lights on Androids including the
Samsung Galaxy which has an app that allows you to pick different color
indicator lights for different types of alerts. One color for email and
another for text, for example. Pretty cool.)
My physical keyboard is still a dealbreaker. I won’t give up on it and
neither have other loyal BlackBerry fans. I’ve still never lost a typing race
to my iPhone or Android friends, and typo free might I add. I have not met
a single person who says they prefer touchscreen keyboards over the
physical one I have.
So when BlackBerry, formerly known as Research In Motion, launched its
new phones last month it was no surprise that the two features. I love the. Most are still intact..so much love my blackberry...frm Marietha. Onyexstyle@yahoo.com

BlackBerry is such a wonderful phone. I can remember the very first day I got my Bold 2, I couldn't sleep through out the night. The BlackBerry application on its own is everything. It helps me stay in touch with my family and friends without spending much on recharge cards. I got a job with the help of my BlackBerry device. I love it for its web-browsing, email messaging and the multi platform BlackBerry messenger services. Before I had to go to a cyber café to access the Internet. Thanks to Mike Lazaridis for this brilliant idea. God bless him, his team and the BlackBerry company everywhere.

BlackBerry is a company that is relentless in her quest for making sophisticated, ergonomic phones. When it appears she has been beaten down, that's when she delivers to the world phones that are awesome and true trailblazers. BlackBerry Q10 for example, is known for its multitasking ability, keeping you in your hub while you attend to other pressing phone needs; its keyboard is unbeatable in typing speed and it's sleek to handle. Keep coming stronger, BlackBerry! experiencelyn@yahoo.com (Linda O.)

The world may have gone bonkers with the introduction
of the iPhone back in 2007 and later on by the influx of
Android devices to hit the market, but the good old
BlackBerry still has its charm. Even though it continues to
lose market share to its competitors, there is something
about BlackBerry that simply doesn’t let its hard core fans
down.
When it comes to technology, Android and iOS devices
are at the top of the food chain. So, does that mean
BlackBerry is being completely outclassed by its
competitors? Absolutely not! And here are 27 reasons
why:
1). Great Keyboards – BlackBerry keyboards are
pretty flexible and of great help for fast texting without
errors. The keyboards feel way better than touch type. It’s
like, you can carry grocery in one hand and text on the
other!! Not so easy with touchies eh?
2). Variety in Styles – Frankly speaking, one gets
bored of the same old block style. Be it the Samsung
Galaxy S5 or the iPhone 5, it’s the same style. With
BlackBerry however, you have several unique form
factors to choose from – Full QWERTY (Bold/Curve),
QWERTY Slider (Torch 9800/9810), Full Touchscreen
(Torch 9850/9860 and Z3/Z10), Suretype (Pearl 3G) and
QWERTY Flip (Pearl Flip). A style for everyone.
3). Can Be Used Anywhere – An unlocked
BlackBerry can be used on almost any carrier around the
world, so you are not limited to a few specific carriers.
4). Easy Charging – All new BlackBerry phones use a
standardize Micro-USB connector for charging and
synchronization.
5). International Roaming – Because BlackBerry
supports international carriers, international roaming is
not an issue. However, be careful with this as the roaming
charges from your carrier might be a little outrageous.
6). Unlimited Wi-Fi Calling – If the BlackBerry runs
on T-Mobile USA, it offers unlimited Wi-Fi calling from
any corner of the world.
7). Expandable Memory – Fit in as many gigabytes as
you want! With flexible memory card options, you don’t
have to be limited to phone sets that have a set amount of
internal memory.
8). Smooth Multitasking – Oh yes. You can browse
and answer messages at the same time. Multi-tasking is
smooth and flexible in the Blackberry.
9). BlackBerry Messenger – Before WhatsApp,
Viber, and all the other new messaging applications
arrived the BlackBerry Messenger was king. Many of its
features were copied by its competitors and it is still the
most secured messaging app on the market. Best of all,
it’s FREE!!!

Here's my short list of what I like about blackberry:

The hub - all notifications, emails, text, etc in one place
The gestures and multitasking - getting to the hub is a quick gesture. Great multitasking by just swiping up.
Active Frames - mini widgets which are made by minimizing the app
Time Shift - Records a small fragment and allows you pick the best frame along with face editing.
Keyboard - Possibly the best virtual keyboard. BlackBerry has added heat sensors for precise thumbing and great predictions and auto correct
Remember App - Powerful note, memo, voice, organization, and lists app with deep integration with the OS
Security - You can deny permissions in native apps and the apps still can function. Android run time is sandboxed. Work and Personal spaces separated if you have BES.
Android compatibility - In 10.2.1 leak, you can download and install most apk files.
Native File Manager - A small app that comes preloaded. In iOS and Android, you need to download a 3rd party app.
Native Picture Editor - Another preloaded app which you can edit your pictures quickly.
Browser - the Browser has one of the highest Html5 scores on a mobile OS. It is fast and has flash

Hello Linda,

The feature I have always cherished about the Blackberry is its seamless integration with my email and social network accounts. I hardly miss any information and it comes fast and on time.

The carefully crafted QWERTY keyboard is something to write home about; for when I'm in a rush, with my Q10, I'm ensured that I enter details correctly without mistakes.

