Let's do a LIB poll. Who would you rather be the APC Vice presidential candidate for the 2015 election? Edo state governor - Adams Oshiomhole, former Ekiti state governor Kayode Fayemi, Lagos state governor Raji Fashola or Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi?

Fashola, but he's a muslim. Amaechi is a clown, don't want him. I don't know much about Fayemi. So I'm left with Oshiomole. Though I no too gbadun d man.
Nigeria is such a funny country, we would sacrifice good governance on the platforms of rotational methods, religion and sentiments. Good governance should rather be a yardstick. Now they will say Fashola and Buhari are Muslims! Other countries have reached their goals, we are still trying to set goals in Nigeria. Oshiomhole is a No, apart from his rascality which I saw as a plus towards weeding edo state of its looming backwardness, judging from his performance at NLC, he has failed in almost every area. Please, I employ all well meaning lovers of Edo state, indigene and non indigenes to come and carefully analyse the situation in the state. Firstly. Fashola who would have been the best candidate even for the Presidency is rule out because he is muslim. It can't be a Muslim/muslim. Altho I as a christian don't mind, but according to Karl marx "religion is the opium of the people" and in Nigeria religion has a big role to play in politics, Ameachi a gud running mate but has kind of soiled his image in rivers and have created too many enemies. The worst mistake in politics is being enemies with the president. So his state is divided. He can't get 70percent support, Fayemi? Well not so much details about him. Might just be the running mate. Oshiomole has edo state behind him, doesn't have much political enemies, can pull crowd and vibrant. If it was his 1st term as governor wudva pulled the whole edo state but he haven't really worked this 2nd term besides he may be scared to step down as governor , due to the fact that his term haven't elapsed yet. What if "they" lose the presidency ? The candidate that really wants is bad is Amaechi.

amaechi is a loose cannon and doesn't have the political sagacity and temperament to navigate crisis like fashola does. he talks 'anyhow' and will do just that if he at any point has some misunderstanding with his leader...so he's a big 'no - no' for me. especially as he didn't do much during his 2nd tenure as governor: too busy abusing goodluck and patience jonathan! unlike his first tenure when he worked really hard.

Without being sentimental, Fashola is well rooted and can't succumb to pressure. I prefer Fashola but Buhari will pick Ameachi as his running pet to gain the votes of South East.
Amachie/ Oshiomole. A bit confusing really. Would have said 100% Amachie but since he felt out with GEJ and the people of rivers, not sure if he's still loved my his people. Fayemi is a big NO. Fashola is the best running mate APC can produce considering his pedigree and political weight in southwest and even across the nation but his religion is playing against him as he's a Muslim like Buhari. Abiola and Kingibe won with the Muslim/Muslim ticket in 1993 but Nigeria now, a Muslim/Muslim ticket wouldn't produce a governor in some northern states let alone Nigeria base on religion sentiment.
Amaechi is from south south which is GEJ stronghold and River state precisely won't vote a Buhari/Amaechi ticket in great numbers. Amaechi isn't even considered a rational politician nationally, he's a political tout considering he's recent statement that APC won't be seeking a judicial redress if they should lose the general election. Here is Amaechi who's government is a benefactor of judicial action saying APC won't be seeking judiciary, he said instead of judicial redress APC will stage a parallel government if they lose the general election. In a civilized and matured democracy he Amaechi won't be taken serious.
Oshiomole pedigree speak for itself, right from his days at the Nigeria Labour Congress to his reign as the Edo state governor he has be viewed and seen from across the nation and outside as a democrcy builder. He's a good choice but not sell-able nationwide considering he's from South south GEJ stronghold amd Edo state which PDP has one of the brains behind it recent success in person of Tony Anieh (PDP BOT chairman). Edo state down to the electorates is divided between APC and PDP which makes Buhari/Oshiomole ticket a gamble.
Fayemi for now has an edge above the other three in quote, he's from the southwest APC stronghold and unlike Fashola he's a Christian. But one tend to wonder if Fayemi is worth the ticket if Governor Fayose can win him Fayemi at Ekiti state gubernatorial poll even when he Fayemi was the incumbent governor during the election.
GEJ will be coasting to victory with a large margin of votes if APC gamble on who becomes Buhari's running mate, am happy APC is staging a great opposition but I don't see a Buhari presidency in 2015 to 2019.

