Day 2 of Blackberry Passport Giveaway! Win two more phones

That yesterday's method of winning this Blackberry Passport phones will not work at all o..lol. Who's going to read all 6,000+ comments and pick two winners? Nah! We are changing the method of winning and I am the one picking the winners this time...in fact from now on...:-). (winners from day 1 will be picked from the first 200 comments).

So two people will win Blackberry Passport today but I don't want random selection with this. I want two LIB readers who really deserve it to win it. Plus you will be coming to see me to collect this phone, because I'd really like see some of my readers face to face and say thank you...:-)

So LIB readers, help me pick two names of LIB commenters you think deserve this phone. Minus the ones getting the 100k o. Let's spread the love....:-). And also suggest ways you think we should give it out for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. All the best

The uniqueness of the blackberry messenger makes it stand out from other phones out there. Another good feature is the internet explorer. Whenever you open a webpage, you can still go back to it even after you must have left it to do other things, and still meet your page open, unlike other devices that will automatically close the page in view once you exit the screen. Also the ability to navigate from one application to another simultaneously is another outstanding feature I like about it. The overwhelming part was when I upgraded from a BB curve to BB bold, I was skeptical that my entire data would be gone because the phone could not pass booting stage and was told I would lose my data. But alas, my contacts and every other thing came back, why? Because I had blackberry backup plus protection.Cos of this alone, I backup my data once in a week. In all I respect the extraordinary nature of blackberry, even with the new phones in the market. None has been able to equal its uniqueness. Do I just like it? yes I do. Cheers

Wow cool...,been waiting for a platform where I could write something like this.....Blackberry is a phone I had been longing for since it came out then buzzing around.....Lol...It was even on my prayer request then..,I guess that's how I got my bold4....Have been using this bold4 for like 3 years even after people stopped buzzing about blackberry, very durable and long lasting..,I think it has the best OS even if bold 4's OS is kinda primitive...The BBM is second to none .,Obviously the subscription is very affordable.... #winks...,The apps hardly crash too..,unlike all these other new OS....Even all the people I told to get a blackberry after complaints of crash and all that are thanking me now....Finally..,its easily operated and you can get access to different apps on your blackberry world....I guess no other phone has the red blinking light too, very sleek a phone....Lol unique!!.and maybe its my battery cos it lasts longer than usual.......and it never dissapoints me for my LIB...,and easily accessible to instant messangers and social networks24/7 ,twitter ,whatsapp, facebook, youtube e.t.c...Every good thing always have the bad
side...,I guess mine is just the hanging of a thing and I think its my low OS....Love you Linda...#Team blackberry till the second coming....#bless!!! Tifaemmanuel@gmail.com

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT BLACKBERRY

(1) The Blackberry HUB: This is one of the reasons i like BlackBerry, in here all your communications and notifications are centrally gathered. It does not just notify you of an incoming communication, the Hub also allows you to take an action like comment, reply, delete and more. Unlike an Android device in which you have to tap every notification, open it in its corresponding App to see it fully and then take an action. With the BlackBerry hub, you could simply click on the search icon and you find anything in any conversation in less than a second.
Peeking into the Hub made easy, in which you could simply slide your finger up from the lower bezel of the device, and there all your communications put together for your easy access in your Blackberry Hub.

(2) Easy Unlock: Here is another reason i like BlackBerry, especially the Blackberry 10, Android devices now use a power/unlock button to wake the device up, which this was nice to have back in 2010, when physical buttons were normal and phones were smaller. Which made the top or side buttons easy to reach. Its no longer the case!.
BlackBerry 10 made a difference in its unlock pattern, whereby you simply slide your finger from bottom bezel of the device towards the top of the screen and your phone is unlocked. The Gesture is simple and intuitive, its also smooth and sensitive enough to be triggered by your finger but not inside a pocket or a bag.

(3) Time Shift in camera: also part of the reasons I like BlackBerry, the time shift on Blackberry 10, can be described as a mix of Samsung's best photo and best face in one. Basically when the mode(time shift) is activated on the blackberry 10, the device captures five frames before and five frames after you press the screen, along with the middle frame. You can then pick the best photo. Whats even better is that if your photo involves people, you can select the best facial expressions for each persons from any of the eleven frames along with the best background. The software merges your choice together to create a perfect picture.

