Unknown said...

Oh yes! This is child abuse.. Child abuse by the government, the people put in place who are supposed to provide their basic needs, and give them a chance,a right to have a normal childhood.. A right to education,a right to have three square meals,a right to be happy,a right to not worry about things they shouldn't worry about at their age,a right to have a fair shot at a bright future!! Yes,it's indeed child abuse..

Unknown said...

Child abuse? I think it's early apprenticeship.

Nigerians re always too quick to snap pix for bloggers, instead of helping the Current situation . Linda n re paparazzi crew could afford to help the kids instead of displaying their pix on social media, to make money for demselve
A day meal won't av cost you much.

Although poverty in nigeria is a well tail, it would take enamored individual to eradicate it.

The moment we learnt to be pragmatic the better.

U always on point with ur dumbness... Those kids are laborers not by choice..

Nkechi J. said...

No matter their situation, a child still needs to be a child. A child should never have to fend for themself. What a messed up country we call home.
This is not how childhood should be. That it is, doesn't make it right!

Nkechi J. said...

Making it mandatory for them to be in school is not the solution, most Nigerian children want to go to school. Govt need to provide them means to go to school. By making it mandatory without providing means just gives the govt an out and makes life even tougher for already poor parents. School should be free and govt should provide breakfast and lunch for these kids. Without proper nutrition, this kids won't grow, their brain won't develop properly and they won't learn anything.

Nkechi J. said...

And that makes it right, listen to yourself. Are you going to be one of those parents that tell their kids, I walked a million miles to get to school with the same uniform all through school so you have to walk to school and no new uniform for them?
When you know better, you do better. Children need to be children. Most messed up adults you see today are that way mostly due to lack of childhood. They have the rest of their life to be adult, why start so early. If children need to fend for themselves, then why do they have parents?

it is my dear. Underaged children are not to b put in these conditions no matter wat. they shud be in school or allowed to play like children

Anonymous said...

Child labor is child abuse in that making them work is abusing their rights to live like normal children . ie playing, going to school etc

Unknown said...

You ppl just say anything that comes out of your mouth. Will you rather prefer them begging or stealing? No child should labour; true talk. You need to understand ppl's situation n try help out in your little way too.

This is purely child labour and exploitation which is punishable under enable laws in Nigeria. The sender shd do the children the good by sending d address of the place so that appropriate action could be taken. It is not d issue of sending pic but a way to correct the ills in our society which everyone of us she endeavour to do.

You know your country is in a bad state when 90% of adults in their right mind see an underaged child at a building site and endorse his being there without blinking.

The minimum age for work in Nigeria if I am not mistaken is 18. This is abuse of labour. What are our regulatory authorities doing? Somebody please remind them that nobody under 18 may work on a building site or any site at all.

This is nit hussling, this is not chop I chop, child abuse! Social Welfare authorities in Naija take note!!

Unknown said...

It is child abuse. When a child is forced to fend for himself. This is all shades of wrong. When you bring a child into this world you should be ready for the responsibility that comes with That child.
