Samsung & Etisalat partners Union Bank to launch 24-month device finance scheme

Samsung Mobile, a division of Samsung Electronics West Africa, in partnership with Etisalat and Union Bank of Nigeria Plc last week announced the commencement of flexible payment plans for its customers to purchase high-end smartphone devices on instalments at select Etisalat Experience Centres nationwide.

The scheme entitled; Get a Smart Device with Ease, which will run on Etisalat Samsung devices is scheduled to commence on November 1st, 2013. Samsung device financing option offers customers the opportunity to own their preferred smart devices such as Galaxy Note 8.0 (tablet), Galaxy S4, Galaxy Mega, Galaxy Note 3, and Galaxy S4 Zoom with the option of spreading payments over a 24-month period. Speaking on the unique offering, Director, Hand Held Products, Samsung Electronics West Africa, Emmanouil Revmatas, said “This device financing scheme offers Samsung Mobile customers access to a wide range of Galaxy smartphones and tablet at a convenient and affordable payment plan. Consumers can pay over a 24-month period. Samsung Galaxy mobile phone ranges are among the fastest selling smartphones in the world. Any of the Galaxy Smartphone range is a smart buy any day with its rich features and over 2000 applications to choose from. Galaxy smartphone is a lifestyle enhancer for tech savvy consumers”.



He said the Get a Smart Device with Ease initiative financed by Union Bankreinforces Samsung Mobile’s position as the foremost customer-centric mobile brand as it has always been the brand’s desire to help consumers to enhance their lifestyle without breaking the bank.



 Speaking on the initiative, Director Retail Sales, Etisalat Nigeria, Charles Ogunwuyi, said Etisalat is pleased to partner with Samsung on its drive to help to get innovative smart devices into the hands of more people with convenient payment solutionsprovided by Union Bank.



According to him, “Etisalat is Nigeria’s most innovative telecommunications company. The Samsung device financing option offers significantly easy access for people to purchase their dream Samsung Galaxy devices with flexible payment plans. We are extremely pleased to have an innovative partner like Samsung and Union Bank to empower people to aspire to own cutting-edge communication devices that will enhance their lifestyles”.



Mr Adekunle Adeosun, Executive Director in charge of Commercial and Retail banking (South) said that UnionBank was pleased to partner with Samsung and Etisalat to finance this unique product offeringto offer a flexible and convenient repayment plan for users of these smartphones. He stated that this initiative aligns with the bank`s current drive to latch on its rich heritage to project into a promising future such asempowering  people to own their dream Samsung smart phones.



The scheme is currently operational in Lagos, Ibadan, Owerri, Aba, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano but will soon be available nationwide. To be a part of the scheme, the customer is expected to fill a form on the dedicated portal: http://www.samsungmobileng.com/etisalat-unionbank/, http://www.unionbankng.com/samsungdevicefinancing and http://www.etisalt.com.ng/devicefinancing or simply walk into any preferred Etisalat Experience Centre and any branch of Union Bank.



Upon completion of the form, a verification of the customer’s details will follow within 48 hours. The customer will then be advised by Union Bank who oversee the credit approval process. The customer can walk into any of the participating Etisalat Experience Centres to pick up his/her choice device.



In addition to the ease of credit under the scheme, customers will also get free internet access service and free authentic accessories.

Samsung has 9ice and gud products bt their price tags re always high for an average Nigerian to afford.