(4) Great Keyboard: The only reason I like BlackBerry on this aspect is that, you could easily switch to symbols keyboard with one swipe, talking about the new versions of blackberries,. This is lot more fluid to me than finding the symbol button and clicking it.
It quite welcomed in countries like Lebanon, where typing transliterated Arabic requires a lot of numbers to replace the missing phonetical letters in the latin alphabet. You simply swipe, find the number and continue with the rest of your word. It simple, fast and lot less disruptive than locating a small button and pressing it, or long pressing it in a letter to get to the number.

(5) Thoughtfulness of the developers: This is the last of my reasons why I like BlackBerry. Is that when entering your password, the keyboard automatically adds a number row on top of the letters. Tiny details like this tells you or makes you realize how thoughtful the developers are, because, most secure passwords are letters plus number based. So it makes lot of sense to have a number row ready when entering a password.

Conclusion: i hope with all this i have been able to pass across the reasons i like BlackBerry and proved myself worthy of owning one of your BlackBerry passport. Thank you and God bless.

Hi Linda, I suggest u give the phones to selfless contributors on lib. For example, people that send in stories and pictures of emergency news. They have helped most of us escape danger zones. You could also ask questions on BB history. Such as, the founder of BB,CEO of BB etc.

BLACKBERRY PHONES ARE BETTER THAN ANY OTHER PHONES BECAUSE:-
The apps are easy to install and remove - The media center on the phone – ringtones, videos and pictures; you can change the picture on your themes. Themes are easy to install - the theme of the device window or operating system. You can generally find these free at forums like eveek or pin stack. Email features are great - pretty positive you can have at least three email accounts going directly to your phone. The internet is pretty quick for a phone compared to my prior phone. The memory card is easy to put in - just pull the battery and flip the little mechanism put the card in and flip it back in place with the little secure clamp and your ready to go. You can charge your phone via car charger, USB to computer or the av adapter into the wall. Voice recorder , call log where you can see the history of the person who called you; voice dailing feature; calendar where you can schedule your appts. The text features are good. The GPS device works quite well. Password keeper, Instant messaging apps from AIM to AOL, Facebook & MySpace Apps. The email on a Blackberry is second to none. The calendar is easy to use and you can sync your email and calendar with your computer. Google maps, facebook app, myspace app, gmail are available. Camera on the phone allows you to send a picture via email to someone else. If you like a full QWERTY go with the curve, if you want to txt fast with one hand go with the Pearl, it is easy to get used to either. I THINK BLACKBERRY PHONES ARE UNDOUBTEDLY THE PHONES IN THE MARKET, TRUST ME.

i think everybody deserve to get the phone, because we are all doing the same thing reading and commenting on your blog, even the 100k you gave to some set of persons, you think are exceptional is wrong to some extent linda, because they write on every new topic you post does not mean they are the most loyal or ever present on your blog. share the phone equally base on luck.

my suggestion
1. everybody should comment just once, ones you post twice the person is disqualify, maybe 1st to comment and 200th to comment per day. winner will be base on luck

Why i love blackberry.

Blackberry product line has a mobile computing device which improves its efficiency as well as incorporating personal digital assistants functionality. its greatest asset is its operating system which is designed to allow for the use of multiple applications at the same time without too much loss of functionality. Security in everything we do is very paramount; blackberry creates this environment with the use of its own server and support for Microsoft Exchange Server
Blackberry is very suitable with businesses especially those that run on windows based networks because they have integrated email software. Making their word processing and document creation handy for business men and women.
it also incorporates and enables data scheduling into its functionality.
Blackberry creates a forum for video
creation/shooting, picture taking and fast receipt and sending of messages via its inbuilt chat pages
Many also come with in built MP3 players as well as internet radio. it is truly a multimedia device and i love it.

