Etisalat-sponsored Nigerian Idol V: Evictions begin, Cliq Idol winner emerges, second group of 30 perform

Preye, Prime, and Dolu, have become the first three contestants to move to the top-12 stage of the on-going Etisalat- sponsored Nigerian Idol season 5.

Overjoyed at making it to the top- 12, the three lucky contestants thanked the viewers and Judges for their votes of confidence, pledging to prove that they deserve their spots in the show.

21-year old Solo, emerged the first winner of Cliq Idol competition, the online version of the ongoing Etisalat-sponsored Nigerian Idol competition, earning him a ticket to fight for a spot in the last group of Top 30. 

Although Solo did not make it through the audition stage held earlier this year across the country, he was able to turn his dream to reality from the comfort of his home by uploading a 60-second video of himself singing, to the Nigerian Idol website, www.nigerianidol/cliqidol.

Apart from Solo, contestants from the second group of top-10 of 30 contestants also impressed Judges and studio audience with their vocal and stage performances. If you missed their performances, you can watch a recap of it on the Nigerian Idol website at www.nigerianidol.com. 

To vote, simply dial the number of your favorite contestant on an Etisalat line or send the contestant’s number to 33680 via SMS.
