Former PDP Chairman Mohammed Bello arrived the Federal High Court Abuja in a wheel chair for his trial in the $2.1 billion arms deal scandal. Bello was arrested in December last year for receiving N600m from the office of the National Security Adviser in the name of Bam properties. The money according to the EFCC is part of the $2.1 billion funds meant for the procurement of arms for the military during the last administration.
Bello was meant to appear before the court last week Wednesday but couldn't due to his health challenge.
