LIB reader with skin problems needs your help, shares photos

Below is what she wrote
"I have had a skin problem since I was 16. Started in 2010. It has ruined my teenage life & self esteem. Growing up where you cant take your clothes off or where people avoid you has really affected me negatively. I've been to one dermatologist in Abuja which I could afford yet it didn't help. Please is there anyone that knows any solution or probably a good dermatologist? I cant afford any for now but hopefully I'll be glad knowing there's a cure out there for me." So I advise you get money then go to any general hospital close to you and ask for their skin clinic @ least there treatment will be fair enuff

Linda, this are the things you should be able to do for people. Putting smiles on their faces not just dashing 20k up and down, and at the end people will not be able to make use of the money cos u and i know 20k is nothing in this country. This lady will be happy for the rest of her life if you can support her. My opinion though.

Depends on the cause of the skin condition. It could be fungal, viral or bacterial. Fungal infections could be crazy and if care isn't taken could get worse. Boil like lumps could start manifesting all over your body and the pains they'll cause will be excruciating. You may want to try proper local/herbal treatment if you don't mind. Sometimes orthodox treatment may not have the full effect you desire. I'm speaking from experience and the herbs worked for me.

So sorry dear. What did the Dermatologist say? I had a similar problem about 4-5 years ago (not sure if it's same as yours though). Started as tiny rashes on my sheen that would itch and turn red/purple once scratched and scar badly. They quickly spread to the rest of my legs and arms. I didn't know what it was at first and the 2 Doctors i saw gave me tons of injection and antibiotics without any real diagnosis. This would stop the itching and spreading for a few days but they would soon reappear.

I eventually visited a Dermatologist who diagnosed it as Lichen Planus. I was told there was really no specific cure for it and that i would have to manage it properly then later on treat the scars. Scars are almost faded now...

Anonymous said...

Dear poster, I'll advise u go on herbs, wen mine started on my legs, i was told I stepped on something wen i went visiting my grandparent. I started using herbs (agbo) within a week it all vanished, cos it's in d blood. All dis dermatologist go jst chop ur money nd do tryer by error.

I HAD SUCH WHEN I WAS GROWING UP AND I USED THE DRUGS CALLED:

(LINCOSIN UPJOHN)

I DONT KNOW IF THE DRUGS STILL EXIST AND USED THE CREAM BELOW TO CLEAR THE SPOTS:

(SKINICLES)

THE CREAM WAS SMALL, SCARCE AND EXPENSIVE BUT IT WAS WORTH IT. IT WAS RECOMMENDED BY A STUDENT DOCTOR LEAVING IN OUR HOUSE THEN SO TRY AND SEARCH FOR IT AND SEE IF IT CAN HELP YOU.

I HAVE SEEN THE CREAM RECENTLY BUT THE DRUGS I CANT TELL.

DO TAKE CARE AND LINDA THIS ARE THE KIND OF THINGS WE NEED TO BE SEEING HERE PLEASE SO WE CAN HELP PPPLE IN NEED.

THANK YOU.

Please do not apply any of these advice. So many cabbages suggested. Your case isn't beyond medicine though faith in God for directions or healing is the surest thing to do. Yes, sometimes God allows certain problems to weigh us down so as to draw us to Himself. Don't go visit any stranger bcos of your problem, hell no. If you do, men will exploit your condition for selfish intents. The world is a wicked people. Very few people do fear God these days and I hope you note that. Ask Linda to publish your account details so that men of goodwill may volunteer to assist with any donation because I sense you are now broke as a result. With sufficient fund, you can explore the services of the best dermatologists within Nigeria for I believe solutions to your problem lies within. Take care, it is well!

Is it rough to the touch, or lumpy? Or cant be felt at all?

There's a fantastic dermatologist on V.I but sadly expensive. Try herbs, wished u were in Lagos, I know a good old man who will help.

Linda, please personally take this up AND foot the bill. Its time u start REALLY giving back, not this silly weekly peanuts.

Anonymous said...