And then the new Blackberry OS, BB10, is so far the best OS. I have used Android and iOS and they are cool but the BB10 is perfect for what I need it for - ABC: A Business Companion.

BB Passport would guarantee a much more better experience.
Larger Screen, Longer Lasting Battery, Better OS (10.3).

Thank you Blackberry.

I would be speaking from a fashion lovers point of view, being able to show off the latest new 'IN' blackberry is as important to my overall fashion image as an item of designer clothing. This may be a bit cliché but permit me to say that "Gadgets are steadily becoming the new black".
I like to see myself as a new breed of “style conscious consumer” who puts her Gadgets over Gucci when it comes to looking good. why? The style and appearance' of my gadgets is critical to my overall look.
So what do I look for in these devices?
- Reasonable cost.
- Multifunctional i.e. keeps track of my daily tasks from meeting up with my hair dressers to pedicure appointments
- Keeps me connected to what’s important, with effortless online shopping these days it’s quite easy to have misplaced priorities ;-D
- One that makes a fashion statement
Elegance is rare enough to be an archeological find and as such enjoys periodic revivals, some gadgets allow us to have a bit of this just by owning them as nothing says I Love Fashion like a style statement gadget that screams elegance and sophistication.
This may seem like a pretty easy list but with all the major gadget manufacturing companies, it’s quite a tough choice we need to make, and even depend on but alas it is a realistic necessary expense.
The only company in my opinion that has come even remotely close to meeting all these needs and even more is the blackberry, I should know because I am a huge fan from the curve series to the latest they have not disappointed. I would love to get the blackberry passport because I’m sure no other customer can pull it off like I can, just kidding. But still….

the revolution of social media for mobile hand-held devices can not be written completely without the input of RIM (blackberry), the convenience of its data plan and usage still remains the best around despite releasing some of its exclusive features to other mobile phone producers.. yes like everything, history has shown that its design and features have always been ahead of its time and peers. and like this time, with its unique design and features, a passport is an identity, a document handler, a social status all coinned into 1 phone... how i would love to have this #bbpassport!!!

The experimental design comes as BlackBerry continues to seek a form factor to pair its well-designed physical keyboards with a large screen. Current generation devices, such as the Q10 and Q5, have screens which are limited to 3ins in size and while the Z10 has a 4in+ display, it is touch-only.

Think of the BlackBerry Passport as a phablet with a physical Qwerty keyboard.

So what can we expect in terms of specifications?

Display

The Passport is set to include a 4.5in screen with a 1440 x 1440 resolution. This helps to give it a mammoth pixel density of 453ppi. To put this in context, it should be sharper than existing flagship devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S5 (432ppi) and the Apple iPhone 5s (326ppi).

It also sports Gorilla Glass to offer users better protection.

The most interesting feature is the square screen - which gives the device its unique look. This means users will no longer have to switch between portrait and landscape modes. This is crucial when you take into account the physical keyboard.

BlackBerry claims the Passport's screen size will make it ideal for looking at everything from schematics to x-rays, word documents and spreadsheets. Of course it's also going to make the handset ideal for web-browsing.

Presently I use a blackberry Z10 and I'm loving it. I like blackberry cos unlike what I thought, it's easy to use, even with zero computer skills and zero keyboard typing skills one tends to be effective with it in couple of hours. Secondly, I can access my email away from computer even with almost a higher communication speed.Thirdly, with my BlackBerry pin, I send sms in form of conversation even with zero kobo on my account balance so long as I'm on subscription unlike the regular sms.Lastly, my BlackBerry has virtually every chat applications thereby making it easier to connect with my friends via any chat app they are registered to. I just love my BlackBerry!

I have used a blackberry phone from the year 2010, till my present one in 2014. I sarted with a curve2, and i recall the hype at the time. Even at that time, a bb curve2 was a staus phone, then i moved to a bold 2, bold 4, BB touch, Bold 6, bold 5 and now a q10.

Please find below the distictive features of Blackberry in my opinion.

1) First thing i fancied about the blackberry is the convenience it accorded me in accessing my email, social networks and the exclusive bbm chat. Infact brought and kept my contacts close. As they upgraded, it even got better.
2)The Bb10, works very well with the iphone, andriod etc, and you can multi-taks easily. I love that i can switch applications and do a lot at the same time.
3)I also like how it displays incoming messages, emails or chats on the home screen or on the current page without making me open them and how i can reply without opening them still.
4)I love the way it arranges all the activities on the phone on something called the "blackberry hub", so all i need to do is swipe to the left to view my emails, bbm chats, whatsap chats, facebook activities, twitter activities etc.
5)Blackberry phones generally have good and fast internet connections whether you are using a wifi or you are using a mobile network, and the best part is how cheap it is. With 1k or 1k5, i have full access to the internet to browse and access all my social networks as well as chat, ping and receive emails. That is just too good.
6)Did i forget to mention that even in lock screen mood, you can view your activities on your phone? ok i just mentioned that.
7)The storage capacity for blackberry phones is usually large enough to contain alot of data. Bold5 had a storage capacity of 8gb, but the bb10 series even got better by making a double of the figure which gives you 16gbs. This is excluding the SDcard or memory card o.
8)You can find your lost or missing bb fone with a software called "blackberry protect" wow!
9)Blackberry phones run smoothly. You can open different apps and games at a time and multi-task, it doesnt affect the smooth running of the phone. And the newer models rarely even freeze.
10)lastly, when you upgrade to a newer model, you can still go with all your contacts: email, bbm etc. As soon as you sign in with your blackberry id, you get everything back. So with a blacberry phone, your contacts are safe!Nothing gets losts.

