The miracle of body magic and wonder bra - by Etcetera

You can talk about body magic but please leave our wonder bras alone. Lol. Article written by singer turned writer, Etcetera. Enjoy...
Those women who wear simple and proper undergarments, this article is not about you. It is for those women who are confused and concerned and are leaning toward spending their hard-earned money on a magic garment that is being peddled as if it can solve all that ail them, only to be sorely disappointed.
Every eight seconds, a woman looks in the mirror and wants to be smaller. I have a huge problem with this type of women.
Whenever I meet people who pretend to be what they are not, it gets under my skin. When you present yourself as something, you’re asking me to trust you are exactly what you say you are. Why would you then abuse the trust you asked for with the goal of winning my heart? That is not fair. A friend of mine introduced me to a very hot chic at a bar in Ikeja and after hours of hanging out and getting to know each other, she followed me home. All I could think about was what she’d look like under all those tight clothes, but when she finally grunted her way out of those really tight jeans and her body began to spread in all directions, I suddenly had a headache and didn’t feel so well and I gave her cab fare home.

I mean, is this body magic thing for-real? It is ridiculous. To think that someone would honestly wear it instead of putting the time and effort into actually losing the extra pounds should be a personal embarrassment. It’s really gone past pathetic. The extreme to which our women are going to capture an image of beauty that is neither holistic, healthy nor attractive is crazy. It seems so strange that some ladies complain about not being able to find sincere, honest and real men when everything about them is synthetic, processed and unreal. Ladies, let me sell you a clue. If you find a man, any man, who seems to be attracted to women who have certain physical attributes like fake hair, fake nails, fake round bum-bum, fake flat stomach, fake eyelashes and fake breasts, odds are he’s a fake man. So if that’s what you’re looking for (fake men), then that’s cool. Leave the ‘real’ men to the ‘real’ women. If my girl had to undress and all of a sudden picked up 8 to 10 pounds merely by taking off her corset, the attraction would have ended immediately. Because it is a fraud and I don’t get myself involved with fraudulent people. What worries me most is, how do you as a lady guard your emotions from the reaction you will inevitably receive when that look of shock and disdain appears on the face of your man after he sees those parts you’ve been hiding under that body magic? If you find yourselves that undesirable, why would you expect a man to find you desirable?

Let’s look at this thing called body magic and the falsity around it. It makes you feel you have dropped three dress sizes right? Which basically means you’ll shave off about three inches of fat in ten minutes, firm up your abs, and boom, you’ve lost all the extra weight. Yes girlfriend, a body magic can reshape you. Wearing a corset can change your bust-line, by raising the breasts upwards and shaping them, flattening the stomach, and improving posture. However, these effects are only temporary and will be lost on removing the corset. Indeed, excessive corset wearing has been claimed to weaken certain muscles, making it more difficult to maintain your shape. Another thing a body magic can’t do is make a mound of fat disappear. Using a body magic for this purpose does nothing except shift mass fat into a place it originally was not supposed to be. Think about it, if fat was supposed to be buried deeper into your body, then guess what? God would have put it there. It’s stored on the outermost parts of your frame for a reason. Squeezing into a body magic and hoping it’s going to help permanently hide whatever flaws your body may have is a joke. And for Christ’ sake, the thing is so uncomfortable and tight, that it makes you unable to breathe or ease yourself when pressed.

I am really sad that our ladies don’t talk about healthy eating or exercise anymore. Body magic is a temporary fix at best and deceitful for that matter. Ladies, let’s be truthful here, if you met a guy who was wearing a muscle garment and once he took his shirt off, he was all flab underneath, won’t you be very disappointed? Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a problem with a woman using the garment in the process of losing weight and wanting to look toned down after childbirth. What I have issues with is the fact that we in this country are all about the quick fix. I think we should know that looking good is not just about hiding the body fat. And wait a minute, I know some of you may actually think that you don’t have to stop eating your favourite fatty foods, because your body magic will force you right back in shape. You forget the fact that those foods are unhealthy and lack proper nutrition for the body. You also forget that those are the same foods that got you in a physically unfit figure in the first place. Forget the fact that those foods aren’t going to help you maintain that figure. Should you magically obtain it, you don’t want to sacrifice and take pains to exercise. Doesn’t it surprise you that the garment is called body magic, like abracadabra? It can give you all you want and you don’t have to sacrifice at all. My dear, nothing works that easy.

