They don't just accept them solely because they're females. The Academy doesn't admit students who are unfit! You need to see the rigorous training, mental/physical exercises and screening they go through before they are admitted. And at the end of the day, only the strongest and fittest remain. Hundreds of them don't even make it. Including many guys. I've witnessed it several times since I'm close to the school and I'm quite sure even you yourself may not make it past the screening stage!! So yes, those who make it are worth celebrating!!

Yes there were no female cadets on the regular course except on the Direct Short Service Course and Recruitment. It was around 2009/2010 that NDA started accepting female cadets on regular course.
