Chibok girls have not been killed - FG says

In a bid to dowse speculations in some quarters that the missing Chibok girls have been killed following the recent recapture of most of the strong territories Boko Haram occupied with no sign of the girls, the Federal Government has come out to state that the girls are still alive and that hopes for their rescue must be kept alive.

At a press conference in Abuja today April 8th, the Coordinator of National Information Centre (NIC), Mr Mike Omeri, said that hopes for the rescue of the Chibok girls is still high and that until the military concludes the recapture of all lost territories from Boko Haram, speculations of their death would not be entertained

"The search for Chibok girls continues and that is why even with capture of Bama and the rest, security and military have never relent, and until it is concluded, we cannot begin to believe speculation. I think the one year anniversary is next week, and we hope to give a comprehensive report on what we know so far, and how far the searching has gone. So, the assurance I will give you, is that everywhere is being combed and whatever element we found will be revealed to appropriate authority and nobody is going to keep anything secret.”he said

Pardon me, but doesn’t Lagos originally belong to the Benin people? From the little history I know, weren’t the Benin people first to settle and start trade in Lagos? Does it not make them the original owners of Lagos? As a science student, I don’t know how it ended up in the hands of Oduduwa, the founder of the Yoruba’s. Eko is a Benin word that means Camp. Its first Oba was Oba Orhogbua, A Benin man. This is just to remind the Yorubas spewing hate comments everywhere of their history. Lagos is a successful state because of “immigrants”, majorly, the Igbo man.

There are no chibok girls, Buhari,Shetima and APC members should be questioned on this chibok girls dramatic display. Buhari is an evil man with evil intention for all his opposition, but God will disgrace him.

Unknown said...

Yeah.. cos we know they in abuja.. somewhere discrete.. locked up n waiting to be released.. propaganda... bye!

Unknown said...

Buhari should order his boko haram pubils to release the chibok girls. The struggle is over. Both Buhari and boko haram have achieved their aim.Power has returned to the notth.

If they know so much about their whereabouts and their current wellbeing, whatever is stopping them from bringing these girls home to their families? Waiting for d comprehensive report o.

Unknown said...

Well-done historian. Why not write a personal letter to the oba of Lagos so he'll know n handover to the oba of benin. Don't face ur science jeje o.. be doing immigration work dat nobody sent u.. bye!

Ok so i attended a redeem Church, named Jesus house DC, to be precise in Maryland USA. During the sermon, some dude came out with two ladies, apparently they were the two ladies that escaped amongs the chikob girls. He narrated how the ladies escaped as well as how they walked through the forest for 7days. to cut the long story short, i came home and narrated the story to a couple of people. they started laughing at me but, for what ever reason they din't believe the story. they said thats not true. on the other hand i find it very weird to believe that some one would come in the presence of the whole congregation and lie (irrespective of the fact, stuff like this happen). please linda verify, if those girls really did escape, before some one comes to rip us off all in the name of fund raising.

Its over a year and the Federal Government doesn't feel shame about this situation yet has the audacity to spew trash regarding it.

So what of the girls we've seen used as suicide bombers with their pictures in death pasted side by side with their school yearbook?
