End-of-year LIB Giveaway continues! Win 2 Blackberry Passports

I told y'all I will be giving away 10 Blackberry Passports courtesy Blackberry Nigeria. The phones are already in my possession...and they are worth about N150k each. I will be giving away 2 phones everyday from today Dec 15th to Friday Dec. 19th. But to win this is a little different from the random selection I do with the money giveaway. You have to work a little harder to win this...:-)

To win a phone, write a short note on what you like about Blackberry on the comment section. The guys at Blackberry Nigeria will review entries and send names of winners to me. If you win, you will meet me this weekend to collect your phone. If you don't live in Lagos, we will find a way to send the phone to you. Good luck guys...

Blackberry phones are SMART! They work very well with numerous apps, their batteries last long and the phones are strong and durable. I have used a Bold2.
I particularly admire the BB Passport because of its large screen. It is a phone i wish to use for my studies and so the large screen will come in real handy. Thank you

I like Blackberry because you can do every thing very easy on it doesn't cost much it is very fast, you can do everything there without even opening the app. Answer emails, reply Whatsapp, BBM, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn... all this from any app that you are using. No more buttons, no more scrolling to the app. you have native DLNA support so you can just "Play To" directly to TV wirelessly without having to buy an Apple TV or something similar. Play music or movies wirelessly! Send emails with multiple attachments... type on the best touchscreen keyboard. you don't even have to hit the correct letter, it will guess what letter you intended to type and correct the word for you. I can even type with my eyes closed! And guess what? do all that at the same time with no penalty (stream wirelessly a movie to TV, browse the internet and answer emails)! the Dual Core feels like its an octo core! Time shift camera is incredible to take picture of kids or big groups.
No matter how heavy user you are, the phone will perform flawlessly all the time. I have 5 emails set up, 3 social network account set up. i get about 50 emails per day and over 200 texts message.

I have been a great fan of blackberry devices and I have used a quite number of few, the most outstanding spec I like about blackberry phones is the Security feature...Blackberry phones can hardly be hacked and that's more reason why Us Govt officials prefer using blackberry devices.

Also During the time of Bold 5 I admire the track pad button alot, it makes scrolling alot more easier and fun.

And the Blackberry messenger is the most powerful tool I cherish alot and the fact that Network provides have dedicated data packages that will enable me stay connected is priceless. #BlackberryOverEveryMobileDevices.

I love BlackBerry, i mean;

1. Its the first smartphone with a trademark IM app (BBM) which other competing smartphones i.e iPhone, Androids & Windows had to get on their phones cos its easy & fun to use.

2. The first smartphone that became easily accessible to Nigerians due to its affordability.

3. Still the only smartphone in Nigeria that has the most affordable data plans on all networks..

What's there not to love? All BlackBerry devices are built with engineering precision & class, best thing is the devices are affordable & pocket friendly to manage..

I can only use one word to describe blackberry smartphones "Awesome". What can I say when they are the first brand to bring cool instant messaging and fast communication in the mobile community. Thank you blackberry for setting the pace.

Blackberry have a special server technology that sat between email services,it makes you enjoy sending and receiving email. The security you get from blackberry is vast compare to other phones. I don't do other phones BBM cause its never like blackberry BBM. Do you know that the separate "personal" identify is under your control.

BlackBerry has the best messaging system on the planet. The versatility of its inboxes, combined with the indispensable BBM — not to mention the physical keyboard — makes BlackBerry tops in the business when it comes to messaging services.
Recently, a friend asked to help recommend a phone and i said "If you don’t need your email everywhere, iPhone or Android is good but if you do need email everywhere, then BlackBerry leads the way. The push services are second to none."

2.You would like a blackberry phone for its…well, communication features. BlackBerry’s e-mail system, keyboard and indicator light all make the communication process a more efficient one.

