Poverty of the mind

To all those who are abusing him, when he was slaving out and making the money where were you and what were you doing?

It's his money and he has every right to do whatever thing he want or build anything he want. You can't tell him to give the poor if he dont want to, you sure didnt make that money for him.

No matter how he got the money, it is his money and that is what he want to do with his money...when you get yours do whatsoever you wish to do with it and stop running your mouth over someone else' success!

Work hard and you will get there!

Can you guys read at all? It was commissioned by a military administrator. He wasn't governor then, so it was not Abia State money. Anyway it is over the top. Is it a resort or something?

Tax payers money o. He should be probed. Wat a fucker!

Which Abia State money? Didn't you read that it was built in 1998? Or see that it was commissioned on May 28th 1999. He didn't become Governor until 29th May 1999. So unless he's a wizard, how can it be state funds that built it.

I'm hating, but this shit is ugly...All that money and no taste. Smh. He should go and build schools with that money.

Anonymous said...

I am not saying he didn't steal money neither but Lol! People need to remember he started making millions at the young age of 25 and became a billionaire even before becoming a governor. Secondly, this house was commissioned before his went in power as its is clearly stated. Lastly, I'm not in support of wasting money on such but it is his money and if he feels such a house will make him happy, then so be it. By the way, why make so much money if you won't spend it the way it pleases you?

he made his money before he became governor. he has an insurance company and a commercial bank in 6 countries in west africa apart from his shipping line and real estate so he can do wateva. he has made his money

The saddest thing is that when the revolution happens this fine edifice will be burnt to the ground. Shame.

There are 2 issues i must point out. I dont believe that photo no 7 is part of this house, secondly, the design, construction of exterior and interior of this house is very local. I dont know for the rest of you, im an architect and a very note worthy one as a matter of fact. This is an example of when a local champion is trying to show off ill gotten affluence. With all the money, he has no taste. This means that anything bad will always be bad.

Orji and His mother and Brothers Raped Abia state for 12 yrs and installed another thief to guaranty continued bastardization of the state. All this ill gotten splendor culminated in the presentl rotten state of things in Abia. This man and his entire family belong to the hang man's noose. Wake up Nigeria, wake up fellow Abians.

We should exercise some restraints in condemning Orji Uzor Kalu on the actaualisation of his dream. As can be observed from one of the pictures, this edifice was commissioned by Anthony Obi shortly before Kalu took over the mantle of leadership in Abia on 29th May 1999. Did he have access to government funds before assumption of duty as governor of the State?

Let us encourage hardwork, perseverance and steadfastness by refraining from condemning people who have achieved success by employing good virtues to actualise their vision by dint of lawful engagement in entrepreneurship. It does not matter if some of us are not obsessesed with the passion of building mansions but he is and he was able to successfully do it without being in government when he completed the estate.

Guys, let us really assumed this edifice was built before he became governor (as seen in the commissioning date); but should we ask ourselves some pertinent questions?

1) Could we have documentary and pictorial evidence of the state of this edifice when it was commissioned in 1999, a day before he was sworn in as governor?

2) Could we also see documentary and pictorial evidence of the state of this edifice at the end of his first tenure as governor of Abia State in 2003?

3) Should we also be interested in seeing documentary and pictorial evidence of the state of this edifice at the end of his tenure as a governor in 2007?

4) Should we then conclude that, if documentary and pictorial evidences provided, show that the state of this edifice at the date of commissioning are the same when compared to its state at the end of Orji’s tenure as governor in 2007, that this edifice was built with personal non-government funds?

5) However, if after comparison there are substantial infrastructural developmental changes between these period, it should be concluded that peoples-government funds were used for this edifice?

6) Conversely, if documentary and pictorial evidences show that substantial infrastructural developmental changes took place immediately after leaving office as governor, then peoples-government funds, stashed away somehow somewhere, has been used to further develop this edifice to its current state?

7) Put precisely and concisely, how come these pictures are coming out now in 2012/13, and not when he is government, when his village was a mecca of sort for media practitioners and photo-journalist?
Seriously, EFCC, ICPC and CCB should go into this case and see if government funds has been used on this edifice, somehow somewhere.

I am an Igbo man, but it pisses me off, that the industrial city of Aba is a skeleton of itself and a governor of its state is boasting of this sort of opulence.

If findings show that government funds were used for this edifice, it should be confiscated and turned into an international hotel with its proceeds channeled to the resuscitation Aba Industrial city, to the benefits of all Abians.

Igbo are REPUBLICANS! Not clowns!
