Unilever Nigeria PLC, a leading consumer goods
company, recently re-launched the Closeup Toothpaste brand across the three
variants; Deep Action Red Hot, Naija Herbal Gel and Herbal Paste. This relaunch
was kicked off on Tuesday, April 21st at Protea Hotel, Ikeja GRA,
Lagos.
Speaking at the launch event, Brand Building Director, Oral and Personal Care, Unilever
Nigeria, David Okeme stated that Unilever is also excited to introduceDavido,
a multiplatinum selling artiste as the official Brand Ambassador for Closeup.
This geared towards engaging our core target the Nigerian youth.
The Category
Manager, Oral care Unilever Nigeria, BunmiAdeniba, explained that the re-launch
of Closeup toothpaste was done on the background of the new campaign tagged “
12hours of Fresh Breath” a reflection of the brand’s commitment to giving everyday Nigerians a brilliant,
healthy white smile and a 12
hours fresh breath regardless of the status.
Closeup Toothpaste as
the Number 1 Toothpaste in Nigeria, is synonymous with bringing people closer
together by giving the true confidence to get close with fresh breath. This we
have recently demonstrated via a global campaign, Cupid games, that brought
together about 4 million young people in an online platform. As we unfold plans
working with the brand ambassador Davido, we continue to lead the conversation
about closeness and freshness in the Nigerian market.