Blackberry as a brand is just Unique, Its features as a phone makes it stand-out from the every other phone in the market. When blackberry first came out with the all unique BBM and it was the only platform that offered that kind of service, it wowed so many people world over and it overtook the mobile phone market with such frenzy so much so that even other mobile phone makers had to find a way to plug into Blackberry's unique form of operation which subsequently gave birth to BBM being on android phones, Even at that, the uniqueness of BBM on Blackberry still stands out from every other phone that incorporated Blackberry's idea of BBM on their own platform. Blackberry's operation as a mobile device is second to none in different areas of its work. These areas include sending and receiving of emails, blackberry's ability to give its users better data usage than can be found on android phones, its constant development of its software which gives additional features and makes it look super beautiful to behold and navigate on. These constant upgrades and metamorphosis is what led to the production of the super sleek, elegant, classy and all encompassing Blackberry passport (the greatest mobile phone to grace the face of the earth as far as i am concerned). Seeing a friend of mine use her blackberry passport phone and seeing its functionality and its sleek mode of operation has made me yearn more for this wonderful piece of mobile phone and i am glad this opportunity to pour out my love for blackberry over the years came up. I love Blackberry as a brand and i love it even more as my phone of choice! Blackberry all the way!!!

My Blackberry World of love!!!!, I am so pleased to err my views and also opportune. I love blackberry so much and prefer it to other phones and these are my very good reasons.

firstly, it comes in Variety & Styles - honestly speaking, one has gotten over bored of the same old block style. Be it the Samsung Galaxy S5 or the iPhone 5, it's the same style. With BlackBerry however, you have several unique form factors to choose from - Full QWERTY (Bold/Curve), QWERTY Slider (Torch 9800/9810), Full Touchscreen (Torch 9850/9860 and Z3/Z10), Suretype (Pearl 3G) and QWERTY Flip (Pearl Flip). A style for everyone.

It Can Be Used Anywhere - An unlocked BlackBerry can be used on almost any carrier around the world, so you are not limited to a few specific carriers. Great Keyboards - BlackBerry keyboards are pretty flexible and of great help for fast texting without errors. The keyboards feel way better than touch type. It's like, you can carry grocery in one hand and text on the other!! Not so easy with touchies eh?

International Roaming - Because BlackBerry supports international carriers, international roaming is not an issue. However, be careful with this as the roaming charges from your carrier might be a little outrageous.

I like Blackberry as a phone The results are what you might expect when visualizing the "classic" BlackBerry user. They're jetsetters. They're team leaders. They communicate. A LOT. They're organized and resourceful, and undoubtedly, successful.

Over the years a whole bunch of phrases and slogans have been used to describe BlackBerry devices and this type of user and their mentality. Always On, Always Connected. BlackBerry People Do. We want tools, not toys. BlackBerry is for people who have sh!t to do, and need to get it done (as opposed to people who have time to kill and are looking for things to do).

I also love its security features.

First Let start by saying am in love with blackberry not because of Lib blog but because i have gotten used to its features that i had to sell off an andriod phone i got as a gift. In Nigeria as a country where internent is expensive,i rely on my blackberry for my one month internent browsing. The instant emails i get on my phone, the bbm voice that has replaced the daily calls i make or is it my bbm chats. i recently won my boyfriend's heart over cos of the food channel i subscribed to.where new food receipts are shared and i get instant updates. Do you know what it means to move from blackerry pearl, bold 2,4 to a bold 5.Though of all blackberry phones i have used,i still prefer my Bold 5 cos is the most beautiful blackberry phone have seen. is sexy and beautiful. Then i heard of Passport,i saw the pics and it won me over. I really want to win this Passport not because is a gift but because i really need it to prove to me that i can love another type of blackberry aside from bold5.ohaeriqueen@gmail.com