Why not work harder to achieve a permanent figure you are craving for? It must be hard, or down right depressing to walk around looking fine most of the day, and then having to take off the fine body suit and look at the undesired one at night. It’s like you are trying to fool yourself and others. Eventually, you’re going to have to face the ‘fat’. Remember when you take off that body magic, gravity takes over! And no man wants to buy an illusion. We all want the real thing. It’s just sad that some Nigerian women are so hell bent on instant gratification. It would be beautiful to see you ladies embrace yourselves as you are. If you run like a rat, smell like a rat and look like a rat, then guess what girlfriend, you are a rat.

I totally agree with this one! The most annoying for me is, you meet a girl you know, you hug her and you're met with some 'Body Amour' feeling when it should be 'soft' as a woman's body. Especially when dancing in the club. VEEEEEEEERY Annoying! Kai

Well guess what mr,men like you are the reason those fake women exist.Ya'all go out looking for a chick with fake hair, fake nails, fake accent who talks through her nose and giggle all the damned time...automatically the chick you ignored sees the one who caught your attention and tries hard to look like her the next time she walks in a club. And besides what responsible man over 30 goes to club to pick up girls, especially the kind that goes home with you same night and takes off her jean?Let me guess, men like you!Even if that story was fiction,it goes to show its your everyday life. The reality here is that, every proper, educated, confident, beautiful and intelligent plus sized woman, who is not obese(that's a disease)appreciates who and what she is,she carries her body well, she's healthy and comfortable in her skin and body, and she doesn't bother with fake body size, she doesn't stress or bug about it,she probably is even too busy and career/independent woman oriented to think about+she's always got that perfect gentle man who loves and respect what she is.So etcetra or whatever,ur message is more for you and men like you!(Linda pls I'm on my knees, post my comment o)

I don't even know what a magic bra is, I work out alot and eat healthy, I'm a perfect size 10.
but sometimes I wear a padded bra to give an outfit a better fitting. I'm a size 34b so not everything fits without some tiny breast pad.... I don't do it for anyone but myself. Biko do I even owe him an explanation? Lol

ladies, please hit the gym o but if you can't, just go the "magic" way, at the end of the day, it's YOUR LIFE.

Well what ur article failed to point out is the long term positive effect of wearing good body magic and corsets, it actually helps one lose some fat. Ur body mass tends to adjust to it after awhile and stay that way. Google the woman with the tiniest waist in d world, entered Guinness book of record. She did it only with corsets.just corset. So it works. Not just to show what we are not but to help us burn some fat. Am not talking about wonder bra or wonder bum whatever. Just corsets and body magic.

What he says here is a bunch of bunk. It's been proven time and again that men are visual. We women do all we do because men like it. Weave, body magic, push up bras would disappear tomorrow if men didn't respond to women wearing them. Don't want to call him gay. But. If he was truly enjoying the loving in the bedroom, he'd be so overcome by passion, he wouldn't be busy analyzing flaws. Sorry, boo, the problem is yours, not "fake" ladies. You don't enjoy our femininity and all we do to maintain it. For many men, that's a part of the thrill of loving women.

Ifu Ennada said...

I think that ladies should make exercise part of their lifestyle and get the body that they want. You don't need a gym to stay fit and healthy.

It's actually no news. There are people that put these on to fit into a particular situation. It boosts their charisma, aura and ego.You don't have to open ur body for everyone you come across. If my husband appreciates body magic on me, why shdnt I wear it? Every girl shd embrace her size and walk tall no matter what anybody thinks.Exercise is good but it does not completely give you urbdream figure . What everybody shdnt forget is the saying that "Beauty is only skin deep".

He writes beautiful lyrics, fixes it into wonderful rhythm that serenades the body and lifts tells the soul some home truths and yet some ignoramus thinks "he's a failed musician". Now, he's dropping it like 'tis hot. Freezing hot! Albeit, without a rhythm. And y'all gotta face that "fat"...lol

Well done sire.

This article was a bit harsh sha, but this is how some men feel.

But when the normal African woman's body is thicker than the Kardashians, and long hair and light skin no dey, well they have to use magic to 'improve' what God gave them. Nature has not been fair on African women's looks, but if only their personalities outshone the world's view of beauty they'll be winners, but their attitudes can be terrible too. Kai. Well done to the men who love African women, 'flaws' and all. #TeamNaturalSha

Thank you for advising them
If you are fat, you are fat. No other name than to work it out & put yourself back in shape. There are so many better ways to put yourself back in shape other than body magic. The fact that a lady had extra pound doesn't mean you are not beautiful/ you are out of the league, Some men like it that way but they are few in number if I may say. Embrace yourself, if your guy/ man complain about your weight do something about it like exercise, low take of cholesterol, no junk food, low intake of sugary product & others.
I believe we are all unique in any shape/ style we found/ create for ourself.
But for wonder bra that's hilarious I must say. There is nothing to wonder about slag boobs, if is slag then is slag.

