2015 elections: Obasanjo warns against military take-over

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has warned against a military takeover following any issues that might arise from the 2015 general elections. Chief Obasanjo gave the warning today while receiving APC South West women led by Mrs Aisha Buhari.
"I do hope we will get things more right. A lot of rumors are flying around, I think we have gone away from the rumor of Interim Government because that is not in our constitution. I hope we will soon go away from the rumour of handing over to the military because the military is not meant to run affairs of a nation in terms of running government.” he said

Fellow Nigerians! This weekend, we are going to the pools to take a very critical and vital decision of who gonna be the captain of the Nigerian ship for the next 4 years.
Before you cast ur vote, think, make a retrospection of the activities of the present govt in Nigeria in the last 6 years. Think of the last 16yrs of the ruling party, are we progressing or retrogressing? From the statistics obtained from our National Bureau of Statistics, unemployment rate in Nigeria as of 2009 is at 30%,but today is at an alarming rate of 51%,courtesy of GEJ maladministration. Our economy is bleeding. Forex rate in Nigeria is at all-time high since our independence. Businesses are going down, and there is no reprieve in sight.Corruption is the order of the day.
4 DAYS TO PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS!!! FEW REASONS WHY NIGERIANS Must Sack JONATHAN and Sambo .....
1. The Chibok Girls
2. NNPC AS GOVT ATM
3. Police pension fund
4. Missing $20Billion
5. $15million Arms deal Embarrassment in SA
6. EKITIGATE Election fraud(He just nominated Obanikoro, one of the arrow heads of the rigging as a minister.shame)
7. Immigration job SCAM (He is just meeting the victims? And Abba Moro is still there as the minister)
8. Petroleum pump price manipulations
9. Devaluation of Naira to N250 to a $
10. Oil theft Increase
11. Perpetual Power outage
12. Selling of NEPA to cronies and no results.
13. Selling of Refineries
14. Skyrocketed ELECTRICITY Bills
15. ASUU & Poly Strike
16. STEALING IS NOT CORRUPTION
Contracts of our pipelines to Tompolo, Gani Adams and others.
17. Allison Maduekwe spent N10bilion to hire aircraft.
18. Doctors and other medical practitioners strike.
19. Budgeted N30billion for the construction of 2nd Niger bridge. After 3 years, GEJ told us that N10billion has been spent on the construction and the only thing he (GEJ) showed us when he visited the construction site was map of the bridge. So, GEJ wants us to believe that he spent N10billion to draw second Niger bridge map.
20. In 2009, this country paid N291billion as subsidy for petroleum products. By 2011, the amount jumped to N2.7trillion. Did we start consuming as much as ten times petrol? Do we have as much ten times as many cars? Did the population of Nig multiply ten times within the period under review?
These are the reasons we are all beckoning for CHANGE.We have to KILL PDP b4 PDP kills of us!
We need a man of integrity! A man with a track record. We need the Change agent. We need GMB-mai Gaskiya!

#smh - I doubt the nation will recover from the o. The westerners tolerated truncating Abiola ' s win but I doubt the northerners will tolerated o.

Smh - Fertiliser lies - Another baseline question, if N870 billion fertiliser subsidy was embezzled in 40 years, what was the total budget for agriculture for those years?

Adamu Bello doubted if the entire budget for the ministry of agriculture was up to that amount. “To claim that there was subsidy of N870 billion spent on fertilisers, since the use of fertilisers was initially encouraged by the government about 40 years ago, is most unfair, as I doubt if the entire agricultural budgets for the whole period was up to that sum,” he said.

The Oracle has spoken through a Deity who sees himself a god
He who has ears, let him hear.
Its so pathetic seeing the level of decay Governance have become in this Country and saddening to see folks supporting the retainment of the status quo which is characterised by endemic corruption, insecurity and underdevelopment.
I personally feel sad that Nigerians are still blinded by ethnic, religious and regional sentiments all of which has been the products of the Ruling elites to stop the masses from coming together to fight for a common goal and is also clouding their (masses) objective reasoning in assessing the current rot in the system.
Quote me today that "There will be worst suffering for the masses if Nigerians eventually decide to vote the present Government back into power" as they will be coming 4 the kill to recoup every penny spent (with interest) BRIBING shameless people across the Country.
I will urge folks to keep sentiments aside and take a broader look at the problems confronting Nigeria from the Economic, Security and International perspectives which i will briefly summarise.
We have become a laughing stock internationally, while our ratings on Bloomberg and Standards and Poors is not favourable, not forgetting that our very hungry regional neighbours (Chad, Niger and co) are well aware of our degrading Military status.
I took time to briefly explain some ish cos i am a PATRIOT who still have confidence in the Nigeria project and also think its worth DYING for.
I must confess that i ve got a good Job and comfortably living above average as a Single Male BUT still disturbed by the widespread poverty, insecurity, endemic corruption and underdevelopment surrounding me. VOTE WISELY FOR A BETTER FUTURE, IF NOT 4 YOU BUT 4 THE COMING GENERATIONS.