I’ve been into the BB biz since 2007. I’m so attached to my Torch. It was snatched twice..and I still went ahead and bought another Torch, cos I need not look at my screen before typing. Laugh all you want, iPhone and Android users, I’ve still got the better keyboard.
Here are some of the reasons I won’t switch my BB to an iPhone (even though I can afford it)- : the red indicator light, the physical keyboard and BBM-(Yes, I know androids and iPhones have bbm, but everyone I know complains about the quality of their DPs, except BB users).
That red indicator light? I love it as much as I ever have. iPhones don’t have a tiny little light that flashes when there’s a new message or alert. That’s still the case. And as my friend who just converted from BB to iPhone puts it, “That’s what I miss most about my BB. Now I have to turn my phone on to check if I have new messages.”
My physical keyboard is still a dealbreaker. I won’t give up on it &neither have other loyal BB fans. I’ve still never lost a typing race to my iPhone or Android friends, and typo free might I add. I have not met a single person who says they prefer touchscreen keyboards over the physical one I have. (Even though my torch has the screen keyboard, I still prefer to type with my keyboard).
In essence, my third reason for not switching to a smarter Smartphone (just yet) is that I’m not convinced I need one. If you’re still using a Blackberry by choice then you probably don’t care very much about Instagram or any other trendy app because you don’t care for your phone to act like a toy.
You like your phone for its…well, communication features. BlackBerry’s e-mail system, keyboard and indicator light all make the communication process a more efficient one.
“Pity .. but I’m still sticking with my BB. And let me be clear, I’m not resisting change for the sake of resisting change. I have considered switching to an Android as some have both the physical keyboard and indicator light I’m looking for. However, I haven’t found one that fits me. Literally. They are huge compared to my BB.

Is a blackberry, a mobile phone not a fruit. Invented in 1999 as a two-way pager, Just about the time kids loved Tom and Jerry.

Unlike the famous cartoon, It didn’t get much recognition.
It was big, ugly and almost useless L

In 2002, It evolved to a smart phone and became more popular than the fruit It was named after. It used to be underrated, but now It is celebrated.

Its instant messaging service was the beginning of a new era. Everyone didn’t see it coming, but now u and I cannot do without it.

Most people in the world now carry it around and value it just like their ancestors valued gold.

Thanks to its QWERTY keypad, a lot of people now have at least 2 years clerical work experience in typing that they often forget to put on their CV.
It can be found in every household and now you don’t have to take your phone charger everywhere you go. People say once you go BLACK, you can’t go back,

I hope Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung and other phones that ran out of business will understand that I am talking about BLACKberry and there is no going back.

People find it so cute that they call it BB which sounds just like baby,
In fact if a baby and it are about to drop, be rest assured that blackberry will be saved before the baby.

When people have accidents, they will be fine as long as it didnt get a scratch.

A day without blackberry, are you having a laugh?

I’m sorry that your friends and family don’t call you anymore. To be honest what’s the point when they can read from your status every 1min that you are fine?

Nowadays it’s very difficult for people to walk with their heads high, and whenever something funny happens, everybody’s head goes down and they stay down! Well at least until they bump into something or trip and fall on their face, but remember they will be fine as long as the blackberry didnt get a scratch.

I’m very proud of blackberry achievements which includes easy mail delivery, Instant messaging service and the flexibility to browse the web . I Love my Blackberry

Blackberry is the only smart phone maker that has produced touch screen phones and phones with key pads. I remain a loyal customer because blackberry has met my need as a customer that enjoy using a smart phone with touch screen and at the same time with key pad. In the league of smart phone makers, blackberry stands out with her ability to satisfy different users of smart phones. As for me and my household we would stick to blackberry.Shikena

Blackberry is a unique phone. I could remember how I saved my pocket money just to get a blackberry cos I love browsing and study a lot in the Internet. I got it and it's amazing cause I can't stop talking about the speed when I browse and the monthly BIS that saves me so much money but it's so sad that I lost mine on my wedding day. BlackBerry is worth it!

The term BlackBerry refers to a line of wireless handheld devices and services designed and marketed by blackberry. It was formerly known as RIM and first device was produced in 1999,this was an email pager.
Over the years the company has produced so many devices in form of phones and as the year comes they make better, sleeker, and advanced phones.
I have used quite a number of phones and I will say that blackberry has been the best. My first blackberry phone was the Bold 4, then curve 7, then bold 5, then Z10.
I love blackberry because it's easy to use, among all the smart phones to me it standa out, it has this unique system of operation, the market like no other, most importantly the subscription,it is affordable because all you need do is subscribe for BIS and you are covered for the month.
My only challenge was the battery life and sometimes it hangs, but like I said blackberry has advanced with time and their new products are just perfect. I dont know if I can actually not have a blackberry, its just easy for me to go round the phone without any help.
Any blackberry device can take photos, record, access the internet, instant messages etc. A blackberry phone has no limitation. It only gets better with time.

so got a smart phone bt i couldnt get rid of my blackberry curve 5, y? cos apart frm it saving my money in excess of bis subscription it always stands out. its uniqueness is just out of dis world nd replacing it wit a PASSWORD!!! I do not think I can use any other kind of phone. Reason being that BlackBerry satisfies all of my mobile technology needs and I am not a greedy person LOL.