Dear young lady. I do understand what the feeling is like. I was also a victim at my teen age and if not for God's intervention, the story would have been similar to your.
Remember, it all started during my final year in school and all effort to treat the ailment by my whole family was in vain. People started recommending all sort but all to no avail. My teachers in school were beginning to address me in a strange way with different suggestions. Thank God my friends behavior did not change except for concerns that I need to do something fast.
Each time, I return home to tell my mother of blessed memories.
Finally my breakthrough came. On our (my friends and I)way home from school one day, we playfully rushing and pushing one another entered a bus to Aguda where an OLD MAN saw me and shouted saying something I did not understand. He then said that as soon as get home, I should inform my mother to go to the beach and fetch water from the beach. He instructed that I should rub the water all over my body as cream and take a table spoon of it as drug.
Testimony: -
It worked like magic. And since then, we keep the water in my house to treat unexplainable ailments.
Please, try it

Anonymous said...

What can be done about it please? But I know its expensive and wont be able to afford any help.

Hi dear. I know what this is. A friend of mine has it after the agony of trying to know what was wrong with his skin. It is called Lichen Planus(goggle it please)and you might have to live with it 'cos it comes out as bumps initially and itches, then Dermovate cream is used to treat and this your stage is when it is fully healed. Please it is not so bad because it could be worse and there are worse things that could happen to you. I can recommend a dermatological soap and cream, E-45 but will not clear this spots. Just believe that this does not change who you are.

It could be a harbinger for something more sinister. Diagnosis should never be made on phone and as such take no medications prescribed of this platform. Cheers. Chalee

I know what dis is like. I had a similar problem with psoriasis. I wish i could show you pictures of wat mine was like. but you can google the word. mine started since i was 10. now am 23. i have undergone several treatments with each one getting worse. i don't have close friends to avoid the embarassment and i push away anyone that tries to come close. I go as far as 3 days without taking my bath, i just wash my private part and clean my armpit wit a damp towel. i hated taking my bath cos havin contact with water makes it worse nd it itches like hell nd i have to scratch my body with a strong hair brush for about 15 minutes before i can dress up. i cant go out wen the rain is falling or even wen sun is high cos once i start sweating, i need to scratch to ease out nd u can imagine wat i would look like walking on the streets trying to scratch my back nd my midsection. I recently came to Lagos for youth service and God has a way of working.. My aunt is into medicine.. so i undergo blood tests every monday and drugs are prescribed for me based on the immediate tests.. and i can tell u all dose itchy scaly bumps are gone.. am still undergoing the treatments but i can comfortably bath twice daily now but wit vry minor itching which i can control by not rubing the towel against my skin..i just dab my skin wit d towel.. i wish Linda can giv u my mail directly so dat we can help.. i believe my aunt and her crew will have a solution for you.. my mail is jasharon11@gmail.com. But if truth be told, you have such a beautiful body and the skin condition makes you one in a million. I will give anything to have you. Kisses

Yeah rich! Why not donate the oil to her if you are so sure it will work. She can continue buying after the bottle you give her runs out and she can see how effective it is. www.Brainwashed.com

Did you move to Abuja shortly before this started? Did your diet change? Did you change your lotion? There is an article on daily mail about a Brazilian town where people develop skin issues when they go out in the sun. It's genetic and triggered by sun rays so they've been advised to avoid direct sunlight on their skin.
Try and identify changes that happened before this started. It could even be allergy caused by a particular material you wear.
Use baby lotion, they are mild unlike adult lotions with more chemicals.
Google food that are good for the skin and drink lots of water. You can try water therapy (drinking water in the morning before eating)
Try Natural aloe Vera (use small tooth comb to extract the gel and apply to small parts for a week or 2 and see if there is an improvement before using all over your body).
If it's the hot weather in Abuja that triggers it, consider relocating if possible. The most important thing is to identify what triggers the reactions and try to avoid it until you get the right allergy drugs to use if you must expose your self to the conditions.
Above all, please use Google, you will be amazed at the amount of medical information on the Web, you can post the first picture on doctors/medical forums pending when you get the needed resources to see a specialist.

I've never participated in Linda's giveaway so I'm not a beneficiary.
Instead of telling Linda what to do with HER money, why don't you use YOURS to help the girl no matter how small?

