Day 2 of Blackberry Passport Giveaway! Win two more phones

That yesterday's method of winning this Blackberry Passport phones will not work at all o..lol. Who's going to read all 6,000+ comments and pick two winners? Nah! We are changing the method of winning and I am the one picking the winners this time...in fact from now on...:-). (winners from day 1 will be picked from the first 200 comments).

So two people will win Blackberry Passport today but I don't want random selection with this. I want two LIB readers who really deserve it to win it. Plus you will be coming to see me to collect this phone, because I'd really like see some of my readers face to face and say thank you...:-)

So LIB readers, help me pick two names of LIB commenters you think deserve this phone. Minus the ones getting the 100k o. Let's spread the love....:-). And also suggest ways you think we should give it out for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. All the best

The first smart phone I used was BB, that was where my love for it started. There are alot of things about BB that make it the best for me as against android.
First is the data rate. BB has the cheapest data u can think of.
Secondly, the BBM. Some wil say that android has it but there is a little difference between that of BB and the regular android. BB is user friendly.
Thirdly, the camera quality. BB camera and graphics is far better than those of android. Sharp images even with those that have low mega pixel camera.
Finally , the outlook mail. This is very important to me because I have to receive my email on my phone even when I'm not on my desk.
In summary, with the above points mentioned, BB wil always be the best phone for me.
Thanks
Chinedu.

It's simple. Everyone interested should drop comment just once, more than one comment should still be counted as one. Then draws should be done
That simple.

No! This is wrong in all honesty. i think you should as a question about blackberry, and randomly pick from the first 500.
How many of your posters will you see, are you aware that some of your posters don't live in Lagos.
Please do not leave this giveaway in the hands of your posters. some people like to post as Anonymous.

I spent most of this week at Blackberry Live and couldn't help but wonder just how badly the smartphone got off track when everyone got so excited about the iPhone and smartphones switched from primarily being a business tool to an iPod with phone capabilities.

Traveling drives this point home for me. After years of refusing to get rid of a 14-inch notebook and often carrying 17-inch notebooks because I need a big screen to work effectively, I've recently been carrying a variety of 11-inch hybrid devices that, though fantastic for taking notes, truly suck when it comes to actually writing something. While the devices I carry are certainly trendy, I have a far harder time getting things done—and I don't see that as a real step in the right direction.

Blackberry Is Better Business Phone

The Department of Defense trials of Android, iOS and BlackBerry devices also drove this home for me. Government agencies are under a ton of pressure and oversight. Buying phones that favor entertainment would likely be career suicide for most bureaucrats, which is why they favor the business-focused BlackBerry.

Since LG and Samsung are moving to market solutions that mirror BlackBerry's protected work partitioning, I believe these solutions should be favored over others. In the end, though, there's only one platform designed to be dependable for business: BlackBerry.

If the goal of your smartphone deployment is to give employees a dependable device, then take a cue from the DoD and place the BlackBerry high on the list. Your job might actually depend on this phone, and no cool app, game or movie will mitigate that one Blackberry advantage.

I will be happy if I could get the newest Blackberry: Blackberry Passport, Even though I'm commenting late.

Blackberry is a user friendly phone designed and manufactured by Blackberry limited Formerly known as (RIM) one of the most prominent feature of a blackberry is the BBM. BBM is a definite asset which can be used to exchange messages with other blackberry users. BBM can carry on real time conversation, chat with a group and send unlimited number of messages. BlackBerry had other distincts features such as a great keyboard, it can be used anywhere, easy charging; all recent blackberry use an ordinary usb cable to charge. In conclusion, blackberry is relatively inexpensive and productive.

Blackberry is affordable, durable and has some sleek designs, available for individuals of various classes in the society, has tariff plans to helps even the low earning individual be in touch with people and have access to information without having to make calls- helps the business man to carry out his transactions and communicate with partners easily, helps to celebrate/honour partners/friends/loved ones by putting their pictures for display. Even in times of low cash one can still communicate and browse. I think the introduction of blackberry to our market has made the society an all inclusive one and has helped to hasten dissemination of information and accessibility to it.

Before I bought BlackBerry I v always seen it as a luxury rather than a necessity, maybe because of d way people portrait it. However after I became a BlackBerry user, I realized it worths more than its price. It is a NEED and not a WANT. What I love and cherished most out of the one million features a BlackBerry possess is the camera and video. It gives excellent images, high quality videos and above all it is durable, reliable and it is a product that will forever be at is peak. Kudos!

If You are looking for elegance, style, a whole dose of mobile security and a dash of class then the blackberry phone is your phone.