I have never been tired of a blackberry phone and never will be.|teambb

I love BlackBerry® because its a very unique phone that is different from other phones, it allows you to manage your email,
contacts, calendar and other BlackBerry 10 features
through voice and text commands. It helps you to
execute tasks quickly such as responding to important
emails, scheduling a meeting or getting directions.
BlackBerry Assistant is intelligent enough to respond to
you based on your situation. Speak freely to it and it
will respond in kind. Type a query and it will respond
simply with information on the screen. When you’re
connected to Bluetooth in the car, it knows you can’t
look at the screen and will interact with you completely
eyes and hands free. Onwualorchiamaka@yahoo.com

There are 4 major features i like in a Blackberry Device.

* PHYSICAL KEYBOARD: RIM gives the opportunity to choose between smartphones with physical keyboard and onscreen keyboard. which makes it possible to cover variety of prferences.

* UNIQUE ID: Blackberry Phones all have unique identification for all smartphones produced known as the PIN. which enhances social networking and ease of communication.

* EMAIL SERVER: The email server that the blackberry uses help enhance prompt and effective email service.

* SPEED: Initially blackberry experienced issues with its speed and always hanging, but with the development of the OS 10 the speed of its operation has increased and there are no hanging experience.

In all BlackBerry phones are compareble to any other smartphone with the best of technologie.

Obioraa1@gmail.com.

I like blackberry because of blackberry protect functions, which can help you recover your lost blackberry.
I like blackberry because each blackberry messanger has a pin which is unique and is not subject to change unless you change the bb phone .unlike the bbm of other androids which their pins can b changed when their bbm application has a problem .
I like blackberry because of its unique nature . veno.brightheart@ymail.com

I like BlackBerry in so many ways.

The BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) allows you to share things with people you care about in an instant.

The iconic qwerty keyboard lets you type faster and more accurately.

The BlackBerry Hub lets you manage all your conversations, whether personal or work e-mail, BBM messages, social media updates or notifications in one single place

With the BlackBerry Flow, features and apps flow seamlessly so you can complete the task at hand effortlessly and efficiently.

You can easily connect your BlackBerry Z10 to your LCD TV with a micro HDMI cable.

The BlackBerry Safeguard technology helps protect what’s important to you and the business you work for.

The list is endless. This is just a short note as instructed by Linda.

I have also noticed that the subscription of blackberry phone is cheaper when compare to when one have the pin of other phones like Techno, Samsung, Nokia phone, etc. People with other kind or brand of phones tend more on subscription than blackberry phone, thinking having the pin number is the same as having blackberry phone. Having BlackBerry product has kind of prestige over other products

Okay Blackberry has been in the T&T market for 8 years and possess approximately 41% market share. Blackberry’s regional director Sean Killen recognised that they had a great customer base in the T&T market and couldn’t give customers what they needed and he said “loyal customers deserve the latest technology and hardware, the most modern and innovative navigation systems in a Smartphone. WiFi Calling – Blackberry now has the wifi calling feature in which you can call people from your BBM contact list free of charge. This allows users to save minutes and prevents them from going over month after month. This gives customers the incentive to purchase the BlackBerry. The BlackBerry keyboard – many people stay on their BlackBerry for one simple reason, the keyboard. This remains the easiest, fastest keyboard to use for email and text users and especially BBM.
BBM Chat – this is one feature that BlackBerry is famous for. This puts the BlackBerry in a unique position because so many customers choose the BlackBerry because this is a free way of communicating. This is actually more popular than WhatApp.

I’ve seen previews of BB10 and followed news about it closely. The phone has a web browser that keeps up with the competition, voice control and thousands of apps. And the functionality I fell in love with gets even better. The BlackBerry “Hub” is always accessible and puts all my messages in one convenient place. The BlackBerry “Flow” experience is entirely built on gestures, meaning that task-switching is super fast and done with a single finger.

I believe BlackBerry 10 is still going to be the gold standard when it comes to productivity and communication on the go. And for me, it brings back the cool. When I meet up with the guys, I look forward to being proud to throw my BlackBerry on the table.

BlackBerry phones r uniquely wrapped up with its secure messaging and management products. most especially the BLACKBERRY PASSPORT the phone format is square, like a monitor, and now panoramic, like a movie screen. The frame is stainless steel, focused on strength, not aluminum, which is focused on weight and low cost.

. It is designed to be secure, which makes it a little harder to get into but far safer in use.

finally , i compare my blackberry to that person you met in school that you should have married because, while they weren’t the most attractive or popular, they were attractive enough and they always had your back.

