Are You a Fashion Designer? Let's Give you a Platform

After three successful editions of the Africa Fashion Week in London, the organisers brings the train of hugely successful show to Nigeria to give talented Nigerian designers whose circumstances are far from the international fashion scene a chance to show their creativity to a global audience, a platform that will create visibility, awareness and networking opportunities for them. Continue...

According to Ronke Ademiluyi, the founder of AFW London, organisers of AFW Nigeria, ‘AFW Nigeria believes in emerging talents and our core aim is providing visibility platforms for new talents, who would otherwise not have the means to gather national attention and awareness of their own.’ She states further that ‘she believes for creativity to grow there needs to be a platform that celebrates supports and contributes to its growth. We want Nigerian designers to take advantage of this opportunity and register’

Designers who believe their works have what it takes to compete in market place and hope to grab a fair share of international market are invited to exhibit their designs at AFW Nigeria which will take place May 17 to 18 at Intercontinental Hotel.

Contact info: Application forms are out for AFWN, if you are a designer interested in showing your collection on the AFWN runway, kindly send an email to info@africafashionweeknigeria.com . If you've got what it takes to be On AFWN… then REGISTER now at www.africafashionweeknigeria.com or Phone: 07088800866 08089915450 and/ or Email: info@africafashionweeknigeria.com.

The AFW Nigeria will showcase new, established and veteran designers as part of this spectacular fashion week showcasing decades of Nigeria fashion on the runway and highlighting the rich heritage of the Nigerian fashion culture.

The AFWN which is being organised in collaboration with Abiola Okoya of Mibod Global Resourses is produced by Sola Oyebade of Mahogany Productions and Toyin Lawani of Tiannah's styling academy.

Notable personalities that will grace the event are Chief Folusho Alakija, Sis Abba Folawiwo, Chief Molade Okoya, Senator Daisy Danjuma, Hon. Abike Dabiri and other notable personalities.

For reasons best known to Linda, she's refused to approve my comments..
I'm not really bothered.. I really aint.. If not for anything, pls do approve this.. Thanks!!!

I've been a LIBER for a year and a month now.. Its been a jolly good ride, I must say.
The reason for this, is very simple.

Apart from looking forward to reading new gists, stories.. I look forward to reading some comments from certain people..
Because they reason like me, or, they make really good comments/views and some of their comments is just filled with sense of humor..

Bonario #smiles# I always look forward to his comment.. He made me laugh really hard when he made a comment when Toke finally got married to her husband.. This is one person that doesn't go with the crowd.. I'm not tripping.. Just saying, a young girl really loves his comments..

I miss Prince Charming a lot.. if he aint busy or schooling or working.. I guess he let cyber bullying get to him, cause some sadists just didn't like his comments and his use of vocabularies .. I miss you PC #sad

Bonita and Hilary.. I love you too.. Your comments are just wow.. Bonita is a lady I suppose..

Pls!! Libers when ppl make top comments.. Stop insulting them..
Have read lotta hate comments from ppl to Bonario, Alloy, Onyx.. Drop it!! Its very bad.. Very bad..

But I gotta 'say' this pls..
@ed-dreamz.. I don't hate you, nope!! I can't create anyone, but pls, if you must be at the top comments.. Be really smart. To be truthful, I always skip your comments.. Cause they are senseless.. And when I return, I notice ppl get pissed and then they insult you..
If comments must be on top, pls let it be a 'wow-factor' ..
I would have made this comment on a normal story not here(advert) I'm sorry.. But it won't be seen and I'm not sure you would approve it.. But pls do approve it..
Plsss..
Thanks!!!

Its so funny when people have this idea that having a fashion in the uk will help local designers. REALLY, how many designers who have attended this show has ever had any big western design ask them to come on board to design for them non, whatsoever after the frenzy of the show that's it nothing comes out it , the founder makes all the money from the sponsor and has a good laugh , stupid designer looking for contacts hahaha

its not a good idea that you need to show you designs abroad in order to get recognition which you never really get people to showcase and nothing comes out of the show its just a way of the founder Ronke , popularly known as Rukkies to raise money and recognition for herself, if you know anyone that has participated in the show and has benefitted please say
