At the end of the day, we alk humans and we want to be kindly treated and respect. Good. The truth is that there a lot of lonely people in the developed world because their way of life is isolatory. The poor old man might have been touched by what a stranger did for him that his kids couldn't!

How kind! I know people make people change but we should try and constantly remind ourselves to be kind to others regardless of what other people have done to us. I know it's easier said than done but we just have to keep trying.
The good we do speaks in our absence and draws the favour of God to locate us.
Some folks might try to downplay it by saying I did so so good and got evil in return; but keep doing good, irrespective of other people's attitude. The reward will come.
