Please Linda do correct this .. I read this article on the 29th July by the telegraph posted on flipboard that Nigeria is predicted to the the 3rd most populous by 2050 surpassing the U.S.A and not the 4th. Please check this and correct this data.
This statistic is technically very wrong. If Nigeria will increase from 170M to 400M in 2050. So China that has population of 2.2Bln or India of about 2Bln will not increase? Please shut-up reporter.
It's not nonsense predictions. Its demographics or what we call economics in sec skl. America right now has an aging population, the largest age groups are in their sixties. Apart from that, birthrate of most american women have drastically reduced, and even those that give birth mostly have 1-3 kids, but there are some exceptions. These factors makes it likely that in a next few decades, their population will reduce. But in nigeria, a woman is more likely to give birth to between 4-8 children, and there are no quality birth control checks. So nigerian population is increasing exponentially, btw m sure you dnt biliv we are not up to 200 million, some people I know weren't even counted during the last census.