Yes, wearing body magic is only a quick fix.
Yes, we Nigerians love quick fixes.
No, waist training can permanently reduce waist size if eatng healthy n exercise is included.
No, its not wrng to wear corsets cos it helps to lose weight fast while exercising. It directs the fat in d tummy area towards other places like the boobs n hip area.
Please, to be a good writer, u should be able to give an unbiased view on a topic. Don't focus mainly on the negative.

True. We are not conscious if what we eat in this part of the world and I look in disgust when I see fat girls running to grab ice cream. Bt ladies are also confused cos the same men who don't want girls to have big stomachs and arms want then to have big hips and breasts. Which are all fatty tissues. So the girls have decided to do magic. Truth be told, men are the cause of the inferiority complex that women are facing. But women also have to stop allowing men use them for serial satisfaction. Cos from what this writer is saying he didn't care if the lady had a good heart or not, if she was intelligent or not all he wanted was to sample her beneath the sheets. So Thank God he was disappointed because she may have ended up as one of his many

Shame at etcetera!!! He plagiaris this writer word for word and he didn't have the nerve to give her props. He might think we are stupid not to know that everything he wrote down aren't his. What a sham of a writer! You have lost your respect from me now! It means you lie about everything you write in a bid to remain relevant! Lib readers read this link for yourself and see etcetera fool himself once again! http://blackgirlsguidetoweightloss.com/debunking-the-myths/the-body-magic-isnt-magic-afterall/ No be only ikeja na Ikoyi tshew!

I couldn't finish the whole article. This man etcetera strikes me as overly vengefull and judgemental. Picking out the flaws in other people's life won't help you sleep better at night. It's nobody's fault his career is over. It's nobody's fault that the only way he gains attention is by picjing on other people. so Brother etcetera, next time you wanna be in the news again,go in the studio and cook up something new and jazzy. Leave judgement to the boyfriends of the ladies wearing bodymagic.oh! And get a life while you are at it !

This guy is a kiss-and-tell. It's people like u that make things difficult for us guys. It's people like u that make babes play hard-to-get. In fact, u can never qualify to be in any board of directors of any company. Ur mouth is too wide.

This guy is just dumb! I'm a size 6 and yes i have a couple of body shapers, not because I'm fat or i have low self-esteem but because sometimes i want to accentuate my curves in dresses i wear to special events. Am i in search of a man? No! Am i looking for Etcetera's attention? No! I just want to look better in the dress cos i love looking good! It would shock you that most of the ladies who use body shapers are not even fat girls!

Now how many girls can wear non-padded bras today without their nipples poking out of their outfits?? Oga please park well. This article of yours is very shallow but then again I'm not surprised since you pick up call girls from clubs and take them home. Shameless man!

We have a lot in common but I don't think a 34b is small, it's either I wear the wrong bra size or 34v is perfect on my size 8 body.

Mschew. It is either you did not read the write-up or you lack the ability to comprehend. I suspect you are guilty of this

True. Ladies and guys alike need to hit the gym or at least engage in any form of exercise regularly. That said, ladies, please feel free to do or wear anything that makes you feel desirable and sexy. If you wish to go under the knife a hundred times, tis your decision. You want to wear corsets and wonder bras all year long..wear away. Tis your life and as long as you (and him) are cool with it, you owe nobody explanations or apologies. Where I work, there are 2 married women who turn heads all the time and make the single girls green with envy. Trendy, nails, weaves, corsets, wonder bras and all. Guess what? They do it cos their husbands love them that way, 'artificial' and all. And that is 2 and 3 kids after. To each his own.

Obviously u didn't read this article! Did u see where he wrote that if u r using it for exercise purpose, it is not a problem? You are quick to make assumptions hun! Tains

Making sense girl. I have flat chest and no 6packs. Just wonder if I wear something under to look like I have the muscles. How would a girl who falls for me feel when I take it off. Maybe I'll say l tot u loved me but I didn't know you don't, if you really loved before you'll still love me now, u are so fake. Lmao.
Wear it to help you slim, that's ok but don't make it you.
