No Linda. She is first a wife. That is what brought about a baby. This is one mistake that breaks homes. People tend to put their kids before their spouse but that isn't right.
Ms. Nsofor you are absolutely right. You can't put the curtain before the cow, it's the other way around (cow makes the milk that goes in the curtain). Wife then mother; doesn't make your job as a mom any less special. More importantly those kids will grow up, find their own life and partner, then leave, guess who's still there? Your life partner (if you are fortunate enough)!

I agree fully, you are first a wife or a husband before a mother or a father. That is how God made it and that is how it always will be. After the kids grow and move on to build a family or life for themselves and you people will remain husband & wife still a nuclear family but to ur kids you will become an extended family to their nuclear family. Our young women must never forget that.

Marriage is between a man and a woman. Children are a blessing when and if they come. So first, you are a wife 'cos your husband should come before your children. Then you are a mother to your children when God blesses you. Marriage isn't about having children but for companionship. Yes, it's difficult to comprehend. As a mum, I find it hard as well 'cos truly a mother's love for her children is unconditional but love for hubby is always Conditional as e dey get kleg some times. But God has asked us to put our spouses first! I am trying...really hard!
