Iconic newscaster, Ruth Benamaisia-Opia & daughters cover Allure

If you grew up in Nigeria in the 80s and 90s then you should know this woman. She was one of the original glamour gals of television. Ruth Benamaisia-Opia was the darling of viewers for many years when she was a newscaster at NTA. She and grown daughters cover today's Vanguard Allure.

I know her too well. One of the face of NTA 9 o'clock news. Lovely daughters.

I also remember Ronke Ayuba, Sienne Allwell-Brown, Jamila Atiku Abubakar,
Hauwa Baba Ahmed and Lola Alakija. They were all good newscasters.

OMG! Amazeballs! Good to see her again.

Her name was just as electrifying as her voice and presence on air. Her days of Newsline and anchoring the news can't be forgotten so soon. Her daughter to her left is her carbon copy. Beautiful

To get some facts right -
Professor Eric Opia.
OMPADEC and not OPEC.

Hmm, time has gone. 6 Billion naira disappeared while he was chairman.
He and his brother Eddy were bad guys, rich and loved women!!