If it's not blackberry it can never be blackberry, the red light indicator keeps me alert of all messages, this is one unique stuff other phones don't have, the bbm is great, because I get to keep in touch with people especially when I can't call, the subscription is a cheap one compared to the android phones,I browse all day with no worries that my data would get exhausted,i do most of my assignments with it ,the physical keyboard is great it makes me feel like am using a laptop when am not,the phone is very strong and durable even when it falls to the ground and i pick it up it works just perfect, the camera is very clear.BlackBerry is superb iphones, nokia, htc and others can't be compared to it,I will forever be a user of the great BLACKBERRY PHONE,blackberry you rule the world,it's just like my office I swear, you da bomb, the best, unique, the phone is way too handy and fine lol can't wait to rock this blackberry passport am gonna show it to the world yesssss!BLACKBERRY FAN FOR LIFE EVEN IF AM AT GUN POINT!! Michojo11@gmail.com.......08152487227... Read on to find out what makes a BlackBerry phone special.

1. Push Technology at Its Finest
I know push email can also be done with other smartphones. You just have to synchronize your phone with your Gmail or Yahoo account and you're good to go. You can start receiving new email notifications once these messages arrive on you your email inbox. But a BlackBerry phone does this so well and at a very low-cost due to data compression.
2. The BlackBerry Messenger (BBM)
The BlackBerry Messenger or BBM is the heart of a BlackBerry phone’s communication features. It's not as fancy as MMS or SMS on your regular smartphone, but BBM chat facility is fast, simple, and connects you to your BlackBerry buddies all the time. The PIN-based communication settings are pretty cool as well. Although there's a downside to it - that is, BBM is pretty useless if you don't know anybody else who is using a BlackBerry phone. This is what's happening to me right now. Most of the BlackBerry users in my day job are Managers and Directors so I don't think it's advisable to ask for their BlackBerry PINs.
Thanks to online community forums, I found a local group of BBM users who are sharing their PINs, whose members are like me- eager to use the BBM but have no friends to communicate with. And so I found a group- and new friends as well.
3. The Business Side of It
When I got my BlackBerry, I immediately asked my company's IT Support if I could connect my phone to our BlackBerry Enterprise Server so that I could access my Lotus Notes Email account on my phone. After paying for a license, they gave me access to our Enterprise Email Server. And so now, I have no reason not to respond to an important email even when I'm out of the office. That's what you get for being "connected all the time."
Seriously, it's no wonder that the BlackBerry is touted as an enterprise phone. The ease of setting up your company's email account and the idea of getting employees to stay connected 24/7 in a cost-efficient manner is definitely appealing to businesses.
4. Data Compression What?
In relation to reason no. 1, what makes the BlackBerry special is the fact that it compresses your data usage. Bear with me with this short anecdote to illustrate this. When I got my iPhone and Nexus One, I was pretty excited to use their web browsing and internet connectivity features. I didn't mind incurring data charges then and only stopped when my local telco provider sent a notification that I may be incurring too much charges. Indeed I was. So I regulated my web browsing usage through 3G and make it a point to use both my iPhone and Nexus on Wi-Fi only, as much as I could.
It was different when I first got my BlackBerry Bold 9700. I did the same web browsing through 3G activity. I turned on all notification settings. Set up my Gmail and Yahoo Mail accounts with my telco provider's BIS. I also ran Facebook, UberTwitter, and Foursquare on the background the whole day. And after a month with those settings, guess how much my data chargers? It was definitely lower than what I incurred during the first month that I was using my other smartphones.
How is this possible? Well, that's because the BlackBerry phones compresses data usage by as much 40% on a regular smartphone. And that's a big difference.

What I love the most about BlackBerry is that it can be used with an affordable subscription. It is good for business's in terms of prompt receiving and sending of mails and typing made easy / fast with its Qwerty keyboard. OMG, it high picture quality it's just "muah" which can be easily uploaded to my facebook and twitter handle, BBM is the fastest chat app in thw world in which other mobile devices emulate. You won't believe this, I can sleep with my eyes closed in a street filled with pick pockets cos the phone can be easily tracked when stolen due to the permanent pin embedded in it. Above all even though I am not a phone software expert, it user friendly operating systems alerts me the instant there is upgrade available to enable me upgrade my phone myself, with their back up dataa features you can't be afraid of loosing files, I just love BlackBerry and I am a fan because I have used almost all their devices.

Red light: On top of every BlackBerry, there's a little red light and it blinks at you when a new message or call comes in. People get seriously addicted to that light. For me, really, it's my connection to my people and second, it's my connection to the world in terms of news and everything. Of course, other phones have ways of alerting people to new messages too, but none has the same feel as that
BlackBerry light.

Click - Clacking keyboard:
It is just as easy to use as those on a full-size computer keyboard. It is really nice how far the buttons stick up and you can really feel that click. It doesn't feel like you're
making any mistakes no matter how big your fingers
are

Durability:
BlackBerry makes very durable hardware. it is hard to find any other OEM that produces hardware that can be used for more than three generations. Yet, look around and you’ll still find BlackBerry devices from
around 2006, 2007 when they used a trackball for
navigation. Blackberry isnt just a phone. its an attitude.

There is no doubt, th introduction of Iphone and Android phones almost a decade ago have caught my attention especially because of their usefulness. However, my Blackberry still has its indispensable charm.
1. My Blackberry Curve 7 has a pretty, great and flexible keyboard. This enebles for easy and fast typing with minimum errors. I could type with just one hand while using the other to roll a ball of pounded yam, Amazing isn't it?
2. My Blackberry multitasking ability is second to none. It makes for browsing and answering calls silmutaneously.
3. The productivity level of my Blackberry is incredible. The efficiency of the messaging system as well as the fluidity of the Operating System all attest to my claims. I check my mails with ease, ping and my messages are secured. Infact, with my Blackberry device things are done quickly and effectively too. The above qualities of my Blackberry have endeared it to me ahead of other divices.
I simply like the Blackberry Device.

