Disappointed Nigerians troll Super Eagles after loosing to South Africa

For many years, the Nigerian Super Eagles has maintained dominance over the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, but today, it changed. South Africa finally defeated Super Eagles for the first time in a competitive game after 13 attempts and the internet can't keep calm. Falz reacts to the threat to Igbos by Northern youths to vacate the region

The rapper took to his Instagram page to react and preach peace following the ultimatum issued to Igbos by the Northern Youths to vacate the region on or before October 1st.

Ango Abdullahi is not speaking for us – Northern Elders Forum say

The leaders of the Northern Elders Forum NEF, have distanced themselves from the comments made by their spokesperson Abdullahi Ango, on the controversial ultimatum some Northern Youths gave to Igbos residing in the region. Ango at a press conference in Kaduna state yesterday, claimed the elders were in total support of the youths.

However the deputy chairman of NEF, Elder Paul Unongo, says Abdullahi is on his own in backing the ignorant youths.

There are 160,000 women and girls living with HIV in Ghana - UNAIDS

A new report by UNAIDS on HIV prevalence in women has revealed that Ghana is among countries with the highest prevalence rate in West Africa. As many as 160,000 women and girls in Ghana are living with the virus, the report said.

The 2017 report titled “When women lead, change happens – women advancing the end of AIDS” provides global statistics on the prevalence of HIV among women across the world.

Photos: Police arrest most wanted kidnap kingpin in Lagos

The Inspector-General’s Intelligence Response Team (IRT) led by ACP Abba Kyari, has arrested one of the most wanted kidnappers in Nigeria, Chukwudidumeme Onuamadike a.k.a Evans.

According to reports, Evans who is a native of Nnwei in Nnwei North LGA of Anambra state, was arrested at his Magodo residence in Lagos today. He is said to be the richest kidnap kingpin in Nigeria having been behind many of the high profile kidnap cases in Nigeria.

Today, soldiers of the 174 Battalion of the Nigerian Army in Ikorodu, Lagos state, embarked on community service at Odogunyan bus stop in Ikorodu.

The Bafana Bafana of South Africa defeated Gernot Rohr’s men 2-0 at the Goodswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State with goals from Tokelo Rantie and Percy Tau.

Limpopo crooner, Kcee who was called out months ago for stealing a photo of someone's stack of dollars and passing it off as his own on Instagram, wants y'all to know that he is rich and happy to show off.

Ugandans on social media mock President Museveni for watering plants during heavy rainfall

Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni, who is not new to causing unnecessary drama in his country, was pictured on June 2, 2017, watering a plant during a heavy downpour for his insistence on Operation Wealth Creation and his exemplification of the Modern Drip Irrigation system in Uganda.

His bodyguards and others present at the event are also seen taking shelter under umbrellas as the unbothered President carry on in his business.

The three boys identified as Clifford Nyambane 7, Dan Nyamweya 5, and Glen Ongagi 3 were on Friday buried in Nyacheki, Kisii County.

Davido took to IG to reveal that he has fulfilled his promise of building a home for a fan.

Weeks ago, a video of a little boy, Utibe, singing Davido's song "If" went viral and drew his attention. The person who recorded the video revealed that not only does Utibe not go to school but has to hunt snails and assist his mother, who was abandoned by her husband.

We cannot manufacture suspects- Police give update on Abuja female preacher, Eunice Elisha's case

The Police Public Relations Officer, Moshood Jimoh, has given an update on the murder case of 42 year old preacher, Eunice Elisha, who was hacked to death while she was preaching in Abuja on July 9th 2016.

Speaking in an interview with Premium Times, Jimoh said the police cannot confirm whether it has made any arrest or not and then went on to state that the force cannot manufacture suspects in any case.

Alfa apprehended with human parts in Osun state...says he planned to use it for money rituals after the Ramadan

38 year old Rasheed Ajibade, an Alfa, who was apprehended with Human parts including a decapitated head at Olu-Ode area of Osun state on Wednesday June 7th (Read here), says he planned to use the parts for money rituals after the Ramadan fast.

Rasheed who spoke with newsmen at the state police command in Osogbo where he was paraded, said his client was the one who provided the human parts for the money ritual. He denied being involved in the killing of the yet-to-be identified woman.

Ghanaian Football player, Kwame Bonsu, jailed for assaulting and raping his wife in Sweden

A Ghanaian football player in Gävle, Sweden, Kwame Bonsu, has been sent to prison for assaulting and raping his wife. A Swedish court yesterday sentenced Kwame, who plays in Sweden's second division, to two years in prison for beating and raping his estranged wife.


22-year-old Kwame Bonsu who played for the Gefle IF club, after serving his sentence will also be deported from the Scandinavian country where he has lived since 2013.

Brave Police officer in viral Owerri robbery video died in April

Earlier this week, the CCTV footage of a robbery attack at a Zenith bank branch in Owerri, Imo state sometime in February this year, surfaced online.

In the video, one police officers who was inside the security room in the bank, put up a good fight with the robbers as he engaged them in a gun battle and was able to kill one of them. After shooting one of the robbers dead, the gallant officer identified as Sergeant Chukwudi Iboko, tried to escape from the security post but was shot several times by another robber. Unfortunately Iboke died in April from injuries he sustained from the gun battle.

Gunmen abduct Kaduna state House of Assembly member

Unknown gunmen have abducted a member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Isa Salihu who represents Magajin Garin Constituency of the state. According to reports, the 42 year old lawmaker was abducted with three other persons along the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road yesterday June 9th.

Details of his kidnap are still sketchy but the state police say they've not been informed about his kidnap.

A Kenyan judge who freed a man convicted of defiling a minor has earned an international award as the world’s worst court decision for women’s rights in the past year.
On April 25, 2016, Justice Said Juma Chitembwe of Malindi High Court in Kenya, set aside a 20-year jail sentence that a magistrate court had handed to Martin Charo, 24, after convicting him of defiling a 13-year-old girl between December 2011 and January 2012 in Kilifi County.

Ex super eagle coach, Augustin Eguavoen has just resigned as the head Coach of Sunshine Stars FC of Akure following a string of poor performances in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).
