Karen, I am sorry you had to go through such inhumane treatment. When I was in Nigeria, I went shopping for some clothes. I was in my first year in UNILAG. After looking at the top. I decided not to buy. Can you believe, the male store owner grabbed me and wouldn't let me leave. I said excuse me, what are you doing? He said I must buy the item. It was just us two in the store. I managed to drag myself out of the store and the people outside started to gather. Finally, one elderly woman asked what I stole and the guy said I refused to buy an item. That was when all the women yelled at him to let me go. I considered myself lucky. What if he lied and said I was trying to steal. I would have been lynched. An innocent woman mistaken for a thief and killed. This happened almost 11 years ago and I have lived with it. Waiting for the day I get revenge on that heifer. One day!
