Blessing Egbe Releases “One Room” On Streaming Site, www.bconceptnetwork.tv today

After so much anticipation, Blessing Egbe has finally released her movie, One Room, on a movie streaming site, www.bconceptnetwork.tv today. Written, produced and directed by one of Nollywood’s finest female directors, Blessing Egbe, “One Room” is a drama plotted around a couple that have been married for 5 years. 

When Ada played by Rita Dominic realizes that her yearning for her husband is fruitless, she takes a step to change things. Little did she know what was in store for them from that singular act of hers.

Blessing Egbe’s “One Room” captures what plays out in an average family in the society that seems to be lost on the public. The cast, who interpreted their roles without any amiss, coupled with Blessing Egbe’s ingenious directorial skills, recaptures this familial situation in ways that would get you glued to you seats.

Reacting to why she decided to premier her movie online through a streaming platform, the director of “Lekki Wives”, said “The first is the need to bridge the gap and go straight to the fans who always long to be carried along…Second is  the need to gain back the freedom of expression. Without knowing it, film makers have gradually relegated their expressive powers to the distributors and broadcasters who now, to an extent, control the output of work being produced and released…Lastly, producers want to be empowered. We want to own our own market. Be in control of our work and how we create.”

Apart from “One Room”, the director would also be launching the first series of another TV series, This Thing Called Marriage on the site.

This Thing Called Marriage, according to Blessing Egbe, “will shadow the line of Lekki Wives and expose the behind-the-scenes of a supposed beautiful exterior; the things that go on in marriage…”.