I Consider myself a young upwardly mobile professional, hence the pioneering 'push mail' Technology of the Blackberry then blew me away, my emails received, read and replied on the Go! the continual devotion of time and energy to data protection, seamless contact recovery and the yet to be matched instant message facilities (Delivery mode, emoticons and the new features of timed messages/pictures)is highly innovative and user friendly

Back in the Day, i, like most Blackberry users did not mind trudging around daily with our chargers, yes it wasnt the most convenient thing to do (try fitting a blackberry charger into the front pocket of your snug jeans) but we did it smiling anyways .....Why? Because the 'Value' the Blackberry gives us in communication (official or socially) was unparalleled. Now i dont have to pack a charger around anymore because the New Blackberry phones come with batteries that have longer lasting properties,i can go from dusk till dawn on a full charge,My blackberry charger now has its resident permanent on a socket in my room.

Pray tell whats there not to love? Newer and cooler features with fantastic battery life, thats my blackberry please!!
if you want full touch screen features, there are enough models to satisfy you
or is it a blend of the Ol' School physical Keypad and a Touch screen..Q10,Q5,Touch,Some versions of the Bold series....seriously, need i say more?

All these fantastic value come in a study, practical no nonsense shape designed to fit well in the pocket, survive the rigors of daily abuse without BENDING(someone had to say that lol) yet still deliver high speed superior service and function on what i consider a mega subsidized data bundle package in Nigeria, did i mention i can use my phone as a hotspot? i get better value data for data and money for data on the blackberry phone than can be obtained on any other smart phone in Nigeria...and that is a fact

Hence it should not surprise you, that i feel emotion akin to nakedness whenever i am out of the house without my phones, this is not because of the fact that i left my phones behind....Nooooooo, its because i am out without my one touch(secured) device to the world ....its been 7years since this relationship started, watch me write a wonderful love story of i and my blackberry when we clock our silver jubilee

Blackbery.......simply the way to go

I like blackberry because of the indicator light which keeps me constantly notified when I receive messages, missed calls and reminders. Also, the physical keyboard makes it easy to use a blackberry and the shape and style of the phone makes handling a blackberry as easy as ABC. The uniqueness blackberry brings to the mobile phone market cannot be denied. It is suitable for both working class individuals, students and those who like to make the best use of their smartphone.... princessnkem2k5@yahoo.com

Blackberry is a revolution in the world of smartphones, and it woke the consciousness of other smartphone companies, with constant release of better and advanced devices, it keeps the world of digital smartphones constantly on the edge of smart innovations.

It always responds to users’ needs with sleek and optimal user interfaces and other smartphones are playing catch-up; where others are trying, Blackberry triumphs.

And when compared to the quality of service and satisfaction you get from your Blackberry device, you realized it is relatively affordable and the cost of usage is especially fair. Even with a seeming popularity of Android devices, Blackberry still manages to fend-off competitions and continue to dominate the market.

And with the recent introduction Blackberry passport smartphone, it has raises the bar to a whole new level.

And finally, from my knowledge and experience with various Blackberry devices, I know and strongly believe it will constantly remain on top the perking order of the smartphone world.

Basically I like the fact that the blackberry product is unique. Especially the use of ID to download applications. It's very portable and classic.its got different modes therefore each individual can buy whatever they can afford which entails same qualities. Lastly the blackberry product is still very much in line in terms of phone population. - onitoyin61@yahoo.com

Today, the alarm on my blackberry torch, 9800 went off and this really broke my heart. You see, I have a 6 month old and a 2year old, so getting good sleep has just been a dream. Today, they both slept off at the same time, such a miracle, and I decided to catch some sleep, hoping it would be a lonngggg one. Then, my postpartum workout alarm went off , waking every one of us. OMG, whatttt? They never went back to sleep, and there went my life saving nap. Despite this, I forgave my blackberry. Why? This phone will best be described as my soldier. Been by my side the past 3 years. It's been outside my labour rooms 2wice, has grown with my 2year old, has experienced her rough love, being hit, tossed, thrown, scratched etc, but this rugged soldier has remained strong. A broken screen and a few dents have not stopped it from working for me. Everyone tells me the blackberry torch is the strongest ever made, and they are absolutely right, but mine is the strongest of them all, withstanding all weapons fashioned against it. My torch 9800 has helped me share and receive good/life changing news. My bbm display picture has been a board for new babies, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and events. I blog, and this soldier has been part of that, helping me type fast and on the moment, making sharing my post on wordpress easy. When I share my posts to my bbm contacts, I get the best number of views ever. Emails come easy. I have read about the passport model, and it's such a dream phone. Perfect for a media person like me, with great multimedia features, quality camera, fm radio, wide display screen for media interviews and recordings, and the battery life is a blessing. For a mother, cheaper subscription means money saved for food, diapers and all.
I do not know the technicalities of the software, I only can tell the story of my life, with the soldier, my blackberry 9800.  It is most special, because it is a gift from Obi Utom.
Even  I love the soldier, I need a passport this beautiful Christmas. A passport that will give me more access to happenings globally, and help me refresh this season. I hear the passport is one rugged one too. My soldier needs a comrade. To whom it may concern, will you help get him one? Ugo3niti@yahoo.com

Tbh whats not to like about it the sleek design, speed the countless amount of productive apps its durability(the curve 2 was indestructible), the innovative typing technology and as a student the hours of battery life it offers the and best of all its pocket friendly.

