Gay activist Bisi reveals how he lost his family because of his sexual preference

The gay activist took to instagram today to tell a sad story of how he lost his family members because of his sexual orientation. How you can turn your back on a family member because they are gay is amazing to me. What Bisi Alimi wrote below...
3 years ago I lost my family completely after this Facebook post (above) from my elder sister. She posted this knowing well that I am gay and she did it to spite me. That day I replied her after which she blocked me on Facebook and that led to a big family fight which led to me blocking them from my life. Today I am happy for friends who are my family, the people I can speak to any time of the day, cry to without judging me and even bare my pains too."

I'm actually a female and a straight one at that. I'm just not filled with ignorance & hate. Thank God for my life. I hope you can say the same for yours. Have a good day mate :)

When they can't give you a reasonable answer, they begin to insult you and label you e.g @diamond.

Godbless you at anon 2.01 Thats a better way of handling it.
If being gay is a sin, what's the difference between your hate and their sin?

Linda, the promotion of gayism on your blog has convinced me more that you are likely to be one of them.

Sorry but are you gay? Y e dey pain you like this? If any member of my family decides to announce his preferences on social media then he and I seize to be related (sue me) I don't do gay so I can't deal (sue me) life is filed with choices and I choose the ones that works for me. No where in the Bible that a man will cleave to another man! It says a man shall cleave to a woman and they will become one!

Dear Bisi,

As at the time i posted this comment, there were already 211 comments. I took my time to review each of them and I observed that over 200 are clearly not in support of your sexual orientation.

If you blame your sister or anymember of your family for disliking ur sexual orientation, then you are also blaming the over 200 people that have taken time to comment on your personal issue.

Quit blaming your sister because, a lot more people would have done worse to you and you may not have been alive to tell a story 3yrs later.

I have accepted that gay people do exist, but i pray to God everyday that none of my adorable sons turn gay. I cant just imagine being penatrated or offer penatration to another man.

Until myself and many others accept it, please deal with whatever you are experiencing. and i hope you find peace

Tradition has forbidden or allowed a lot of things. Tradition has murdered twins and circumcised women. The Bible forbids all fornication - all sexual acts outside marriage - and a whole load of other acts. What I can't understand is that somebody who has straight sex feels morally superior to gays and quotes the Bible. Absolute rubbish. If you have sex with someone to whom you are not married, you've broken God's law on fornication and have no moral right to condemn gays. What I'd like our people to know is that people don't choose to be gay, that throughout nature and history and in the animal world (if you'd take time to google), gays have existed. I am a gay man, my siblings are different from me yet we were reared in the same environment. Let's stop wallowing in ignorance. Gay is part of nature. End of story. I feel for you Bisi. You'll survive. We'll all survive.

Homosexuality/lesbianism is as any other sin. The bible condemns it and does not in any way refer to love between 2 men or women as acceptable. However they shouldn't be rejected but loved believing they will change.

i am so tired of people constantly using the bible to justify hatred of others and blatant discrimination. please DO NOT FORGET that this same bible was once used to justify slavery and all its horrors.

examples of passages quoted:

As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, till he shows us his mercy.
Ephesians 6:4-6: Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but like slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.
Ephesians 6:5:Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.

yet, we have progressed. we have learnt better. we have recognised that love is always the TRUE PATH and the bible can be manipulated to propagate all sorts of ills. have perspective. be humble and don't pretend to have all the answers. stop judging others and focus on being a loving person instead.
