The senate has confirmed the nomination of Professor Mahmud Yakubu as INEC Chairman and four INEC Commissioners namely Antonla Taiye Okoosi Simbine for North-central, Alhaji Baba Shettima Arfo for North-east, Mohammed Mustafa Lecky for South-south, Amina Zakari for North East and Soyebi Adedeji Solomon for South-west. They were all screened today October 29th.

The Senate confirms everything brought to its table. They're just wasting our time with the so called screenings. Tell me where in the world of democracy where the president will be the one to appointment the officers who will be responsible to conduct elections? If it was so during Jonathan's tenure, can't they rectify the Constitution so as to correct the mistake? University should be responsible for the appointment because it is a neutral institution when it comes to politics.