Fashola would be a better mate looking at his achievements governing lagos state and the hype he has earned from lagosians and his fellow governors..but the conundrum he won encounter is that, the eastern part and southern part won't be pleased with the presidential regime considering the fact the previous government chairmaned by olu segue obasanjo gad a westerner as the head and a northerner as an assistant and the present government been held by a southerner and a northerner his assistant..so the easteners would want a role in the presidential race this time and we all know that absolute power corrupts,in the sense that no body or rather no region would want to step down for another regarding the diversity in ethnicity and regionality..but the question should be who would want to be dormant or be a house boy to someone he knows he is better than in the person of oshiomole..he wouldn't want to be a 2nd man because he knows he can do better as th headman..as for fayemi he said be erased from the options..Rotimu would be a Good choice but he claims to be calm but he isn't, he's going to end up like Atiku during the regime of obasanjo..if Amaechi has no regard for the current president just as a governor..i can't imagine how beastly he would become as a vice president..i will just advice the APC to thread safely and choose a manageable person,manageable in the sense that none of the running mate is a butterfly..caution should be applied when endorsing any bomb the follow candidates..

I would prefer choosing a VP base on performance rather than Sentiments and permutations. I'm a christian but I need change so badly that I pray for the likes of Fashola or Amaechi to emerge, these ones have got good visions,fearless and innovative in style of governance. His prowess as a politician is unbeatable . Dr. Fayemi is an intellectual, no doubt. His contribution as the Chairman of APC Convention Planning Committee is credible and overwhelming. Fashola is the best running mate APC can produce considering his pedigree and political weight in southwest and even across the nation but his religion is playing against him as he's a Muslim like Buhari. Abiola and Kingibe won with the Muslim/Muslim ticket in 1993 but Nigeria now, a Muslim/Muslim ticket wouldn't produce a governor in some northern states let alone Nigeria base on religion sentiment.
Amaechi is from south south which is GEJ stronghold and River state precisely won't vote a Buhari/Amaechi ticket in great numbers. Amaechi isn't even considered a rational politician nationally, he's a political tout considering he's recent statement that APC won't be seeking a judicial redress if they should lose the general election. Here is Amaechi who's government is a benefactor of judicial action saying APC won't be seeking judiciary, he said instead of judicial redress APC will stage a parallel government if they lose the general election. In a civilized and matured democracy he Amaechi won't be taken serious.
Oshiomole pedigree speak for itself, right from his days at the Nigeria Labour Congress to his reign as the Edo state governor he has be viewed and seen from across the nation and outside as a democrcy builder. He's a good choice but not sell-able nationwide considering he's from South south GEJ stronghold amd Edo state which PDP has one of the brains behind it recent success in person of Tony Anieh (PDP BOT chairman). Edo state down to the electorates is divided between APC and PDP which makes Buhari/Oshiomole ticket a gamble.
Fayemi for now has an edge above the other three in quote, he's from the southwest APC stronghold and unlike Fashola he's a Christian. But one tend to wonder if Fayemi is worth the ticket if Governor Fayose can win him Fayemi at Ekiti state gubernatorial poll even when he Fayemi was the incumbent governor during the election.
GEJ will be coasting to victory with a large margin of votes if APC gamble on who becomes Buhari's running mate, am happy APC is staging a great opposition but I don't see a Buhari presidency in 2015 to 2019.

Fashola would be a better mate looking at his achievements governing lagos state and the hype he has earned from lagosians and his fellow governors..but the conundrum he won encounter is that, the eastern part and southern part won't be pleased with the presidential regime considering the fact the previous government chairmaned by olu segue obasanjo gad a westerner as the head and a northerner as an assistant and the present government been held by a southerner and a northerner his assistant..so the easteners would want a role in the presidential race this time and we all know that absolute power corrupts,in the sense that no body or rather no region would want to step down for another regarding the diversity in ethnicity and regionality..but the question should be who would want to be dormant or be a house boy to someone he knows he is better than in the person of oshiomole..he wouldn't want to be a 2nd man because he knows he can do better as th headman..as for fayemi he said be erased from the options..Rotimu would be a Good choice but he claims to be calm but he isn't, he's going to end up like Atiku during the regime of obasanjo..if Amaechi has no regard for the current president just as a governor..i can't imagine how beastly he would become as a vice president..i will just advice the APC to thread safely and choose a manageable person,manageable in the sense that none of the running mate is a butterfly..caution should be applied when endorsing any bomb the follow candidates..

I would prefer choosing a VP base on performance rather than Sentiments and permutations. I'm a christian but I need change so badly that I pray for the likes of Fashola or Amaechi to emerge, these ones have got good visions,fearless and innovative in style of governance. Nigerians need to grow above religious and regional sentiment to move forward. I have always said this, Fashola is currently leading both Christians and Muslims in Lagos State like wise Ameachi In River State and they are all living peacefully

Would have definitely preferred Gov. Babatunde Fashola but he is a Muslim. From time memorial, it has always been 1 Xtian 1 Muslim as president and VP. Gov. Rotimi Ameachi is indeed a gallanto. .. His prowess as a politician is unbeatable . Dr. Fayemi is an intellectual, no doubt. His contribution as the Chairman of APC Convention Planning Committee is credible and overwhelming. Hence, I will prefer Dr. Fayemi. Nevertheless, all the elites aforementioned are credible but my choice is Dr Kayode Fayemi