For sometime now, I have enjoyed and adored two major features of the BlackBerry, one of which is the server technology that sits between the phone and email system to provide better performance that has led to a higher level of security than other operating systems. The BlackBerry has brought my friends and family closer to me, inshort strangers have become friends, I can travel around the world with them and them with me. The BlackBerry phone is like my personal assistant. In fact it is, helping me plan my work and social life. What more could I ask for?.

Linda,my advices for u on d issue of giving out the blackberry is that everybody should be given equal chances by way of selection base on sensible comments. Rather for you not to be sentimental on this ,I will advice that your selection should be based on LIB readers' intellectual contribution i.e people who make good comment not comment like na waoooo, show this na......etc. Those comment that make sense. And this should be based on Old and New members of LIB reader who has been outstanding with the contributions or comments....owotheprof@yahoo.co

Blackberry has the best email client for the smart phone segment, promotes collaboration via it's messaging client which pioneered messaging. It also has a resounding security and very good user interface. Blackberry phones helps financial management of telephony budget because I may not have call tariff for calling but can communicate effectively via bbm, whatsapp or my email client because of its bundle activation. I believe blackberry is the best communication companion anyone can have.......u2mycase@yahoo.com

What i actually like about blackberry is; The efficiency of the messaging system as well as fluidity of the OS, the fact that the whole screen is one big button on a touch device yet other companies still need a home button, the seamless interaction with the phone just feels right, i love d flash, am not really big on apps so i love to use it's browser for all my stuff instead of getting a dedicated app. So many other reasons but we were asked to gv a short not *winks* talk2annuet@gmail.com

Around this time last year, in the heat of the ASUU strike, Linda Ikeji did an Xmas giveaway, and a pal of mine in OAU won some cash from the gal. I was impressed. Linda has been my blogging inspiration for a while now (about 3 years), and I have been an avid reader of her blog. When the incident of the blog shut down occured, I was one of those who went ahead to raise a campaign for the return of Linda's beloved blog. Now she is back and doing things the better way. Thumbs up Linda, keep the Blogger's fire burning HOT. I wanna win this thing not just for the Device, (because if u call that thing -Blackberry Passport- a phone, u are abusing the capacities) but for the fact that I'll get to meet Linda. It'll be such an honor. My email address is davidinhosnr@gmail.com/d.adesina@student.oauife.edu.ng #GominaDafidi #Talent

I love my blackberry

Firstly, The physical keyboard is still the deal breaker for me, It’s been one of my most loved feature since I started using blackberry. I’ve still never lost a typing race to my friends using Android.
Also I’ve always loved the BlackBerry’s typing shortcuts and the famous BlackBerry end of a sentence shortcut, that’s by hitting the space key twice to make a period, add a space and capitalize the next word.

Secondly, I can easily connect my BlackBerry Q10 to my television with a micro HDMI cable. No need for a complicated set up or extra adapters.

Thirdly, the BlackBerry Hub lets me manage all my conversations, mails, BBM messages, Facebook and twitter updates in a single place. It also enables me to peek into the BlackBerry Hub from anywhere with just a swipe.

Lastly, Blackberry subscription is relatively cheap in Nigeria and also data compression of blackberry saves money too, this makes blackberry smartphones economical.
Nothing beats the utility of RIM’s BlackBerry smartphone. I’ve been a BlackBerry user for some years now.
I believe BlackBerry is still going to be the gold standard when it comes to communication and productivity on smartphones.

SUGGESTION! SUGGESTION! SUGGESTION!...

Okay, I wrote this before but want to make it clearer, plus I feel I should include my email, just in case. Lol! missuniversenigeria@gmail.com

For the three remaining days, I suggest you pick two numbers at random from 1 to 100 and ask LIB readers to guess what numbers you picked, then you pick the first two correct entries. No one should send two different answers or more.

