But Jonathan was not the first person to ever make a concession call in Nigeria. There has been at least one that I know of before him... but all praise is being given to Jonathan for peace-fully conceding even though the man knows he's in way over his head as president of Nigeria. Nigeria don't need a kind leader, we need a serious and no-nonsense leader and we've found me in Buhari. That's why evil doers are worried and running scared because they know their end is near.

Anonymous said...

Actually Ohakim of Imo State did not file an election petition but his party did. Then Buhari did not file one after the last election but his party did. Then Fayemi followed suit but his party filed. If PDP refrains from filing a petition this year then a trend would have been established. Certainly Fayemi was no pace setter

Unknown said...

Ok. Check out naijacarlovers.blogspot.com for autotainment news. Cheers

chioms said...

nah! GEJ didn't set the pace, Fayemi of Ekiti state did!!!

dejilope said...

Yeah...I think that conceding defeat actually started from Dr. Fayemi's response to Ekiti polls.

Anonymous said...

Yes oo. The likes of Olanipekun will be very sad now i guess. That seem to be his area of specialization. God bless Nigeria

Anonymous said...

EX Governor of Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi was the one who set the pace...

Willy B said...

This is good for this nation. Thuggery is now going to be eliminated gradually. If those you are killing people for tend to hug themselves after election, why the useless fighting and killing.
A lesson for all.
Thanks to GEJ for setting the pace of conceding to defeat at the highest level. I pray this continues, AMEN.
Long Live Nigeria!

Unknown said...

Hahahahahah. LWKMD. All we need is peace.

odejayiadeniyi said...

point of correction, Jonathan didn't set the pace. Fayemi of Ekiti state did, he congratulated Fayose after being declared the winner without waiting for his party's reaction.

Point of correction Linda, Gov. Fayemi of Ekiti State started this trend not Jonathan. Get your facts right and stop celebrating mediocrity
