Governor Ambode to render Quarterly Account of Stewardship

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state has promised to hold quarterly town hall meetings in the state where he will give account of his stewardship to residents of the state. Akinwunmi made the promise in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Habib Aruna.
“The maiden edition of our quarterly report will be rendered in the first week of October and will continue in that tradition every three months. At the end of each quarter, our government will report to the people of the state on the journey so far and the task ahead. We are committed to making the various public institutions work for the benefit of the people of the state.
That in my view is why we were elected. Our government will use the town hall meetings to get feelers from the populace, on how government affects them and what they want from government. The populace will also have the opportunity to know what we have been doing and what we intend to do to make the state safer, cleaner and prosperous,’’ the statement read

That is the best thing any governor in Nigeria has planned to do in recent times. Like it is done in the United States, the governor should make sure all various interest groups are represented. The people should be able to ask questions directly to government officials and get answers. The town hall meetings should also be broadcast live to enable people at home to ask questions too. Thanks governor

Good move, in my view. However, there has been too much talk around what you will do Mr. Governor, rather than what you have done and ou are already over 100 days just talking away. Presently, the state seems to be degenerating since your swearing in. Beggars are back on the road in full force, LASTMA seems to have suddenly become less motivated leading to more intense traffic, drivers now drive on BRT lane without fear, robberies have gone up (especially in traffic), okadas are back on the road, building collapse has continued etc. I think Lagosians are more interested in the sustenance of the standard Fashola built than a quarterly town hall meeting! Please, focus on your work, deliver a working Lagos where people are happy, safe and secure. AFter doing these, check if you still have time available. If you do, then we can have your town hall meetings

For instance, what has done since May 29th when he was sworn in?Fighting and Rubbishing Fashola.Story for the Gods.

Fantastic comment, you are obviously an intelligent person

I had a dream that Ambode didn't win the second term due to performance below par. He has no agenda for Lagos. Mark my words.

Thank you Segzy,very well said.
Ambode is too busy pulling down Fashola to do any serious work.
Lagos is regressing instead of progressing and he's talking about town hall meetings.
Ambode has been in power for 3 months ,maybe we should have a meeting now so
he can fully explain the "NOTHING " he has done so far.

Lagosians are no longer safe on the roads or in their homes.
Someone should please tell Ambode he was voted to work and not to talk/witch hunt.

my view is you improve on existing system that is working instead of rubbishing it when you dont have a beeter one. so far i have not seen what Ambode has acheived because our Express road are like dusbin yard,Pedestrain bridges are not left out with dirts. Oshodi traffic has been on the increase lately, Robbery attack hmmmm.traffic on the increase on our major roads. Bikes okada riders story for another day. God help us