What I like about BlackBerry Smartphone
1. The BlackBerry is the get-things-done phone.
It's not designed to run flashy applications, for playing games or for uploading pictures to Facebook and Twitter. It started out a business-minded device, and RIM has continued to market it as a business-friendly device, although recent ads have pitched it as a leisure phone for young multitasked as well.
Part of the allure is that the BlackBerry is known for being secure. It encrypts messages, which makes business owners more comfortable giving the phones to their employees, who may share sensitive documents and e-mails over the phones.
Business people also say BlackBerrys are just good for productivity.
Partly it's the keyboard. Partly is a range of shortcuts. But this no-frills phone has hooked many people in the business world.
2. That red light
On top of every BlackBerry, there's a little sliver of a red light, and it blinks at you when a new message or call comes in.
People get seriously addicted to that light,
You put a blinking red light on a device, and when that light blinks, you jump, For me, really, it's my connection to my people. And second, it's my connection to the world in terms of news and everything.
It's one of those things that always calls you back to your BlackBerry.
Of course, other phones have ways of alerting people to new messages, too, but none has the same feel as that BlackBerry light.
3. BBM
BlackBerry instant chats, picture sharing, voice calls and as well makes you will stay connected to your friends, family and business contacts anytime and anywhere.
4. BlackBerry Protect
• Automatic Backups
You can use BlackBerry Protect to automatically back up your data daily, weekly, or monthly. When you turn on the automatic backup feature, BlackBerry Protect backs up your data at the specified frequency when your BlackBerry Smartphone is connected to the wireless network and you are not using it currently.
• Protect your Information
If you ever misplace or lose your BlackBerry Smartphone, there are several features offered by BlackBerry Protect to help you protect your information. One setting in particular that’s extremely useful is the ability to display a message on a BlackBerry Smartphone that can include your contact details in case someone finds it.
• Switch BlackBerry Smartphone
BlackBerry Protect makes it easier to switch to a new BlackBerry Smartphone, such as the recently-released BlackBerry Passport Smartphone. All you need to do is perform a backup using BlackBerry Protect on your current phone, followed by logging into BlackBerry Protect on your new BlackBerry Smartphone and selecting the restore data option.

Firstly, I love blackberry phones because of the uniqueness of its brand, appearing with 7 dot-like icons and then BlackBerry(:;:BlackBerry). It’s appearance alone has a perfect representation of a handheld device. My knowledge of blackberry phones shows it’s user interface varies by model; Curve9360,Curve8520,Bold9900,9930,9000,9700,Torch9850,9860,9810 and a more recent Z10,Q10 and BlackBerry Passport. Most BlackBerry phones have a physical QWERTY Keyboard while newer generations like Z10 & Q10 have multi-touch screen and a virtual keyboard. That I love so much. Again, these newer generation BlackBerry phones with touch screens can be pressed with ones bare finger(either index, thumb or any of the fingers)
Another uniqueness of BlackBerry devices which I love are its ability to record video, take photos, play music and also provide functions such as web-browsing, email messaging, instant messaging, and the multi-platform BlackBerry Messenger service which is second to none when you talk about instant messaging.
It will be good to note that BlackBerry’s uniqueness encapsulates possession of a unique ID called a BlackBerry PIN, which is used to identify the device to the BES. This can also act as security in case of theft especially when the BBM is activated.
The unique beep light that flashes at the top right corner whenever signal comes in from another phone or any of the social media stands out.
One other unique feature of blackberry is its internal memory which is quite high and is up to 16GB in Z10.
One can’t beat the clarity, beauty and real image apperance captured by BlackBerry phone’s camera as high as 8 megapixels in the back camera for Z10 and 2 megapixels for the front camera of Z10 phones.
Blackberry phones are the best smart phones one can ever have because of its exceptional and unique features specially embedded in its various models. I love BlackBerry.

the things that made me love the blackberry and stick to it aside the cheap subscription( although it wasn't always cheap i remember having to part with 3k every month for my subscription initially) was the ease in which one could converse with another due to the ever effective qwerty keyboard one of the reasons i loved my Bold1 and Z10 was that it accommodated my fat fingers, then the class it brought men got me a lot of numbers back then the ability to have all my accounts both social and work related on device was a first then not having to run to a laptop to send or receive a mail was a relief and was so convenient. then the camera of my bold 1 and 2 when u take pictures men u must just fine.....the was such a huge thing my friends female friends dint let my devices rest and me my also. i hope its not getting to long cause i have not gotten to the device that crowned it all o!
BBM i loved especially with the whole PIN thing was new at the time and having a PIN was way so cool you would be asked for your number and then you would call out your pin just so that the other person knows u have a blackberry. with the different software upgrades new things i loved about the device kept increasing.

