He has
participated in and won several music talent competitions in Nigeria, among
them the The MTN/Soundcity Campus blast 2007, he was a runner-up at the Star
Quest music talent hunt 2008, he was a semi finalist at the Naija sings 2010 competition,
and winner Mr Glo Rock and Rule 2011(South South region).
His musical influences
are several decades of local and foreign artistes, Motown artists, hip-hop
icons, R&B crooners, Fela Kuti, Rex Lawson and to a large extent, Bob
Marley.
His
encounter with iconic producer Sunky , CEO Sunkytones sparked the beginning of
a fantastic hit production partnership. Sunky is the wonder-kid producer who
churned out several hits for the R&B group Styl-Plus, who released songs such as
“olufunmi”, “Imagine that” just to name a few.
Morientez has worked with several big names in
preparation for his album, including Nigeria’s top notch rapper, MI.
This is his
debut single: Cinderella. It is definitely a sound to keep you wanting more

Amazing! well I don't relly know Morientez but I do know sunky. He's the real reason behind stylePlus success. After listerning to this, I am sure something fresh is coming to Naija music scene. I wish him well.
Hahaha I'm happy for this guy...I remember the day the word MORIENT was formed in the dirty hostel of hall 4 unit 3 in uniben that year, wow how time flies...men I have been waiting for you to come into the spotlight for a long time now...I'm glad you are about doing that now.
