I am not a miracle worker, Do not expect miracles - Buhari

President elect, Muhmmadu Buhari, has asked Nigerians not to expect him to perform miracles once he assumes power come May 29th. Gen Buhari said this while speaking on the war against Boko Haram in an interview with BBC. According to Buhari, the triumph against the sect members would not be immediately achieved once he gets into power but said with cooperation from Neighboring countries and the commitment of the military, the war would be won in a short time

"For five, six years, the Nigerian enforcement law agencies, including the military, couldn’t secure 14 Local Governments. How can I promise miracles when I come? But with the cooperation of our neighbours Cameroon, Chad, Niger and the international community, and the commitment we are going to get from the military, I think it will take us a much shorter time to deal with it”, he said.

The slogan "CHANGE" is a 419/Scam deceptively crafted by Tinubu to make him gain access to the National Treasury & loot it like he did to the Lagos Treasury for the past 16 years unchallenged. Nigerians who blindly voted for change have entered "One-Chance" !!!!!

I have always had my reservations about this man Buhari. already he giving us excuses as to why he wouldn't deliver...this is a man who campaigned on the wheels of flushing out Boko haram and giving us the security that has long eluded us..sadly Jonathan disappointed us to d point of hopelessness...I helped in voting him out and I have no regret, for now..i hope I wldnt...pls Buhari I take God and Allah beg u,just give us power and secure our lives and property...its our constitutional right..is all I ask...

But the APC's inimitable propaganda machine and their overbearing and maniacal supporters had ab initio strenuously projected Buhari as the messiah...
In fact a hopelessly heedless enthusiast of Buhari had charged back at me with "Buhari is the messiah," when I warned him to mellow on his high expectations of the barely literate...
Buahari has so much going for him, hence he has no excuse but to perform...and I mean perform within a four-year deadline...
Why?
1. He has, at least, the solid goodwill of the two biggest ethnic groups (Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba) in the country behind him...
2. He also has the backing of the US/UK rather solidly...
3. Besides, he has a military background that may be useful in whipping everybody into line..
So, I see him, at least, doing well on the economic front, but at a great cost...
I fear for the fate of civil liberties, ie, freedom of conscience, speech, religion, in Nigeria, etc..
And I also fear for the intention of Obama with his unabashedly pushful backing of Buhari's elction...
Would Buhari sell Nigeria to the Obama agenda of homosexualizing and Islamizing the world???
Only time would tell!

Oga, you must perform miracle ooooo. No be wetin you promise? Change na wetin? No be miracle? Oh....so na GEJ be the miracle worker that you guys were expecting miracles from, abi?
In fact, I had to go copy this anonymous blog visitor's comment and paste here bc he (she) hit the nail on the head.
GMB has won, we have heard. Change
has come,
we agree. The Nigerian Lee Kwan Yew
has
arrived. We welcome him. However, we
expect
to see this change PRONTO.
Constant electricity in four years. WAEC
pass rate
should be 90%. In four years. There
should be
no more potholes on our roads. In four
years.
We shouldn't hear of crime. In four
years. There
must be no corruption in ANY sector of
our
public/private lives. The Naira should
gain
grounds against foreign currency(that
one no
favour me but I go still talk am). In four
years.
Fuel price should be N16. In four years.
All of
these and many more. In four years.
To all those who rained abuses on GEJ
and
Patience in the name of campaign, all I
ask is, be
as critical of the incoming government
as u were
of GEJ's. Don't ask us if he's a
magician oooo, after all, GEJ was no
magician either. We will not hear the
excuse that
Nigeria's problems did not start with
Buhari ooo.
We will not hear that change takes time
o. Let
us judge him by the same
yardsticks...after all, what is good for
Nosa, is also good for Musa, abi?
At the same time, we have not
forgotten all the
promises o. Stipends to the poorest
families.
Payment of 'allawee' to unemployed
graduates.
Feeding Nigerian students daily. When
he made
these promises, he knew about the
country's
reserves. He knew that the crude prices
were
falling. He said he would do it, and
Nigerians
believed him.
We should watch carefully. How will he
constitute his cabinet? What will his
body
language be towards bigwigs in his
party that
have been accused of corruption? How
exactly
does he intend to "pight kwaroption"?
Four years is a long time. A lot can be
done in
four years, For the sake of our dear
country, I
sincerely hope that change has come.

See this aboki oooo, you dey jonse. You promised, abi? You must deliver! Even if na to perform miracle....we love miracles sef. Yes na! Will any sane person expect anyone to be able to turn Nigeria to a developed country with no problems in addition if given even 16 years. We be small pikin? We nor dey look life as e be? We dey dream? So far e try, e reach. If e nor try, we change am next time. We give Goodluck this kind of chance, then we change am. So shame nor dey. Na we vote Goodluck, we nor shame, we comot am. Na we still vote Buhari, we nor go shame if e nor try, we go comot am. But e must put effort.......

Anonymous said...

Jonathan had to go. That was just it. Nothing else. You do not believe a politicians manifesto. He may just look good for the job or you may just want a change. I never expected a miracle. Even in my small local professional organization, manifestos do not at all reflect what will be done. Right from the day after election.

Anonymous said...

Gradually, the work will go on and progress will be seen. The problem with all of us is that we speak too soon as if we see the future- supporters and opponents alike. Let him start before we criticize. He has not even been sworn in.