I will not focus on stating obvious features like the sleek look, picture quality or BBM services. Let me share other features that secured my loyalty to BlackBerry.

One of the features that got me hooked on BlackBerry, is the very effective mail service. I could send and receive email messages on the move. The most exciting experience for me, was getting a job I really wanted, after I applied using my BlackBerry phone.

I did not have a laptop then and almost didn't feel the need to acquire one because of my BB experience.

Another excellent feature, is the BB protects. Oh my God. I have no fear of losing my contacts if I loose my phone because with BlackBerry protects, all my contacts including BBM and apps are restored, even when I change my phone to another BlackBerry.

Really, if I can get these kind of value from a brand of phone, wouldn't I be a highly insatiable and discontented person if I still desire another brand? Surely, I would!

I love my Blackberry and no other phone brand can steal that love away.

Cheers,

The reasons why I like a blackberry phone are:
Unique Personal Identification Number, which allows only one person to have, the video call, that allows one to see who you're calling. The multi person chat, most BlackBerry has both key pads and touch screen. This allows users to use the most convenient. And most of all, it's a smart phone.

Am doing this unbehalf of my mom.
So I have a blackbery Z10 and recently my mum has been complaining that her phone was spoilt and she wont let me rest. She keeps reminding me that I have two phones so I should give her one to keep "in touch".
Finally gave her my blackberry.
3 weeks later, I call my mum asking her why he number is always switched off.
She replied me "Amy, the phone na enwe low battery all the time (the phone keeps showing low battery all the time) upon I charge it all day." This got me worried because the phone had no issues when I gave it to her.
I knew she will be coming to Lagos so visit my elder sister so I told her when she comes I will help her change the battery and repair it. Upon her arrival, she gave me the phone, I switched it on, all her notifications started coming in then she goes "e hugoh ya? oh blinki wahala low battery" (can you see, its blinking low battery), I couldnt contain my laughter! my mum thought the red indication on the blackberry meant low battery. Now she is getting a goo hang of it, and really loves her phone. Amy (Osogbo)

I love Blackberry phones because of their fast email and messaging services as well as full QWERTY keyboards. No to mention how their BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) revolutionalized Instant Messaging (IM) till other platforms have adopted it. Personally, I use a white Bold 9900 "Bold 5". It is the first Bold to combine a touchscreen and a physical keyboard in a standard candy bar design. The Bold 9900 has a fantastic design, its keyboard is the best I’ve ever used on a smartphone, and its screen is vivid and bright. The Bold 9900 is on its own planet when it comes to text input. The Bold 5 is also a capable media player that has a cool interface, and the 5-megapixel camera makes pictures vivid. But having seen and read about the new BB10 and Blackberry passports, it would be great and amazing of you guys to upgrade me. I heard the OS is superb, cool and sleek. Thanks in anticipation.

Theresakoro@yahoo.com. I actually love blackberry phones for d following reasons 1.Physical Keyboard because
In the early years of BlackBerry, all handsets had a full QWERTY physical keyboard rather than limiting text entry to a numerical keypad or a touch screen's virtual keyboard. 2.Enterprise Server
BlackBerry has an Enterprise Server system that allows users to send and receive emails from a business account in a secure format, synchronizing with their working computer. 3.BlackBerry Messaging
BlackBerry handsets allow for instant text message communication with other BlackBerry users, with no per-message charge.

blackberry has its unique features. starting with my red indicator light which alerts me if I have ping or low battery, that middle navigation button which I can't do without pressing which has a unique softness when touched and you can choose any lid colour you wish for.
It's not designed to run flashy applications, for playing games or for
uploading pictures to Facebook and Twitter. It started out a
business-minded device, and RIM has continued to market it as a
business-friendly device, although recent ads have pitched it as a
leisure phone for young multitaskers as well.
Part of the allure is that the BlackBerry is known for being secure. It
encrypts messages, which makes business owners more comfortable
giving the phones to their employees, who may share sensitive
documents and e-mails over the phones. and lastly blackberry helps you type what you have in mind unlike most android phones that helps you auto correct even when its not your desire to do that. I love my blackberry. Thanks. floxynwams@gmail.com