As a budding journalist I have had to interview so many persons on record either face-to-face or via telephony, also accompanying it with photographs. This mean I had to buy a camera and a recorder, which was way higher than my pocket could afford. And at this moment I was also planning to get a new phone to replace my old one.
Getting a recording device, a camera, and a new phone for me was way to expensive. So I had to plan for months. Thank goodness I heard of blackberry mobile, very cost effective and quality. I fought it hard within myself to shift paradigm from android to blackberry. I guess it was because of the general norm that has eaten deep into minds creating a stereotype about the blackberry mobile. Any way I broke the jinx and I am so happy I did break that jinx by buying myself a blackberry mobile, a highly secure mobile phone that has a Strong narrow focus on a customer making you feel on top of the world. With my blackberry, I was able to record, take quality pictures that can be used in the press and at the same time function as my mobile phone. All I wanted I found in it.
Have you ever stopped to wonder why there is the craze for blackberry mobile? Some might say it is because of its affordability. Actually they are not totally wrong anyway, it is a very affordable mobile phone. The reason for the craze for a blackberry phone is because every customer to blackberry is worth more than an extra naira, instead a new friend, brother, sister, and family who is shown much care of existence through it strong narrow focus.
The primary competitive advantage is its very secure mobile phones. The company embellishes its phones with secure encrypted network that allows sending emails between phones without possibility of stealing the information. This became the USP (unique selling proposition) of Blackberries and was a very attractive feature for corporates and governments that other phones didn’t have. As a result, BlackBerry became a major choice for people and governments.
Unlike other mobile phones and smartphones companies, BlackBerry tries to focus narrowly on a customer. The result is a more focused approach to satisfying the needs of this customer, something that others rarely do.
One decisions I have taken as a person that I live to celebrate is buying a blackberry mobile. It is very durable, flexible, affordable, and enjoyable. Get yourself a blackberry mobile and be merry.

Reasons why I love the Black Berry Phone

). Great Keyboards – BlackBerry keyboards are pretty flexible and of great help for fast texting without errors. The keyboards feel way better than touch type. It’s like, you can carry grocery in one hand and text on the other!! Not so easy with touchies eh?
2). Variety in Styles – Frankly speaking, one gets bored of the same old block style. Be it the Samsung Galaxy S5 or the iPhone 5, it’s the same style. With BlackBerry however, you have several unique form factors to choose from – Full QWERTY (Bold/Curve), QWERTY Slider (Torch 9800/9810), Full Touchscreen (Torch 9850/9860 and Z3/Z10), Suretype (Pearl 3G) and QWERTY Flip (Pearl Flip). A style for everyone.
3). Can Be Used Anywhere – An unlocked BlackBerry can be used on almost any carrier around the world, so you are not limited to a few specific carriers.
4). Easy Charging – All new BlackBerry phones use a standardize Micro-USB connector for charging and synchronization.
5). International Roaming – Because BlackBerry supports international carriers, international roaming is not an issue. However, be careful with this as the roaming charges from your carrier might be a little outrageous.
6). Unlimited Wi-Fi Calling – If the BlackBerry runs on T-Mobile USA, it offers unlimited Wi-Fi calling from any corner of the world.
7). Expandable Memory – Fit in as many gigabytes as you want! With flexible memory card options, you don’t have to be limited to phone sets that have a set amount of internal memory.
8). Smooth Multitasking – Oh yes. You can browse and answer messages at the same time. Multi-tasking is smooth and flexible in the Blackberry.
9). BlackBerry Messenger – Before WhatsApp, Viber, and all the other new messaging applications arrived the BlackBerry Messenger was king. Many of its features were copied by its competitors and it is still the most secured messaging app on the market. Best of all, it’s FREE!!!
10). Peer to Peer Technology – Even the older BlackBerry devices allow seamless peer-to-peer communication!
11). Security – There is no debating this one. BlackBerry makes the highest secured mobile phones in the world. There is a reason why the White House uses them and does not allow the President to switch even though he insist on ditching his Blackberry.
12). Email – Simply put, none of BlackBerry’s competitors have been able to match the effectiveness of Blackberry’s distinguished email system.
26). Employee Tracking – Most will probably dislike this one, but for employers there is no other device that provides the myriad of options found on the BlackBerry for employee tracking.

Blackberry has this unique style, they are all special and unique in different ways /forms .. Its more like the phone that keeps on giving. There is always so much more to look forward to when the next version comes into the market. When it finally arrives I'm never dissapointed and blackberry passport has been able to attest to that fact. The fact that you chat with thousands of people at the same time is amazing , picture quality is top notch and the style is always a knockout. I'm a believer and I always will.. I am writing this not only because there is a price to be won but because I like discussing IT. I'm a tech Savvy

My candid opinion and experience

The moment I acquired my first blackberry several years back it made rubbish out of my highly placed symbian smart phone. BB is a smart phone that is so easy to use yet providing you with a variety of productivity tools. I have used most of the curve series over the years.
What I like most –
No other Mobile OS provides you with as much security as a blackberry. You don't need antivirus or some sort of security application. The encryption and decryption technology is compared to none. Data compression is also very great and very unique. One of the very interesting unique features I love so much was the robust customization of different alerts notification for different applications (you could set number of vibrations and alerts). I have not seen that on any other platform. There are so many other distinctive features, BBM, BB id, bb protect ,bb app world, bb email push technology etc.
As a tech savvy I have tested other platforms, I still maintained my bb as my main phone with my main phone line and major apps on it. My other phone was more or less a game console (lol) while bb remained my major phone and i have currently used the life out of it. Lol

I would be so excited to upgrade to the new bb passport so I can enjoy the new feeling and also let my android addict friends know what they are missing .

