While I don't agree on banning Wiz Kid and co (I don't think he's serious about that anyway), I agree that Nigeria's music industry is saturated with BS, mediocrity and half baked music. Most of the artists steal their beats and tunes from foreign artists, they also steal their lyrics but think people wouldn't know since they end up translating the lyrics into Yoruba, Pidgin and so on. Then again, how can one expect quality music from a country that is practically in ruins? If we want to uplift Nigeria, we have to start by giving our people quality education, get religious fanatics and career politicians out of office (education is the key to doing that), get jungle justice out of our country (again, education is the key) and the list goes on. The more educated a nation is, the more successful the country and its people will be.