There are several things I love about the blackberry smartphone. One is the blackberry instant messaging (BBM). It makes communication a whole lot easier. On my Bbm, I can send files, photos, audios, etc.
Asides that, BlackBerry has also helped me organise. How so? My emails come directly to my phone and I actually do get an alert when it comes in. That way, I get to categorise my messages and put them into the "To do" task list with a set up alarm if need be.
Apart from that, the blackberry smartphone has a wonderful OS that can enable me to run android applications on my device. Meaning? I get a 2in 1 package for a cheaper amount and without a reduction in quality.
The blackberry has so much to offer and it's amazing how a truck load of "awesomeness" can still fit into your pocket :) a blackberry phone never looks ugly, *duffing my hat to RIM for the cute blackberry phone designs*

Reasons why I like blackberry.

The email on a Blackberry is second to none. The calendar is easy to use and you can sync your email and calendar with your computer.

With the Blackberry you can also download programs easy like google maps, facebook app, myspace app, gmail, and a ton of others.

If you do get the internet package i know for a fact you will be using if very often.

If you like a full QWERTY go with the curve, if you want to txt fast with one hand go with the Pearl, it is easy to get used to either. Just give it a few days.

With the Blackberry you can also download programs easy like google maps, facebook

1) Qwerty keyboard - easy to get used to - not cramped like some other phones.

2) Email features are great - pretty positive you can have at least three email accounts going directly to your phone (of course it is best to have an unlimited data plan if you opt to do this).

3) The apps are easy to install and remove - the desktop management software was easy for me to figure out and then it was a point and click situation.

4) The internet is pretty quick for a phone - I would think - in particular compared to my prior phone.

5) The media center on the phone - ringtones / videoes/ pictures - of course you can change the picture on your themes.

6) Themes are easy to install - the theme of the device window / or operating system...whether it is a iphone type, football, luminensce, the list goes on and on. You can generally find these free at forums like eveek or pinstack.

7) The GPS device works quite well - I have tested it as well as the turn by turn instructions (realize this cost more a month depending on your cell phone provider - the turn by turn feature.

8) The text features are good - I text sms - purely text but I think that is a sprint thing and not the phone -once again think

9) Camera on the phone / there is video as well - allows you to send a picture via email to some one else.

10) The memory card is easy to put in - just pull the battery and flip the little mechanism put the card in and flip it back in place with the little secure clamp and your ready to go.

11) You can charge your phone via car charger / USB to computer / or the ac adapter into the wall.

12) I am forgetting a few things......................voice recorder / call log where you can see the history of the person who called you / voice dailing feature / calendar where you can schedule your appts. /

13) password keeper, Instant messaging apps from AIM to AOL, Facebook & MySpace Apps /

14) The amount of free apps you can find on BB surprised me / of course there are a lot of demo type of apps available as well.

I am going to stop there........hoped that help.

Nothing can be as satisfying as BlackBerry bis. if you try an ordinary Android phone, you'll appreciate BlackBerry forever. imagine a month with unlimited browsing and downloading.. And i'm saying diz because i use an android phone, and it is not funny at all.

I wouldn’t switch my BlackBerry for an iPhone and Android smartphones: the red indicator light, the physical keyboard and BBM.

Today, touch keyboards rule the smartphone world. Even among Android devices, BlackBerry has done a good job to limit the keyboard to text entry. The keyboard's feel is very crisp and certain when you press keys, and I suspect keyboard lovers are pleased with the feel and responsiveness.

So when Research In Motion, as a known as BlackBerry, launch and roll out its new phones it was no surprise that those two key features that keep me in love with my BlackBerry, the indicator light and full keyboard, were still in play.

But that red indicator light? That's another essay for someday because this is limited to a short story.

If wishes were fishes, no one would starve. But I suspect the BlackBerry dreamers will go hungry to win this competition.

When you hear the word "smartphone," what image pops into
your mind? Maybe it's the phone you own or the one you
desperately want. Maybe it's even a favorite pocket companion
from years past. Whatever it may be, one thing is likely certain:
it looks nothing like the BlackBerry Passport.
That's because almost no smartphone does what blackberry does that is how awesome it is.

