Photos: Buhari at the ground-breaking ceremony for the 260km super highway project in Cross Rivers

President Buhari today conducted the ground-breaking ceremony for the 260-kilometre Calabar-Kastina-Ala Super Highway road project at Obung, Cross River.

Buhari, who was forced to abandon his official Chopper and embarked on road journey to the venue of the event due to heavy rain, commended the state governor, Ben Ayade for embarking on the project and also pledged to be back in due course for the inauguration of the project.

“I feel the warmth of your embrace and the passion in your gaze. The future of Cross River State is certain. Let me commend our young Governor, Professor Ben Ayade who globe-trotted to get these core foreign investors to invest in these huge projects. I am one with you on this. I promise to come back to commission (inaugurate) this road upon completion and that is very soon too.’’he said

Super highway is a highway designed for travel at high speeds, having more than one lane for each direction of traffic, a safety strip dividing the two directions, and cloverleaves to route the traffic on and off the highway. So I was taught o. I hope dis helps @ Anon. 9:43 Pm.

This ate the things right thinking governors should do. They go to Asian countries and see wonders when it comes to infrastructure buildings. So liaising with these foreign Asian government to bring these wonders to africa is a right step in the right direction. The US and Britain are old news.

Only God can help nigeria...rochas,oshiomole,tambuwal and others are elected governors of states in this country.yet the keep following the president everywhere.for what purpose. And that one couldn't send them back.So this is good governance?I tell u this country has been due for a revolution and uprising ever since olusegun obj took over.and when buhari too over there was hope.seems things have continued to decline even more.....linda abeg post am.

Useless governor of Imo State!
Can you see what your mates are doing?
May you drown on that Owerri-PH road, for all the inhumane acts you have committed in Imo state and I pray you never get the chance to Aso rock. Amen
Your running around Buhari will forever be in vain. Amen

Rochas you are actually doing nothing there...come back to your state and sit as governor, pay your workers, award contracts and as well invite the president over...you are a governor not a presidential errand boy