I would start by saying blackberry is an intelligent phone that satisfies both my needs and my wants. In the past I have used various blackberries ranging from the Curve3,Bold2,Bold4,Torch(9860),Bold5(9900) and now the Q10 and I can boldly beat my hands on my chest and say Blackberries has never disappointed. Firstly with the Black berry Messenger Facility (BBM) that is simply incredible connecting me to my Family and Friends at any time of the day whether I am within Nigeria or outside. The browser allows me to download and upload PDF files in little or no time and also download Pictures, Videos and Music’s. My Blackberry also allows me transfer pictures and music from my device to another with ease using the Bluetooth facility. It’s amazing that even with the cheapest blackberry phone I can take photos, play music, record videos and also use the instant messaging, email messaging and web browsing functions. Blackberries are easy to use and understand, very durable, has a fast browser, quality camera, friendly, affordable the list goes on .Also every Blackberry device has a unique hexadecimal identification number (PIN) assigned to it that cannot be changed manually. Even when my phone is charging with the bb red light indicator I know I have either missed a call or received a message without even checking my phone. Even with the recent availability of BBM on other none blackberry phones the appearance of the BBM app on a blackberry is still top notch. I am a very deep sleeper but with the blackberry alarm clock I get out of bed everyday just in time for school. The Blackberry app world provides me with amazing and out of this world app. Blackberry is a wireless hand held device that has 768 MB system memory, and 8 GB of on-board storage and also has a compartment for an SD chip. Blackberry is one of the safest devices and will remain to me the Hottest Phones of all time!!. Did I mention it is also sleek .The Internet subscription is really affordable unlike android phones that leave scars on ones pockets as they are both expensive to purchase and equally expensive to maintain. Blackberry is also a very good phone for a person always on the move as you can easily connect to the Wi-Fi and still stay connected with friends and family. When i go to buy a phone I choose a phone that serves me best and is light on my pocket (affordable) that’s why I always choose BLACKBERRIES. I can easily say owning a blackberry is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. :D

asking lib readers to pick is nothing different from the method you used earlier...
picking from the first 200 is also not the best ,have always been commenting like forever yet I don't see my comment .I dunno whether it is approved or not.
be fair with your judgment..not the same category of people should be winning every time, there are more dedicated fans out there.

I THINK BLACKBERRY PHONES ARE UNDOUBTEDLY THE PHONES IN THE MARKET, TRUST ME.

a name to my heart, its held so dearly
whenever the name comes on
i look at my palm, a device i use on and on
from curve to bold
files easy and fast to download
i was still amazed at its 3G
then on my torch, i experienced 4G
wow, i couldnt help but shout it
with blackberry i cnt miss a single tweet
with so many breathtaking features
best part you use all without issues
what i love most is its flexibility, portability and ability to fit into my pocket
then, its network that rocks faster than a rocket
its unique messenger and facebook
a feature you can never overlook
my social network friends call me handsome
all thanks to my camera that is so awesome
talk of my video camera
its like a movie showing in a cinema
i cnt help but fall inlove with its touchscreen
all thanks to blackberry and its team.
this little writeup
is taught me by an educative blackberry app
and inspired by my blackberry torch2 device.

The blackberry is becoming the phone for independent thinkers and non- conformist, which is a whole lot “cooler” than using other devices like everyone else
What I like most about the blackberry.…..
-The red indicator light which always keeps me notified on any instant message.
-The physical keyboard which makes responds to messages very fast.
-The blackberry email system and so much more

Lin Lin, I read LIB all d time but commenting takes so much hassle. Currently writing from my office. Lol. Most times you don't post my comment or reply my mails. I would nominate Angie Cape and myslf. I chose myslf b'cos all my phones have been BlackBerry even when they get stolen or get spoilt I replace with a bb. The phone does "IT" for me. Also I would be handing down my current BlackBerry as a Christmas gift to a relative though I'm yet to replace but b'cos I had already promised I need to fulfil and I don't wanna miss being online here and also with friends and family. I hope with these few points of mine, i've been able to touch your soft spot nwayi oma. :D Jstcallmeada@yahoo.com

The term BlackBerry refers to a line of wireless handheld devices and services designed and marketed by BlackBerry Limited, formerly known as Research In Motion Limited (RIM). The first BlackBerry device, an email pager, was released in 1999. The most recent BlackBerry devices are the Z3, Z30, Z10 and the newly released Passport. The Z3, Z30 and Z10 were announced on February 2014, September 2013 and January 2013 respectively. The user interface varies by model; most had featured a physical QWERTY keyboard, while newer generations have relied on a multi-touch screen and virtual keyboard. Which is the part I love most?

