Unbelievable! See inside an Arik flight this night (photos)

An Arik flight that was scheduled to leave Abuja to Lagos by 2pm today kept being delayed until it was ready to leave by 9pm. When they were ready to go, the flight was overbooked. They sold more tickets than the number of seats that they have, leaving many passengers standing on the plane. In 2015, Arik Air! *sigh*!

But the aircraft hasn't left the airport as at the time of writing this report. Sokoto and Yola passengers went to block the aircraft from leaving because their flight that was supposed to leave for 9am today was canceled by 9pm. See more photos after the cut...

Nigeria has been moving backwards for 6 years.

It's time for change. Look at how the corrupt are shaking in fear over the thought of Buhari gaining power. We need a zero tolerance government. We need ministers who are in fear of accountability. We need those in power to consider the consequences of their decisions. It's a long road to recovery for Nigeria and Buhari 2015 is a good starting point.

Is a shameful thing

It baffles me when some people open their mouths and blame Jonathan on unnecessary things. Is He the arik-air manager or the passengers?*smh*

You have a voice, protest and Boycott the company. Demand the best and excellent services for your money.

I wonder O. Linda, does this picture even make sense to you. Obviously, the passengers were disembarking. The overhead luggage compartments are even open. There is no way that a flight will take off with all these people standing. They will not even be allowed to enter the plane once it's full.

You should stop practicing fake Journalism and look at the facts . Misleading headlines for comments..SMH... you should be ashamed of yourself. Arik should sue you for defamation. It is clear that passengers are waiting to disembark from the plane.

Why are Nigerians so gullible, we just believe everything we see without applying common sense or reason. The aircraft is over booked, that's a possibility giving the reputation of Arik air but how can you ever believe that an aircraft engine wld even be started in dis situation let alone take off. Can't you are that the over head lockers are open indicating that the aircraft isn't in motion. That's why they give us rice to vote and we kill each other for baseless things we look at as benefits
Nigerians pls always look closer at the details and just don't accept everything u see on blogs like this. Use Ur brains.

These guys were trying to come down. As a frequent flyer I knw that when a plane lands the cabin is always full of people rushing to be the first to come down and while some people tries to get their logagge it causes a bit traffic in movement on the cabin however some passengers like me choose to remain on my seat until there is free movement
