Singer J Martins stuns 18 year old fan with $10,000 wristwatch

18 year old Musa Isa from Kogi State got the surprise of his life on Saturday June 15th when J Martins called him on stage during the 2nd leg of the Star Music Trek in Lokoja and gave him a wrist watch valued at $10, 000...which is a little over N1.5million.

J.Martins then urged the secondary school student to work hard and face his studies squarely. Musa couldn't contain his joy and said he will remember this act of generosity for a long time to come.

Whispering into Musa's ears..."Now sell the watch and put the money into a savings to help further your education". Abi, my people? #I'mjustsaying! :-)

God bless J Martins' heart!

ROFL! I'd sell it too but it's his choice. Besides, selling it would be kind of disrespectful to J Martins. He can do whatever he wants with it.

The watch isn't his to give

It's courtesy of Star beer

Somebody that just got married giving away 10,000 worth of watch? Unto wetin na? Him never buy baby food finish na to give out expensive watch

justlikeme@live.com said...

Marketing strategy again! Some years back, Faze was in lautech for this same star strek thing and he threw a gold chain worth 500k into the crowd!

Star is doing this, not J-Martin. He needs every penny he is paid to get on that stage and every penny is not even worth 1.5million.

Lucky boy should sell anyway or better still be like me, stunt on 'em girls ;) You wont believe how many girls he will straff with the hype! He can only do that while he is young abi

Where exactly will he find the kind of client that would buy the $10k wristwatch? Its not as if there is a legal pawn shop biz in Nigeria. This one na real abracadabra gift. Take the watch back and hand him $10k cash

Nigerians have to be the most gullible people on earth. A $10,000 dollar wrist watch from J Martins to someone just anyone in the crowd? How much is his artiste's fee that he can afford to throw that kind of money away? Who even valued the watch to say it is worth that much? What make is it? We swallow everything hook line aand sinker. That's how that Amosun man that likes to decieve himself claims he made the most expensive champagne worth over a 100 Million Naira. Did professional jewellers certify the amount of diamonds put on the bottle - is there a second opinion external perhaps of the real worth of that bottle - is there any acclaimation from the Guiness books of records as to Amosun's claims? And he just dashed Don Jazzy over a N100 million with no strings and I'm yet to see his name in Forbes as first 100 rich men in the world. Na wa only God will help our deception. Onanikoko.

Neoress said...

Now the question is who or where is he gonna sell the wrist watch to?

Wanas said...

yea ryt Lindiway! he shuld sell d damn watch already. but who s gonna be d buyer, you?dnt fink so. Watch of dat worth goin as second hand, for dis country?maybe he ll av to leav d shores of naija to sell it,dat is if its not evn stolen bfor he attempts to

Make 250k Online Monthly said...

I would have appreciated this kind gesture the more if it was a cash, the boy may never be able to find a good buyer for this watch should he decide to sell and keeping it may be risky cos it can be stolen anytime.

Anonymous said...

give him education or something more sensible. A watch is nothing abeg

Anonymous said...

It's becoming profoundly worrying the lengths our artistes are going to to falsely elevate their profile among the vast majority of gullible NIgerians. Giving away 10 thousand dollar watches and posting pictures of Bentleys and Porsches every other day is seriously unbecoming..and to think that these Nigerians still go to their shows and buy their records when they're so shamelessly flaunting their wealth in your faces. What surprises me most is the absurd valuations that these pple place on these items. Who exactly is responsible for the valuation of these million naira cars n watches. cars . Even if they could actually afford these things, doesn't it behove on them to remain humble and attribute their success ti their teeming number if fans. Anyways I wish them all the bestbig luck. However I'll like to point them in the direction of various globally recognised artiste that wasted their money on such crass luxuries who today and battling with bankruptcy.. You can only be flavour of the month for so long..it NEVER lasts for ever..any by the way no one ever thinks it will happen to them... To be fore warned...

Anonymous said...

Well this surprise makes no sense to me at all. A wristwatch worth 1.5million Naira to an 18 yr old secondary school boy? I can't stop SMH! Even if he were to sell it as advised, who will he be selling to? Oh pls... If he wants to change lives then he should have given him that cash/cheque, that way he would have made sense.

Anonymous said...

Rbsh... u pple jst dey hail ds man 'unto wetin nau?' hw wil d boy sel d w.watch?,who wil he sel it to (remember he is in kogi st o),who can afford dat kind of money jst like dat 2 buy an ordinary w.watch, dnt u think d boy is nt safe and anybdy dat buys it is nt safe either.so wat ar we talkin about?? cnt he gv him cash or better stil scholarship... Think abt it/huh!/