What I like about blackberry? What's not to like about Blackberry??? It was the first gift my first love gave me, there were a number of gifts but my first Blackberry is the ONLY one I still possess, or remember. At the time one might have thought it wasn't exactly romantic, but it was the most useful and productive thing anybody could (or can) give to me. There's a long list of things I love about Blackberry, these are the reasons I've stayed faithful to Blackberry in almost seven years.
1. It's user friendly. I'm sure everyone can agree to this. It's easy to use by anyone, no matter your age, level of education or IT knowledge. It's easy and simple to use.
2. While it's simple, it's also very advanced, trendy and ultramodern. These two are an unbeatable and very rare combination.
3. BBM. Who does not love BBM? That's one of the greatest apps of this century that even the supposed big wigs had to buy into it. BBM should be thanked for the success of some businesses, transactions, deals, relationships and marriages.
4. Durability. So remember that gift my first love gave me all those years ago, 7 to be precise; a Blackberry Curve specifically. Guess what, It's still in use! Still functioning and working just fine.
5. Variety. Being a Blackberry loyalist, I love that there's a wide range of Blackberrys I can choose from, if I feel the need for a newer model I never have to wait long before I get one. Simply amazing.
6. Consistency. This is the main factor that has kept me loyal and faithful to Blackberry. It's one factor most other phone makers lack. Blackberry has proven through their numerous years in business to be consistent, yet with each model there are significant improvements, a brand that truly strives to please the customer!

There are a list of other features I love love love about Blackberry; the simply fantastic apps store, the elegance of the device, the long battery life and a host of other reasons that have made me put them first and stay loyal.

I would be greatly honoured to win a Blackberry passport.

In 2013, BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) made its way to iOS and Android devices, finally giving non-BlackBerry device owners access to the popular instant messaging app. Earlier this year, the company updated the service to include voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) calling and Dropbox support. Recently, BlackBerry took yet another step toward making BBM a full-featured communication tool for business users by releasing BBM Meetings, a new collaboration solution designed specifically for mobile devices.

The BBM Meetings app offers a wide range of collaboration features, such as voice meetings, videoconferencing, presentations and real-time file sharing.

On the surface, BBM Meetings seems just like any other collaboration service, but there are a few things that set it apart. Here's why it could be the next mobile meeting tool for your business. This so far is the best business friendly phone for all business people

MY LOVE FOR BLACKBERRY

I started using blackberry in 2008 with blackberry storm 9530 as my first experience.
The storm got me so hypnotized with its simplicity and sharp response of the touch screen to ur request at a slight touch on it.
Now i have been using Z10 for awhile now and i am in love with the the fact that i can manouvre through my applications at a slide without much scrolling.
The display and picture quality amazes me whenever i snap, especially at night.
I don't see myself changing my brand of phone from blackberry as its very easy to understand and use.

I like BlackBerry because it can be used anywhere. An unlocked BlackBerry can be used on almost any carrier around the world, so you are not limited to a few specific carriers. It's easy to charge – All new BlackBerry phones use a standardize Micro-USB connector for charging and synchronization. Messaging-The efficiency of the messaging system as well as fluidity of the OS. The seamless (read button-less) interaction with the phone just feels right. The whole screen is one big button on a touch device yet other companies still need a home button. It has Great Keyboard – BlackBerry keyboards are pretty flexible and of great help for fast texting without errors and it's relatively inexpensive. oyemadeb22@yahoo.com

The reasons i still remain true to BB till today is that As for BBM, my contact is safe. I can chat with any of my Android and iPhone friends via WhatsApp

But that red indicator light? I love it as much as I ever have. Other phones don’t have a tiny little light that flashes when there’s a new message or alert. That’s still the case. Most phones will have to turn on to check if u have new messages.”

My physical keyboard is still a dealbreaker.I’ve still never lost a typing race to my iPhone or Android friends, and typo free might I add. I have not met a single person who says they prefer touchscreen keyboards over the physical one I have.
The is much more favorable and affordable on any network in Nigeria.

Linda,

Thank you so much for this opportunity. You are sunshine to many. Please find my note below.

Cheers,