OR...
You pick two numbers at random from 0 to 9 and ask the readers to drop the the last two digits of ONLY one of their mobile lines. Anyone that gets lucky to have the two numbers you picked as the last two digits of their phone number which they gave becomes a winner. You select the first two lucky winners. At the end of the day, they will have to prove that the numbers they gave were actually the last two digits of their own mobile line by providing the full digits and you confirm that it is them by calling, if not, you drop them and pick another winner until you get the genuine winners. It's time we started being disciplined, don't you think? Look out for multiple entries also. And stress that any multiple entry noticed is automatically disqualified.

Meanwhile, one of the Blackberry passports for me for suggesting the idea wouldn't be a bad idea. *wink*

BlackBerry as the name implies can be  likened to  an irresistible berry, a berry you  can't do without once u have a taste. Its a mobile office, the best communication device ever created in the history of man as a result of its unique features like the push mail and the pin unique to each and every BlackBerry users which aids the  pinging system. Its durable, user friendly, it allows multi-tasking whereby you can access as many applications at the same time.
The push mail is a unique system which has capabilities of providing an always on mode in which new mails are  always pushed in by the help of the mobile delivery server while the pinging aspect of BlackBerry is an unbeatable aspect which is one of the reasons why it is widely acceptable among users, is a medium of instant communication far better than other type of messengers.
I remember a couple of years back before the new generation blackberry's rolled out precisely 2003. Back then, it was the likes of the 6230's and 6720's that was more popular, all thanks to MTN that had a well packaged plan specially branded. My brother use to have the 6230 and i loved it then. It has all the features you can ever think of. The qwerty keypad, monochrome, It was a huge success and was known to be an executive/office phone. Back then, the 6230 had a 1gig ram even before other phones ever thought of creating phones with a gig ram. Can you beat that?  Each time a new phone came out, I smile to myself in satisfaction that BlackBerry had gone that road before, as far as I'm concerned, no other phone can beat a BlackBerry device.
Along the line, the more recent model came in ranging from the curve, the bold, the tour, storm and torch including the pearl which is isn't quite popular in this part, to the z series and Q series not to mention the play book to the porsche designs.
BlackBerry is unique in several ways and as such has the power and edge over other competitors. I use a z10 and I bet I can write a prety long journal  on the phone from the dimension to the weight which is 137.5g. It was released in January 2013 and one of the best and unique feature a BlackBerry possess  is the qwerty keypad, the track pad now replaced with the beautiful swipe system plus a snap dragon chipset which is a platform for use in smartphones, smart book and  tablets devices. Its a dual core mobile device and you can practically have office work done even on your BlackBerry mobile device without having to get to the office before you get work done.  We have just two phones in the world and they are the BlackBerry and other phones. BlackBerry has always being a trail blazer and known to  set the pace for other mobile devices. It has a wonderful data package and for this, we the  consumers find it flexible enough and user friendly as far as the data plans are concerned and it's impressive unique look.
I've always looked forward to the passport just like the name implies. Its likened to a passport because of its shape and design. With its three row-keyboard, it can conveniently take up to 10 fingers. Its 16million colours makes its clarity excellently sharp not to talk of its corning gorilla glass 3 known for its thinness, lightness, which protects the glass  and act as damage resistance. Its embedded13MP camera gives an excellent quality picture that makes picture taken looks like real. The latest OS which is the BlackBerry 10 has unimaginable features you can ever find on other mobile device. BlackBerry is worth all the penny.
What more can I say? BlackBerry is the flagship of all mobile phones. In essence, BlackBerry is the BOMB!!!

Blackberry Hardware design and materials are top notch. It has a thoroughly modern OS that's fast, great at multi-tasking and secure. Its QWERTY keyboard is excellent and best physical keyboard out there. It has a very good voice quality.Blackberry and emailing come hand-in-hand.You can depend on Blackberry for emails, for sure.Blackberry's great keyboard comes into play here again, because it is too difficult to type over 400-word email on a touch screen.Other Android phones comes after Blackberry phones in Instant messaging i.e. the BBM.

Around this time last year, in the heat of the ASUU strike, Linda Ikeji did an Xmas giveaway, and a pal of mine in OAU won some cash from the gal. I was impressed. Linda has been my blogging inspiration for a while now (about 3 years), and I have been an avid reader of her blog, but a very nominal and passive one, since most times, my comments may not be seen due to the heavy loads of comments recieved per post.

Blackberry is a internet enabled mobile device that can also access wireless connections, looking at it from the context and platform of mobile and adaptive computing which is a current trend in computing, Blackberry have indeed supported collaborative computing and also sensor networks.it has special features like node mobility, good backup and protect facility(bbprotect) and generally satisfies the IEEE regulations.it also satisfies the principles of context management in handheld devices.

Finally what i enjoy the most in Blackberry is the Branding which has attracted most Africans.

if there is anything to improve, i think what RIM should work on is the power consumption rate.
#go blackberry
#i LOVE That device BB.