Concerned Nigerian gender activists have called on the women of Edo State to forgive the unguarded comments recently credited to Mrs. Aisha Buhari, wife of the APC Presidential Candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari.
Mrs. Buhari had in a campaign rally for her husband’s presidential bid in Edo State over the weekend had described the women of Edo State, as “prostitutes” claiming her husband’s administration will stop the prostitution by Edo women abroad.
In a swift response to Mrs. Buhari on Monday in Benin, Sarah Obozuwa, Founder of the Edo Women for Change (EWC) called on Edo women to forgive Mrs. Buhari. “Aisha Buhari was born on September 29, 1979. As of today, Mrs. Buhari is only 35 years of age. She was married to Buhari in August 13, 1989, at the age of 9. This means that Buhari at age 47, in 1989 was having sex with Aisha Buhari at the tender age of 9, an underage according to the constitution of Nigeria. So Mrs. Buhari is a victim of sustained childhood rape and her outbursts are understandable”, she said.
Speaking further, Mrs. Obozuwa said: “How Buhari got Aisha Buhari pregnant at age 13 is a chilling story of a Buhari who defiled Aisha as a little child while she was visiting Zulai, Buhari’s eldest daughter who was her playmate. It is ironic how such a traumatized woman now stands at the vanguard of stigmatizing fellow women.”

Rivers state governor - Rotimi Amechi regrets his joining of APC

would have remained in PDP, if I knew my deputy would betray me--Gov. Amaechi

Following the return of the Deputy Governor of Rivers State; Engr. Tele Ikuru to PDP, governor Amaechi has urged members of the APC to remain steadfast. The governor who said that " Though I saw it coming, but I never believed it. Our movement to APC was a collective decision and Tele was even the one who seconded the motion for us to defect to the APC. So is unthinkable that he wld return to the PDP. This whole fight is about you ( APC members ). Not me! I can't be governor again. Like I keep saying, the world is aware of my fight with the President. And so many countries will grant me asylum and the President can't arrest me. So it's about you people. If I knew Tele was going to betray me and make peace with Wike, I wouldn't have left the PDP. I will encourage you to remain steadfast and expect the worst, because some commissioners will soon join him or will remain with us to sabotage our efforts. And how do you go to elections with a divided house and political moles? I'm learning people " --Gov. Amaechi
#Vote PDP at all levels

I just read this comment by ovie ovie on a post and i had to copy and paste..."he that has ears let him hear"...pls vote not fight

When the deadliest civil WAR breaks out all of us ranting here APC and PDP note that the elites you are fighting for on social media will survive with their families but you and i will be refugees in Benin Republic and other countries if we survive it,and they will still sit at a peace accord meeting somewhere in Ghana ,South Africa or the U.N to still decide your fate and fly back their families with their private jets to continue using those who survived,if i may ask where are their children? they are all abroad in safe keeping,Nigerian youths listen and listen good,we have only one Nigeria, what the RADIO did to Rwanda is what SOCIAL MEDIA IS DOING TO NIGERIA NOW,the worst CIVIL WAR IN THE HISTORY OF AFRICA AND MANKIND IS IMMINENT,we are all pushing NIGERIA TO WAR,there will be no winners or losers,Nigeria ,you and i will lose atlast, the U.S/ the West promised SYRIA and LIBYA better life where they would be free from dictators and corrupt leadership, today you can see how free these countries are,Iraq inclusive after Sadam,Americans are safe in their country happy and laughing over the suffering they have caused using divisive propaganda to destroy them,Nigerians be warned a great WAR is at hand all of us here might not be alive to tell the story but i bet you ,all the elites and their children will be alive to tell the story. You and i don't own oil wells and private jets, then what are we fighting for. They want you to be counted as casualties so there would be a case .Please say no to violence if GEJ wins he wont feed his village if Buhari wins he wont feed his village, and nothing will change ,there is no time a govt will solve all your problems. There are more beggars and homeless people in the U.S than Nigeria even in Obamas backyard in Chicago homeless people queue up for food hand outs daily.STOP PUSHING NIGERIA TO WAR WITH SO MUCH HATE ON SOCIAL MEDIA BE WARNED OF WHAT THE RADIO DID TO RWANDA. We might not live to tell the STORY.Lets preach LOVE and KINDNESS.

I like the part he said "there are more beggars and homeless people in the US than Nigeria..even in obama's backyard in chicago homeless people queue up for food handouts daily" .....Nigerians want jonathan the magician to perform signs and wonders!