In a view of mine,i feel or would rather say there are two things attached to the cure of the ailment.. If i could have a good sense of the pic,i would agreed it to be a fungal, viral or bacterial.. The two cure attached to it is ''spiritual'' and ''medical'' to my wand the two suggested measures work hand in hand. To me,for the fact that you shared your problem,i already believed it's half solved.. HERE IT GOES-Irrespective of the religion you may be practicing,be prayerful and be optimistic that you are healed cus at some point medication works with belief.. And lastly, try a better means in medical line,i know you must have tried several means before voicing it out,but here am i to tell you that don't give it up,rather bring it on.. Consult reliable medical therapist and i bet you will be a clever dancer this time.. Thanks

I second aloe Vera, lots of water, honey+oats+lemon consistently. These things are not expensive and you should do it for at least 2 months before you stop. I also think it's a hormonal issue.

Nice butt btw

You need herbs to clear it. It's an infection of the blood.

Oyinbo drugs will not clear it permanently. I know what am talking about because it has happened to a friend.

She has been spending money on dermatologists until someone introduced her to a woman selling herbs. Now it's clearing.

Goodluck.

Take a clearer close-up picture of an area of your affected your skin and have Linda post it again on her blog again. I can send it across to my colleagues. This seems like a visceral issue and not just a dermatological issue. This is not an issue of using a wonder skin cream or drinking some magic herb. Also give more details on any health issues you have had since this began.

I said I will get back to you, and here was my story and how I got rid of my skin problem. Mine own started far back during my undergraduate days at uniben, one of my friends came to stay with me for the exam period, he took my soap to the bathroom, fell it into the disgusting gutter and returned it like he never did anything. little did I know what he did, i used the soap to bath and behold, my sensitive skin triggered a reaction so horrible that was itchy all over.

I resulted to see a dermatologist (our neighbour, the dermatologist I wanted to refer you to was not around that period),after many referrals and antibiotics, it didn't stop, it lingered on for months and still no solution, i tried herbal, they gave me all form of roots to boil and drink, I did that religiously, still no solution.

I was reading about a crazy cure which I will share with you, but that was my last resort. You have heard of wetin dey for sokoto, e dey for shokoto right? it means what you are looking for far off is just around you. your solution is in you.

Hear my analysis, when Neaaman was told to go and bath in river Jordan by Elisha ref (2 Kings 5:1-19), he criticized the choice of river, but he took the advice of a small girl and he got his healing.

Do you know if a snake bit someone, it is that very breed of snake thye look for so that they can use its own venom to create an antidote to treat the victim?

Without wasting time on this, your solution is in your urine. I did a study on the urine therapy, you can google and read about it. I had no hope when my skin problem persisted, Your skin poison if I may say so, the solution or antidote is in your urine. It will reverse every reaction in your body.

You can say tufiakwa, me drink my urine or is this a joke? whatever stuff I was given by those herbalist to drink was worse than urine, its taste and its smell. I am talking about yours and not someone else's.

The recipe is the first early morning urine, it is the cure, because it is highly concentrated, get a special plastic cup, hold ur nose and gulp it down, every morning for 5 days, watch what happens within the next few weeks, your body will reverse the reaction and your skin will return to normal. For guys that have serious bumps issue, you can use your early morning urine to rub the spots for a week, see what happens after.

Before some of you laugh, google up this therapy. Don't spend money, don't think its crazy, like Naaman, take my little advice, it worked for me, I know what I went through and how I got my skin back, I am not just suggesting to you, I am sharing with you. You can testify here later with your pictures and maybe show us your face when your skin is okay in few weeks time. Remember say little prayers and give God thanks by declaring your healing comes from Him through this cup.

God bless you.

I still insist it is Lichen Planus. I know the spots are not on your face. Just keep using E-45 soap and cream mixed with a bit of dermovate cream on the localized area. Please wash hands properly afterwards but will take years to fade off albiert not completely.

Thanks everyone! Thanks to Emma *D law* I really appreciate your concern and effort to want to help.

I hope she sees this comment. firstly this looks like acne spots. just buy doxycycline capsules which are about 200Naira. take one daily as this will help clear the bacteria from inside before you then clear the spot with a good spot remover. drink lots of water also. you ll be fine
