Nigerian Censor Board bans movie - 50 Shades of Grey...

Damn! Was hoping to watch it this weekend. The movie was released in Nigerian Cinemas last week. Why ban after a release? But what do you guys think of the movie being banned? For those of you who have already seen it, was it that bad?

I've seen some part of the movies
And the sex scenes are intense
Is not only nigeria that banned the movie
Some african countries did too
I don't think they were wrong in banning the movie

The movie wasn't even all that. I watched it on Valentine's Day and it was quite a disappointment. EVEN the s*x scenes was nothing to write home about. It was pretty mild. I don;t know why they would ban the movie. Its not even worth the effort.

only them know why

50 shades of gray is totally about sex, was there a scene that didn't have sex in it? I've never seen a lame movie. Anyway they should have banned it from just cinemas, adults have the right to watch it in their homes. I was disappointed on vals day when I saw the movie,no meaningful story line

We are just hypocritical in this country. First off, after the release, movie was showing at regular times, then they moved it to 8:45 and 9:10 probably cos children (underaged) were watching it too. I applauded them for that move! But banning it totally and taking away that pleasure from red blooded adults!? Haba! It's not fair at all! What they could have done was ask for IDs. You know. At the ticket area and at the entrance door. they could have done 21 and above! Anybody born before then have no business (kinda ooo cos some 19 year Olds are married) watching it. Gerrit? This is so disappointing. This is how we will always be denting our image to the international community, making us look prune and uncouth. Not like there's no solution. If they don't have T/PVCs or Driver's License or National ID cards, then they should get their original birth certificates. Anyone who feels that it's too much stress just for a movie should go on and air their butts at home! Or download the phucking movie! Shikena! Me that was planning to go watch it with the hubs and make out in the movie hall... Sigh! Party poopers. I shall now buy it, hook it up to our live size flat screen, watch it, phuck halfway through, come back, rewind, watch again, make out and phuck again. *tongue out*

The question is "was the movie not reviewed before it's release to the cinemas? If yes, then our Film n censors board is negligent.

Nigeria is such a hopeless country, so off all our problems it is banning 50 shades of grey that is a priority for us. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease. Who is the censors board to dictate to adults what they can or cannot watch. This is 2015, we are supposed to be living in a democracy, this is not the Taliban or a dictatorship. The censors board had no right to tell me what to watch, the most they can do us to enforce the PG rating and enforce that kids are not allowed to watch it. Rubbish, bloody hypocrites, meanwhile the people that banned it are the ones that watch porn in the office. Two faced idiots

Linda come to England we go watch it together lol I have not seen the movie but have read the books. It's probably going to be a soft porn. And I don't think I'll ever watch it unless with Linda. It's a useless book a complete embarrassment to literature. Like they say the man that own the media own the world. Everywhere i turn to breath in fresh air their is an aroma of fifty shades of grey. Those that have not read the book, those that couldn't finish reading it and those that vow never to spend their pound on anything called fifty shades lol I'm tired of fifty shades rubbish.

Waoooo! The movie was something else...the use of brutality in that movie was heartbreaking! I kept wondering if any woman could actually endure such cruelty? All in the Name of love or even adventure?

...But why ban it after it's been showed on a Cinema?

I remember when they banned femi kuti music Bang Bang Bang . And it won lots of award. Even when our parliament complained about BBA shower hour. They had to make that part exclusive for payment. this is ridiculious other than her public her and her flat body there was nothing really erotic about 50 shade of gray! i found it flat and vague. not much to be seen actually, reading the book made me horny by the mins, i found the movie also rudely prolonged with a very rude end! a lot of people where laughing in the cinema at Aberdeen. i dont know why, but i had to laff when Mr gray said he is fifty shades of fucked up. i only went to see the movie to be able to analyse it my self. linda if u keep checking putlocker.com am sure they would upload it soon. they always do.

The movie has an R-rating in the USA which means 'Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian. Contains some adult material. Parents are urged to learn more about the film before taking their young children with them'. My friends that have watched THE MOVIE here in New York have mentioned that the 3-part books are better.

The Nigerian Censor board is hypocritical and a shame . How come Boko Haram members have learnt suicide bombing and beheadings that were only typical in middle eastern countries and places like Pakistan. How come there is more HIV in Nigeria than any western country? Shame

I have seen the movie in the cinema here in Ibadan before the ban. I don't know why they waited till after the release. The movie contains nudity.. handcuffs all these sodomy stuffs. It also shows an unequal show of power. I don't know why it was ban since the cinemas were showing it at night so underage wouldn't watch it. Na them know sha. They movie is not that bad. It's a triology so I look forward to seeing more in coming years.

Not trying to step off to you wrong or nothing, but much as we hype our culture (which I'm also proud of by the way) and beliefs, we have still failed to maintain as functional a society as ALL of the countries we feel lack an eclectic culture.

Was just der jor. In you have read all 3 books, u wud know the movie missed out on some key ingredients and I feel dat d transition between scenes wasn't all dat smooth. Ana played her role pretty well but Christian Grey was a tab stiff to me.
So I wud class it as a kinky sex movie without the kinky sex in the movie. Just my opinion though.

Linda you have to watch it. It brought the book to life in the most amazing, saw it on feb 14, I still haven't gotten over it. I had to read fifty shades darker again. That how much it brought back the memories of the trilogy.

It has a lot of sex scenes. 40 percent was sex. And yes it was intense. I think every guy should watch so they can learn one or two things about what girls like.

I'm not sexually active but I can't wait to do all those kinky fuckery with my husband
