@Anonymous 4:43; Can you read your comment again and tell me the intelligence in it? Did I bash her or say she messed up? What's the meaning of the word "facade" that I used? I only stated the fact that its not true in the regard of her saying 99.9 of Nigerians are honest, and this is LIB and not CNN so I can at least be truthful, since to you its ok to state a blatant lie on CNN all because there is a word like "Patriotism"(Do you even know the true meaning of the word "Patriotism"?). And then, do you think Amanpour, CNN or the world are fools? They all know the Nigerian issue of corruption, they would just laugh at us at such a statement, what happened to saying..."Yes, I agree a large majority of Nigerians are corrupt but its a fight we are on course with and would flush corruption out to the minimum"....Is that not patriotic, diplomatic and intelligent enough for you?

IT SHOULD READ......

UPHILL STRUGGLE TO SPEND! THE COUNTRY'S WEALTH

Bold face lies from a lady who now has no credibility in my eyes. At least face up and admit to some of the issue. Completely ignored the question of Goodluck's pardon for Alams and his desire to steal Billions

Where's ur moral justification,Mrs integrity,u cudnt answer the main question that was put to u,I feel sorry for my country, she tactically avoided the unjustified presidential pardon for alamieyeseigha...its such a pity...

I think she did very well. it was her job to give an answer without making herself, Goodluck and Nigeria as a whole look bad. She delivered.

This woman's appointment and her supposed inteligence has't impacted our country in form. Why is she there? mumu Ngozi, she can't recognize her left from right. She has resided abroad all her life, yet she could't come up with remarkable project that could effect change in Nigeria.

Why can't we have Dangote/Ngozi - PDP vs el-Rufai/Fashola - APC in 2015 instead of the present clueless people. If are presented such choice, then transition to modern Nigeria is assured.

you can tell that she is very intelligent and all the points she made are very valid....the president needs to get off his ass and invite foreign sectors to invest in electricity to start with!

i think she handled the interview properly, that is how it is done, GEJ needs to take some lessons instead of just saying things he has no business saying, she did great and artfully dodged the necessary questions she cant be quoted anywere na

Oga at the top said that oooo

Nice and intelligent interview with professionalism

Anonymous said...

this woman is schooled in public interview
1. promote yourself-in my book....
2. avoid unfavorable questions
3. when in a tight corner compare with people worse off- South Africa, China etc all have this problem.
4. Shift the focus of the conversation to what you want.
Good one madam you go school.

Only 0.1% of Nigerians are corrupt, according to honorable minister. Ngozi, where are u getting your records from.

Anonymous said...

it is good to have such calibre of woman to represent Nigeria

Anonymous said...

Exactly...

Anonymous said...

You said it all.. She even had the guts to compare nigeria and South Africa.. In the 90's where was South Africa? Nigerians just need to vote wisely...

Anonymous said...

All you people abusing Ngozi and expecting her to go and spoil the name of her country on CNN a News channel that already projects the fact that we're all IDIOTS!!! Well...

I hope for your sake u r NOT NIGERIAN cos guess what when you step out of the corridors of this nation and say 90% of Nigerians are corrupt, people will look at you and give you space. R U A Learner?

As for you that said Naija peeps r behind bars in order countries bcos there's no hope back home. Pls go and bail your pple and don't blame the govt.

What did she even lie about that people are CRYING like this?
Is there corruption? Yes.
Who are the culprits?
Does corruption take place only in govt?
Are some arms of the govt making giant strides to improve the economy? Yes but, ever so ploddingly due to the state of degradation.
Everyone should do their part in their own little way.

She just take style sweep d case under rug, she no answer the question. I am disappointed in her. I no longer have respect for ds lady... I was a fool to believe in her. Those kidnappers for don shoot her mama! Ah! We don die for ds country! O ti ku! O ti kpere!

She will make a very good defence attorney other than that Nigeria is gradually becoming a sorry nation with so much potentials.

This woman need to be interviewed by Jeremy Paxman of BBC, then she will know....

This wasn't a consistent question-answer interview, watch the interviewers posture change dramatically within seconds as if several takes were taken on the recording with possible breaks in between. In short it was all set-up to put this lady in a good light in comparison to our current President. This whole women empowerment agenda might just produce our first female President at this rate, perhaps to push same-sex rights (she mentions inequality as an issue) as done by Joyce Banda, Malawi's first female & current president. Nigerians NEED to hold on to Christ, it seems Africas the last stop. Chinua Achebe then Margaret Thatcher, things really do fall apart. Our cultural values and traditions are slowly but surely...vanishing. Forget History, our faith in Christ is all we have and all we NEED, this is the concrete truth. God bless

Most of you are very stupid saying you like a woman who is lying through her teeth and evading questions left, right and center. Una go die for that Nigeria...Thieves all!!!

When I see Ngozi, I know there is hope for Nigeria. We need more leaders like her. She defended us with pride, and I believe that all Nigerians should learn from her true patriotism. She is so accountable, that its obvious she doing her job well. I'm so proud that she gave Amanpour a tough time, even our president fell for her tricks but Ngozi stood her ground. I love this woman