Then came the OS10 with the biggest upgrade with my Z10 which i got as a birthday gift for my self on the 28th of august last year. men! let me spare u the side details and go straight one of my biggest love here is in conversing using flick typing where it gets amazing is when u have used the device for a while speaking pidgin it starts to bring ur regular words once you start it dam makes chatting way easier fast and fun and its usually the first thing i show any one who i wanna share my experience with then the whole cool interface and the way the apps minimise into small boxes really cool and then priority hub.. love that too when u can just pinch and then all unread msgs or important msgs alone would show cool cool feature i love that too duo you would have to set that to which you want.
also the feature not he upgrade of 10.2.1 where you could preview ur msgs from stand by really cool without having to open them another cool one and then i would really love to use the blackberry passport or classic to use the new features the one am really wanna try is the ability to sync your device from your laptops to tablets using the app. so you could continue what ever you doing from any device your on.. that i want to get my hands on. Please make it come true :)

thanks blackberry thanks linda

Power up

There's a great battery life to be had from the 3,450mAh beast stuck in the back of the Passport. Seriously, if you don't want your productivity hampered by the need to charge a smartphone, then BlackBerry has done you a favour here.
It's comparable to the 4,000mAh battery inside the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 phablet in terms of longevity.

Big brain

The 3GB (count 'em) of RAM means that multitasking is handled with business-like efficiency.
Even the layout has a designated homescreen for tiled shortcuts of whichever apps you happen to be running.
There's no lag when it comes to switching either because BlackBerry's plumped for a Snapdragon 801 processor.
Fair and square

The Passport's 4.5-inch Gorilla Glass 3 screen displays 60 characters across instead of 40. And for websites, emails and office documents, I'm enjoying all that extra width.
The 1,440 x 1,400 resolution is crisp and detailed, and I don't need to constantly zoom in and out to work my way around a document.
Even better, a double-tap on BlackBerry's keyboard lets me scroll up or down the page without obscuring any of the screen.
Scrubbed-up software

There are also some useful software upgrades working away underneath the black and silver chassis – not least the BlackBerry Hub, which is a substantial plus for me.
Grouping all notifications together in a single place and giving you the ability to dive in and out of them rapidly is a bit of a USP for BlackBerry, and a productivity godsend when you're compiling messages from multiple work accounts.

For many years, the word smartphone was synonymous with BlackBerry. Research in Motion defined the first generation of smartphones by offering fast email and messaging services as well as full QWERTY keyboards at a time when the competition was using T9 and Razrs. RIM’s dominance is not what it used to be ever since the iPhone came out, but it continues to hold on, improving its device and software portfolio. Below are my favorite BlackBerry devices.
1. Z10
2. Q10
3. Blackberry passport

Thank you.

The emergence of blackberry (BB) into the mobile market in 1999 started and grew a revolution of communication (Chats(BBM), email, mobile video calls).
This revolution made blackberry the best brand in the world until 2012, yet still they are the preferred in mobile social communication. Its BBM app is regarded as the best social communication platform and has seem it duplicated into other mobile devices and software. Its Qwerty keyboard made typing joyous and fast.
Apart from low battery life, phone hanging issues, trackball issues (earlier models), the black berry brand was able to survive disruptive technology and emerge stronger.
For me, even with other mobile devices, i go every where with my bb because i cant do without my everyday communication (BBM, voice and video calls, bb channel and constant pinging). Indeed my blackberry has in a way enhanced my productivity (am sure other people as well) and made my social / office communication much simpler and fun over the years,

BlackBerry phones are set of unique and wonderful architecture. They have a way of standing out among other smartphones in the market. Looking at the it very well, it is organized, well-structured and has a very strong keypad unlike other smart phones. Looking at the other smart phones unlike blackberry, its Battery life is long and quick to charge. A blackberry phone due to the way it was built gives you up to date information of what is happening around the world at every point in time. You don’t have to switch any data on before you get can information from internet. Blackberry phones have a very strong security that makes it difficult for hackers to get by and steal information. It also has unique applications and an option of upgrading to a higher OS of its model. mailto: Ben16server@gmail.com

The BlackBerry Passport is a phablet developed by BlackBerry Limited. Officially released on September 24, 2014, the Passport is inspired by itsnamesake and incorporates features designed to make the device attractive to enterprise users, such as a unique square-shaped display measuring 4.5 inches diagonally, a compact physical keyboard with touchpad gestures, and the latest release of the company'sBlackBerry 10 operating system.Reception to the Passport was mixed; critics praised the quality of the device's design, screen, and keyboard for meeting the company's goals of creating a business-oriented device, along with an improved application selection through the integration ofAmazon's Appstore for Android (taking advantage of the Android software support provided by BlackBerry 10) alongside BlackBerry's own store for native software. Criticism of the Passport was focused primarily on its irregular form factor in comparison to other phablets, making the device difficult to carry and use one-handed due to its increased width, while its keyboard was also panned for having an irregular layout in comparison to past BlackBerry devices.
In general, blackberry phones wd alwz remain no 1. No matter d competition. Nd I wd always use tt.