I love BlackBerry devices due to the fact that they can record video, take photos, play music with ease and at a fast rate. They also provide functions such as web-browsing, email messaging, instant messaging, and the multi-platform BlackBerry Messenger service which is the most interesting part.

It was one of the major smartphone vendors until 2012. The consumer BlackBerry Internet Service is available in 91 countries worldwide on over 500 mobile service operators using various mobile technologies. As of September 2013, there were eighty-five million BlackBerry subscribers worldwide.
Everything about blackberry is unique and can be used anywhere in the world.

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT MY BLACKBERRY - I like dragging the back arrow in the lower left corner to get me straight back to the first level folder or forum. I might be several levels deep into the forums of CB10 and one swipe returns me to the first level. Same with the File Manager and other apps. It's small but it shows some thoughtfulness by the BB10 folks who seem to appreciate that a lot of little things get you moving easier and faster.

The Blackberry passport is so unique that you can connect to it via a PC, MAC, TABLET, or iPad. I Love It! Blackberry has carved a niche for them; the new release "Blackberry Passport" is a device that allows productivity, business orientated, and serves a symbol of quality. The device is exactly the size of an international passport just as the name implies, the first product lunch under the new dynamic BlackBerry CEO John Chen. The screen quality and stylish keypad are at par. The device preloaded operating system is 10.3 that comes with this fantastic feature called "Blackberry Blend", it gives users access to all contents and messages on their phone from a desktop computer located elsewhere.200,000 BlackBerry Passport was sold two days after its lunch, the device attracted both business professionals and tech savvy people. The keyboard doubles as touchpad and can also be used as a mouse, safe and secure network, a fantastic camera that makes pictures crisp with full color, high quality outdoor visibility, HD sound quality, and long battery life. Blackberry Passport is often described as Life Partner or iPhone Killer by many. The phone is a productivity monster, make sure you get one.

The moment I saw the BlackBerry Passport, I was engulfed in an ocean of love for its amazing sleek features; the large touch screen, the viewing and reading experience, I love the ability to be able to interact completely eyes and hands free. I love the beautiful responsive browser, makes it so cool for business. The BlackBerry Passport is deserving of my attention and adds a great sense of style to my persona. It would be a whole new experience for me. Oluwatosin Sealsdollarbills@gmail.com

Please Linda I will really love to win this phone I tried and tried commenting to win the giveaways last week staying on the internet and refreshing your page every second just so that i will be the first to comment but i didnt win anything. I tried commenting yesterday as well for almost an hour and even though i was laughed at i still tried but i couldnt comment because it was blocked. I have gone to computer village twice today just trying to fix my phone that has been giving me problems for over two months and after going there i still have to manage the phone coz its still giving me problems. I will like to win this phone because the specs makes it top every other phone and i will also like to communicate easily with others without hitting my phone and throwing it on the floor just so that it will work. This phone will serve as a computer and mobile phone for me because the upgrades on the phone makes it unbeatable. Please Linda abeg do christmas for me with this phone. Cooyutevanny@gmail.com

I'd be really honored to get that thank you and hear you say "CHOI" in person!

Plus, the Blackberry Passport unlike the cash giveaway should not be an all comers' affair. A device like that should be given ONLY to people who know what it is capable of.
I have never been in the running for the cash giveaways but this phone I assure you'll be happy in my hands!

Please Linda i have trid posting like a hundred tims since yesterday but i dont know what is happening. Abeg pls i really want to win this phone because Blackberry has always been number one to me and then this Passport just tops every other phone with the upgraded specs and it will make life so much easier for me. Presently i have to hit my phone or throw it on the floor so that it will work and that is very embarrassing. This Blackberry Passport will serve two purposes for me a laptop and a mobile phone especially because of the storage space. It will make communication for me less stressful and ao much easier without getting frustrated. Please linda i didnt win last week giveaway even though i tried and tried so please abeg do Christmas for me with this phone. Plsssssss.
