Speaking on the ban, the state Attorney-general and Commissioner for justice, Ade Ipaye, said the state government was not satisfied with the court ruling and would be appealing it
"We are, of course, not satisfied with that decision of the federal high court looking at the density of Lagos being the highest population in Nigeria. Also speaking, the state Solicitor general, Lawal Pedro said a notice of appeal has been filed and would be sent to the federal high court
This exercise and our sanitation programme in general have made Lagos the envy of other states, many of whom have sent their officials to understudy it. We strongly believe that it is a necessary rule in a society such as ours. We are therefore filing an appeal immediately.” he said

Okay.
I support the appeal. It at least gives people a little time to clean their houses and rest before rushing out the usual Lagos way.
Better o, cos e no go easy o
I understand where both parties come from. One the one hand the court is concerned about the rights of the citizens and on the other, the Lagos state government are concerned that the sanitations would not be adhered to if restriction on movement is not made.
VERY GOOD,FOR THOSE OF US DAT WORKS ON SATURDAY
Waste of time and sheer waste of tax payers money if he proceed wit d appeal. Fashola should not waste his time. Dis time around he is d loser in dis case.
VERY GOOD,FOR THOSE OF US DAT WORKS ON SATURDAY
they had better appeal o. cos me I like d fact that i can rest and do laundry on sanitation. if the restriction is removed, some bosses will capitalise on it to ask their staff to come early to work. when will somebody rest?
I hope the court decision be rescinded. Linda take note!
I know Fashola wont be happy with the ruling
I think the restriction of movement during sanitation exercise is very necessary and should not be banned. Follow on Twitter @darlingng and Instagram @darlingnigeria

Better n gud move jare
If dat ban is lifted, lagosians wnt participate in dat exercise again
This is probably the last show of mass discipline we have. Bad move.
#sanitation is the only time Lagosians come together to do some cleaning. if cancelled, even companies will ask their staff to come to the office then there will be no time ever to do any form of proper cleaning.
#smh – desperados - Trained Snipers (OBJ talked about this) to assassinate opposition during violence that will ensure after GEJ loses? There is also evidence that he (Tinubu) was invited to be part of the Interim Government as a way of dividing us as a prominent member of our party. There is absolutely nothing they cannot do to distract us because they could see that the Presidency is slipping off their hands.

Nigerians aware not discipline. The restrictions is meant to make people serious during sanitation and it has really helped. It could be reduced to 9am though.
Since there is existing law in Lagos State to support this, the judgment is sound and Lagos State again will fail even in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court respectively