I love blackberry phones because of the efficiency of the messaging system as well as fluidity of the OS.The whole screen is one big button on a touch device yet other companies still need a home button... the QNX roots in the BB10 OS, application management is superb. Blackberry does it for me in the following ways
1. Physical durability: blackberry has strong physical features that makes it extremely durable compared to other phones.. why have a phone that you know once it drops its going to cost you a whole lot to fix it when you can have a phone that's so strong you dont have to bother about all that.
Qwerty keypads.: these keypads are everything. Makes typing on the phone look so real like it were on a real computer. The ease of typing on these keypads is very great
Keypads/touchscreen:although the development of strictly touchscreen mobile phones is a great development in technology but having a phone that offers you both is just awesome.. typing with touchscreen keypads can be extremely frustrating at times especially in cases where you need to convey the message as fast as possible with little or no errors, the qwerty keypads are a great source of relief
Battery life: for me my blackberry battery life beats any other phone I have had.. it lasts longer compared to others.
Productivity and email communication: this was one of the things that made blackberry distinct and unique and blackberry'email communication still does it for me compared to other phones
Using the blackberry on one hand:its way easy using BlackBerry with one hand.. try that with other devices and see how difficult and punishment-like that feels
Security:till date blackberry is still known as the most secure mobile device.

Blackberry is the 1st phone brand that was able to syncronise and afford people from different part of the world to be in sharp communication with each other via its "UNIQUE PIN" AND Black berry till date remains the most popular phone if not the likes of Android will not buy into the BBM.The innovation of the Blackberry Hub is another feature that has made the phone unique in its own class. Alsp features such as the Indicator light, Change and display of Pictures and Personal messages and the milestone it has made in helping businesses grow will always make BLACKBERRY STAND OUT at any point.

1) The new BlackBerry 10 devices do not hang. Yes, it may sometimes get a little bit hot due to frequency of use but as a tech person who loves multitasking, its the only device I can boast of, that doesn't hang.

2) Guess how I munch the screen? By simply clicking on the top and bottom volume keys located at the right top side corner of the device. No need for screen munch and co, simply click on both buttons at the same time and alas, screen is munched. You can even munch your home screen and every other thing. Am sometimes lazy to type out a vital info from a website so I simply munch and view later, at my convinience.

3) The new look & feel of the new BlackBerry device is amazingly the 1st of its kind where you simply slide through upwards to minimize a tab. No back/forward button, simply slide without stress.

4) Its a hybrid phone, meaning I get the liberty of enjoying all the usual BlackBerry apps, as well as other OS kinda apps. Apps like Skype, instagram, viber, etc and with all these apps, it still doesn't hang. Isn't that awesome?

5) I recommended a BlackBerry z10 for my boss, where I recently concluded my NYSC and he has never complained of any data issues. He currently uses GLO 3GB for N1,000 for 1 month and yet, he doesn't complain of offing data to save cash. So for all those saying that the new BlackBerry is the same as other android phones, I can boldly tell you its a big lie! That data plan only works for BlackBerry, again, isn't that amazing? Ok!

6) The BlackBerry hub is another amazing feature where you get to simply peak through the hub to see notifications that are already arranged in order. For instance, all facebook notifications are under the facebook column of the hum, same as other app notifications.

7) Mailing and attachments? Very easy. I have been job hunting and sending cv's and each time I use my sisters BlackBerry z10, I feel like saving cash to own it someday unlike attaching files on other devices. With her bb, I simply go directly to composing the mail, theres the "attach" botton already there which takes you to the file manager to attach the file. Same as using a pc.

8) The memory is incredibly large. 3GB ram, 16GB internal memory, etc. What more can u ask for? Its equivalent to, if not bigger and better than a pc!

9) The office viewer is amazing. You can edit on the go, find and replace objects in ms word and excel, etc, just like using a PC.

For me, the new BlackBerry devices are mini kinda computers, one i'd love to own someday, probably when I get a job, as a gift, or something. And I hear some of them are not so expensive. Some go for as cheap as 25k, 45k, et al. Having this new BlackBerry device, esp the BlackBerry  passport would go a long way to bless my life this season and always as ikd stop borrowing peoples phones to send cv's.

Thanks and God bless you.

hmm what i like about my black berry...
well the fact that i get my email as soon as they are sent on my black berry device is one and the BIS payment thing is another compare to andriod phones with high data usage and this makes me surf the internet more than other phone. "then you hear my friend say i beg can i use you phone to download this song so i can send it to my phone because i dey try save my data" lol. another is the map feature..used alot of phone it that has feature but my bb map is the only one that actually work amongs all, like i switch on and as i move the locator moves too until i get to my destination. now i dont get scared of going to places i dont know expecially in lagos.
And the best of them all is the BBM feature that make me get chatting with every one on my contact as far as they can be and also do voice call on it all at the expense of my BIS "supercool".

WHY I USE AND STILL LOVE BLACKBERRY
IN AS MUCH AS THE BBM AND OTHER MESSAGING APP ARE AVAILABLE ON PRACTICALLY ANY PHONE OF YOUR CHOICE , THE BLACKBERRY IS STILL MY FAVOURITE FOR A LOT OF REASONS BUT I’LL JUST MENTION 4….I TOTALLY LOVE THE RED INDICATOR LIGHT-MY PHONE DOESN’T HAVE TO PEEP, VIBRATE OR RING TO ALERT ME OF A MSG OR MAIL, SECONDLY BLACKEBERRY HAS THE BEST PHONE KEYBOARD EVER; YES I DON’T MIND USING A TOUCH SCREEN BUT I WILL RATHER HAVE A BLACKBERRY PHONE THAT HAS A TOUCH SCREEN AND AN AMAZING KEYBOARD …THIRDLY, BLACKBERRY BATTERIES ARE NOT PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE WHICH MAKES IT EASY TO FIX IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG AND LASTLY EMAILS COME WAY QUICKER ON BLACKBERRY.

