This is simple; some colours actually look different in a lighter background or in a darker background. it's all a function of light, reflection and shadows. So its both blue & black and white & Gold

It's more of perception to me. I see blue and black whereas my colleagues feel it's white and blue. Some even say violet and blue. Obviously, people see things differently.
