Buhari orders all state Govs to settle unpaid salaries of workers in their state

While inaugurating the National Economic Council in the Abuja earlier today, President Buhari charged all the state governors present at the meeting to endeavour to settle the unpaid salaries of civil servants in their states. He asked the state governors to look inwards and find more ways to increase their Internally Generated Revenue...

I honestly don't believe that state governments can't pay worker as a result of paucity of funds but political office holder get more than they deserve. Comrade Adams, pay workers.

The same thing GEJ said to them, look inwards to generate independent fund. Stop capital projects for now and prioritise by paying wages... But it all fell to deaf ears.

Why should ogheni aregbeshola be singled out, after all more PDP states are owing civil servants as well.

Anonymous said...

This Moses must be a fool and an illiterate.Empty vessel. Please use your brain before writing rubbish.

Telling them to pay is not enough. Most of this state's civil services are over staffed, some ministries need to be merged as the are useless but most of this governors are not intelligent enough to know that not to take of reducing the state work force. Buhari is just wasting his time. GEJ said it and it fell on deaf ears and the same will still happen. Until this old men are replaced with intelligent and smart youths as governor, nothing can be done.

Amy said...

They didn't need to wait for him to tell them. They should all try and internally generate enough funds for their states, but no, end of the month they all run to Abuja to collect their state allocations.

The title isn't proper. Buhari has no right nor power to order a constitutionally elected governor to pay salaries. Una dey exaggerate this Buhari of a guy.

That caption is wrong. Buhari cannot order Governors. The states are federating units.