I love Blackberry Phones for the following reasons:
BlackBerry Protect: which enables me to track, locate and recovery the phone when misplaced.
Its streamlined /efficient messaging capabilities, its smooth multi- tasking system.
Customized Blackberry Pin (BBM): are customized in the phones which makes it unique that even when I format or re-set the phone, my BBM (pin) still remains the same unlike the other smart phones that wipes off all downloaded apps including the downloaded BBM. This leaves you with the only choice of downloading another BBM app, thereby changing your BBM pin.
Blackberry Messenger Channel (BBMC) this is one interesting, addictive and MOST BENEFICIAL reason why I love Blackberry phones, BBMC gives me an a greater opportunity to create a business name for myself, meet people, sell my products and make a good living from the very comfort of my home without going to create a website, look for who to partner with online, just to sell my products. With this platform, I can get comments (notifications) orders and likes for each particular product I put up for sale, I can also chat privately with BBMC with a customer so as to negotiate price without the interference of my other customers
Security wise too, blackberry phones rocks too and I once read up on the internet, The President Obama Barack still uses Blackberry phone till date bcos he wont be allowed to use any other phone just for security reasons. I cant say if this is a true fact o or not o.
Its notification alert light which keeps blinking for you to know that something just dropped into your phone,

I like the ease that comes with using blackberry, availability, flexibility and it is more affordable than most phones. It also provides security against unauthorised access especially when downloading from unrecognised sites. To top it all, the data subscription is unbeatable.

The Reasons why I like Black Berry are thus:

1. Blackberry can be used on almost every carrier in the world (over 475 of them). In the US, the iPhone is available on AT&T (T) only.
2. Blackberry is available in five form factors - small keyboard, large keyboard, no keyboard, flip phone, and candy-bar.
3. Blackberry has removable and expandable battery. iPhone is fixed.
4. Blackberry allows programs to multitask. iPhone has limited multitasking.
5. Blackberry can be synchronized to multiple computers simultaneously, if you have multiple computers.

I like the design of my blackberry phone, it's easy to navigate around, The subscription is the cheapest in Nigeria i get 3gig for 1k with Glo, My blackberry keyboard is so great, trackpad is very fast movement, won’t give up on it. I’ve never lost a typing race to my iPhone or Android friends, I haven't met a single person who says they prefer touchscreen keyboards over the physical one I have. luckystical1@gmail.com

I do not know all the technical whatnots of what makes BB so outstanding. What I do know is that it has redefined my life and made so many wonderful things possible. I am a single mom to young children. Over the years as I have upgraded my phone, Ive handed down the older versions to those I live and work with. Everyone in my home bbs. I've used them for 10years.BB made communication affordable and cheap.

There are 3 major features i like in a Blackberry Device.

Blackberry is a user friendly phone, one can use it very easily without going through the manual. it actually gave ideas to all thise new phone manufacturer ideas via the blackberry chat that one can even communicate faster with friends and families without using the sms mode. the blackberry world is a unique world of its own, creating room for applications which also android manufacturers are mirrowing nowadays.

The ease of using the keypads is one of its kinds..though the one i use is touch screen enabled, but it has never occured to me thats because the keypad is like using a laptop keypad in a minyte way.

professionally, Blackberry opened up the link in which you can sync your microsoft mails to it and easily work on the go with it

I will say blackberry is the origin of all phone advancement. the technology, social, media and emotional world has been touched via Blackberry

Before the introduction of WhatsApp, Viber, and other new messaging applications arrived, the BlackBerry Messenger was the king and also free. Many of its features were copied by its competitors and it is still the most secured messaging app on the market. Based on this Blackberry has set a pace for other mobile phone, and it will definitely remain my number one!

I have been a blackberry user since 2010 & have never looked back since then. I like blackberry chiefly because of its amazing QWERTY keyboard, the blackberry 10 hub feature, the time-shift camera feature, & of course the inimitable BBM! These 4 stand-out blackberry innovations are a deal breaker for me. The keyboard is adaptive, sturdy, stylish & makes typing easy & typo-free. Touch screen keypads aren't just a match to blackberry's amazing QWERTY! Also never lost a 'typing race' with my friends :).
BBM remains the best instant messaging app ever made. It's densed with interesting features, has incredible depth, & is blazing fast! BBM competitors do not come close!
The hub brings all my messages together, makes them easier to track & facilitates multitasking!
The time-shift feature of my camera is simply amazing & unique for perfect pictures!
Finally, the BBM data plans are the most affordable in Nigeria. Nobody wants to dedicate half their salary to (android & iOS) plans!

Blackberry, great device, great company!

Because i do a lot of emailing on the go, and chatting too with my phone; for me, the keyboard of a phone could be a deal breaker. But Blackberry has never disappointed, their stylish, adaptable keyboard with easy shortcuts for swift typing got me upgrading from one BB to another. Thats what i love about BB. And i can't wait to try the passport!
